I disagree -- Nintendo themselves made clear the DS was a "separate product line" from GBA....though they most likely were using it to CYA just in case the DS didn't work out. The DS is just much too different from GB/GBC/GBA to not be any less than the start of a whole new product line. If you guys get what I mean by that. As for the WiiWare games, well TBH unless it's on an actual disc (or at least had a disc version) then it's not a real Wii game.

Maybe a better analogy would be how the Braves won the division every year from 1991-2005, NL pennant five out of eight times from 1991-99, and only ended up with one championship? And that 1999 World Series I really thought the Braves would've put up a much better fight.

Speaking of which my boyhood idol Don Mattingly (he's from fairly close to where I live) is your manager! I wonder if this is why he chose to manage the Marlins...the Marlins tingled, the other teams...nothing One thing's for sure you won't be seeing Donnie Baseball scratching his head in Miami!!

Not nearly as embarrassing as say, the Pirates winning three straight division titles in 1990-92, just barely missing the World Series the last two of those...and then going the next twenty straight seasons without so much as a winning record. Or how about the Cowboys, who won three out of four Super Bowls in 1992/1993/1995...but incredibly, the so-called "America's Team" has not made even one "Final Four" (conference title game) appearance since. And I thought us going from 1998-2010 without any Final Fours was plenty bad enough!!! Or how about the poor Phillies, who had to wait 97 years to get even one championship (and only two NL pennants in those 97 years) and was the first to make 10,000 losses. Those my friend are embarrassing.

Yeah IIRC for 1982 NFL they had to do eight per conference right? The modern six per conference didn't start until 1990.

Ever tried Tales of Phantasia? It (along with Star Ocean) is the biggest SNES game ever (6 megabyes, or 42 "megabits") and it is so cute and charming...with all kinds of little, eh...surprises. Because it's Japan-only and we've only been able within the past five years or so have the means to play the translated version on a real system (using an Everdrive or one of those custom made cartridges where the game/cartridge looks just like what the US release might've looked like) you might not have gotten a chance to try it. And don't forget Dragon Quest 5 where you get to choose a wife and have the kids have mom's matching hair color.

Better to have made playoffs and lost than not made the playoffs at all. After all anything can happen in the post-season...we've seen it in all major and college sports time and time and time and time and time again... In my beloved alma mater's case for example, we ended up on the wrong side of that back in 2004 and ended up on the right side of that back in 2014.

But what about what we were all taught as kids about "cheaters never win"?
