  1. I think it more as examples than a comparison. My point was - anything made without a company's consent means that product is not tied to them. NES games seem to be in a niche place this gets argued with any seriousness; whn it seems to be more based on nostalgia and maybe some people who have decided to pay money on these games. I do think your Tengen games, Wisdom Tree games etc is great. And this thread isn't about me trying to rationalize a collection, because those games have no appeal to me. Heck, neither does Stadium Events, which is certainly a licensed game to own to complte the set.
  2. Can you name other hobbies where unlicensed products are considered part o the set to own to the main collectors? I am genuinely curious about this.
  3. My 32X collection: And other than Space Harrier and Spider-man, those are probably the games worth owning. BUT.. supposedly the 32X improves your Genesis games.
  4. My understanding is that because it was sold in stores during the NES' relevancy, people decided to include them. But there may be other reasons? Not sure, thus the thread.
  5. I was just trying to reply to peg's comments without dropping to his level. He constantly misinterprets me on this issue so not sure whether he's ignorant or just grumpy.@chromableedstudios mighta been a genuine joke so no hate were that the case .
  6. A true video game philosophy worth pondering. I think being sold in a box at a store is why so many people seem to think unlicensed cartridges should be considered actual Nintendo games, rather than games that play on a Nintendo console.
  7. Because they're not, but you're allowed to be wrong brother just post why in that thread.
  8. I honestly don't mean this in a mean way, but that is exactly the sorta thing I try to avoid. I have my gaming area, and once things won't slot into the space then I say no to it or remove some things.
  9. Watching a YT video and it's like a copy/paste script at this point to say WW has aged better. No it hasn't! I enjoy the game but visually, Twilight Princess looks nicer. Obviously this is an opinion thing, but it's annoying that no one seems to want to state otherwise publicly lest they be shunned by the gaming community. Just a rant :), darn Youtube.
  10. I was super young so the console wasn't mine, it was the famly's. When I was older and had my own game boy/SNES, then I would keep the boxes.
  11. Haha no way am I getting into the CIB market at this point in the game ;). Manuals are a consideration though. And sorry, sorry. It's not even a super popular game, but I think I got a good deal. AD&D Pool Radiance. I might even want to use the manual with that one.
  12. Haha ok it hasn't been delivered but is on its way. Even though I just bought this because it was the cheapest one, I admit am pretty excited. I've never actually owned a CIB NES game, despite playing the console when it was commercially relevant. Super excited.
  13. Yeah, he should also change the 2 to a 1 in his name.
  14. Nice, I was checking that as well haha. Very cool.
  15. The only other thing I really collect and play would be Magic the Gathering. I can say with certainty that any cards not printed by WotC approved printers is pretty universally considered not a MtG card. I know your example was comparable as they are both tech-based, but I do think my example has merit as well.
  16. haha man I was drawing a blank on bands. But! Tom was replaced so perhaps they are collecting new band members..
