  1. The flux feels like wood varnish, very dry and not sticky at all so I left it there. Yeah, I'm thinking about preserving the labels, not sure how yet. They are just barely glued to the ABS. I like the "factory reconditioned" sticker also. Cleaning these devices is like a therapy, specially when it's old but still in good shape. I have a thing for bringing old abandoned things back to use/life, restoration and such. Feels good.
  2. I have a "Zelda 2 - The Adventure of Link" CIB to post, have you decided on a standard for the pictures?
  3. Not much, just cleaned my new Atari 2600 Light Sixer
  4. Just noticed it's a light sixer, edited the original text. Left that board as it was, just removed dust from the switches and such. Thanks.
  5. Another picture, the forum compresses them and it loses quality
  6. I'm cleaning this 2600 light sixer and noticed this sweet like substance on it's boards. I think it may be a leftover soldering substance but also could be some kind of anti-rust protection. Should I remove it with isopropylic alcohol?

    Freebies

I'll get them all, PM me
  8. I'll use json, for sure. Amazing spec. The hardest part is making a "build system" for free form inputs. Totally doable at a later time. I'll begin with adding items to the collection and go from there.
  9. The next few weeks I'll be busy but I already found a game database and I'm collecting (damn) all the information you're giving me. Up to now, the primary need is avoiding buying duplicates, followed by metadata (where it was bought, how much was paid, variation specific info) and then collection value. Maybe, I'll add a ordering generator: it will suggest how you should order them in your shelf, by title, year, publisher, genre and so on. In my mind it would be awesome The most difficult would be fcgamer's use case but I think it's doable.
  10. What GVN lacks that made you try exporting it to price charting? What feature neither have that you'd need/like?
  11. I'm considering building a system focused on hardcore collectors. Cartridges would have information like seal type (the round/oval thing), hangtab, 3/5 screws and so on... Maybe a nice data base with the title's/system's release date, publisher and so on.... Also some financial history like how much was paid for the item and whatever people think it's worth maintaining for later reference. But it's more of a personal project while I learn this stuff (I always hated frontend development but I gotta catch up).
  12. How do you keep track of cartridges, devices and whatever you collect? I'm beginning my studies on front-end development and wondering if there's a demand for such kind of software.
  13. You are just wasting everyone's time in a previously productive adult conversation. Please, stop.
  14. Really uncalled for. You guys need to chill about Covid related stuff and be more respectful to others. "Oh he doesn't want to get a shot, so that's why he's not getting views and is absolutely Hitler reincarnated!"
  15. I asked them and I got this reply. Just saving you 10 days waiting for their reply. Hi, Yes, you can definitely submit the factory sealed case as is, and we will carefully remove the games for grading. You will need to create a form for all the games in the box, and leave a note on the order that you would like all of the games removed from the case for grading. As far as having the seller ship them directly to us that would have to be arranged with the seller and they would have to include your submission form. Take care, The Wata Team
  16. For me it wasn't a bad game, just over-hyped. It's a perfect sequel to a perfect game. If they produced anything else they'd be bashed for "not making a Duke Nukem game".
  17. I gave it a try but my colorblindness wouldn't me allow to progress much.
  18. Well, just got this beast today, Sony Trinitron KV-2970T. Testing and it's great so far
  19. I don't understand how people can't understand it's a damn character. It's for comedy and entertainment. The character may review a good game as if it was a bad one. And that's fucking ok. my god.
  20. Yes, it's CRT and slim, which saves some space. I'm not into the technical specifications that makes a tv suitable for retrogaming... It has RF, RGB and video component inputs, this is all I know that's wanted in one of these.
  21. I found one of these being sold for a good price. Would it be a good pick for playing Atari, NES, Genesis and SNES? https://www.lg.com/ae/tvs/lg-21FU1-ultra-slim-tv
  22. The very first items I bought for my collection arrived today. Gonna clean them up later
