  1. Looks like ol' Putin is going to have quite a few... unfortunate events happen in the now and near future
  2. Fortunately, criminals are generally very very stupid... While peeing, the man made eye contact with the clerk and asked, "We on Green Light?" referring to Project Greenlight, the program where police monitor cameras at Detroit businesses. It is a Project Greenlight location, and police know who the man is. "If he thinks this is a joke, well we'll be seeing him pretty soon," said DPD Deputy Chief Eric Ewing.
  3. Yeah, I'm really curious what exactly is on the "special features DVD" - I actually asked LRG about it when this first came out, and they basically said they don't know. I mean, they worded it in the usual jargon "we're constantly updating...blah blah blah" so anyway, I want to know
  4. Seems real, because he is facing a ton of backlash. If it turned out to be fake, I think Smith would face far harsher consequences. Also, you're not permitted to swear in the award ceremony, and Smith most certainly did. I think he's just entitled, and feels he can go on stage and just do as he wants because he's a so-called "A-lister" or whatever... Yeah, I did not watch this award ceremony, which I agree with you is for the most part pointless.
  5. The fancy Sam & Max is for the PC? Could someone take pics of what's inside? I don't think LRG ever said exactly what is included bonus-wise, and I would like to know
  6. No, it was real. https://slate.com/culture/2022/03/will-smith-chris-rock-oscars-slap-staged-real.html
  7. Thanks I had many more PS1 games, but I'm now just keeping the ones I really appreciate and enjoy.
  8. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar says Will Smith 'perpetuated stereotypes about the Black community' by slapping Chris Rock at Oscars https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/kareem-abdul-jabbar-will-smith-perpetuated-stereotypes-black-community-slapping-chris-rock-oscars-145518033.html “With a single petulant blow, he advocated violence, diminished women, insulted the entertainment industry, and perpetuated stereotypes about the Black community,” Abdul-Jabbar writes of Smith “Young boys — especially Black boys — watching their movie idol not just hit another man over a joke, but then justify it as him being a superhero-like protector, are now much more prone to follow in his childish footsteps,” he explained, adding, “One of the main talking points from those supporting the systemic racism in America is characterizing Blacks as more prone to violence and less able to control their emotions. Smith just gave comfort to the enemy by providing them with the perfect optics they were dreaming of.” Agreed.
  9. These games are not technically new, they've been in my trade list for years - and I have gotten NOTHING but low-ball offers for them! So, I just decided to take all the PS1 games I really love, make sure they're all CIB and MINTY (they are and remove them from my trade list! So, now they're my PS1 Collection ps The original soundtrack to SOTN is sweet...
  10. Colorado may amend new law that limits arrests for weapons possession https://www.yahoo.com/news/colorado-may-amend-law-limits-193603725.html When Pueblo police responded to reports of gunfire near the 1800 block of East 5th Street earlier this month, they said they found an armed man who had eight previous felony offenses, including several that were drug-related. But legislation that took effect at the beginning of March meant they couldn't arrest him, they said. Previous offenders convicted of felonies related to drugs, burglary, arson, and more are not barred from possessing guns under the new law. Federal law still prohibits gun possession by those with previous felony convictions, but they will no longer be prosecuted in Colorado. One of the main reasons we're having an uptick in violence is because of morons that are put in charge. We need to vote these useless politicians out and elect people with a modicum of common sense.
  11. I read that the commanding officer committed suicide. Might be true, but not necessarily of course.
  12. I understand the drivers got caught off-guard by the snow squalls, but absolutely right - you should NOT be driving in such conditions you should pull over until it's safe - and yet people (as usual) think they're just so smart...
  13. "It's snowing and I can't see much... guess I'll just hit the accelerator!"
  14. Switch edition? I got mine some time ago, what a blast to play! Some people complained that they switched (no pun intended voice actors and slightly changed one or two lines of dialogue - as a fan of the original, I actually think the remastered edition is better!
  15. Putler. https://www.yahoo.com/news/nuclear-fears-us-amid-russia-042304334.html Close to half of Americans say they are very concerned that Russia would directly target the U.S. with nuclear weapons, and an additional 3 in 10 are somewhat concerned about that, according to the new poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research. Russian President Vladimir Putin placed his country’s nuclear forces on high alert shortly after the Feb. 24 invasion. Roughly 9 in 10 Americans are at least somewhat concerned that Putin might use a nuclear weapon against Ukraine, including about 6 in 10 who are very concerned. "He is out of control, and I don’t think he really has concern for much of anything but what he wants,” said Robin Thompson, a retired researcher from Amherst, Massachusetts. “And he has nuclear weapons."
  16. https://komonews.com/news/local/2-teen-fugitive-suspects-in-pawn-shop-robbery-now-prime-suspects-in-tacoma-pot-shop-murder Hatfield and Jones have also been charged in a violent and brazen daylight pawn shop robbery in Federal Way in which customers and workers were pistol whipped and assaulted during the incident...After that robbery, the two were ordered to wear electronic monitoring systems but they have both cut the devices off and have been on the run ever since, law enforcement authorities told KOMO News. I'm shocked... shocked I tell you. How is it possible that an electronic monitoring system could fail to stop a violent offender?? Of course because of such utter bullshite, these two pieces of human excrement have now murdered an innocent person, well, at least one that we know of.
  17. Yes, they do know more than you, and more than I, about this subject. If anyone thinks people that are professors know less than them ABOUT A SUBJECT THEY HAVE BEEN STUDYING AND RESEARCHING THEIR WHOLE LIFE... well, they probably should consider medication for narcissism. Haven't had time to read the articles you linked to yet, but I promise you I will. Also, here is an interesting article that claims limiting large-capacity magazines does help reduce casualties in mass shootings. https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/1745-9133.12487 Of course a couple of things to keep in mind 1)Mass shootings are rare. I know how rare they are - do you? What percentage do you think they are? https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/mass-shootings-are-rare-firearm-suicides-are-much-more-common-and-kill-more-americans 2)Limiting LCMs may help in the tiny fraction that is mass shootings, but it does not help in the vast vast majority of other firearm shootings, as the previous paper (you know, the one written by professors) shows. Oh, and the paper also noted that "Other laws commonly advocated as solutions to mass shootings—comprehensive background checks, assault weapons bans, and de-regulation of civilian concealed carry of firearms—were unrelated to fatal mass shootings." Oh yeah, and I took my first firearms safety course when I was 12.
  18. I don't think it's fair to assume LRG is being devious here. Currently there is definitely evidence that the developers wanted two different versions. As I said, they should release the NES and famicom version at the same time to avoid any misinterpretations, but I don't see any censorship here. Hopefully LRG and/or the developers make it clear exactly what happened and why.
  19. Did some more digging here It appears that it's not actually censored, and that the Japanese game developers thought it would be cool to have two different versions as was the case back in the NES days. Honestly, LRG should include the famicom version as well and there wouldn't be any issues - regardless, as far as I can tell this again is not really censorship.
