  1. Always amazed at the lack of awareness by some. I got an expensive N64 game and I think my Pocky & Rocky & Becky shipped in a similar manner.
  2. I hate those security stickers... Circuit City ones seem to be the worst. Very impressed you were able to get that off without compromising the wrap seal. Well done. Have to be careful with boxed games and goo gone in that if there is any tear/venthole in the wrap it can get in and damage the cardboard.
  3. Collect? Sealed. Yes, I'm one of those lol. I also have many opened games. But I considered my sealed games my "collection".
  4. Tanooki mentioned HA/WATA was setting high starting values. If people are willing to pay that much, it gets bid on, that is the market setting the price. I don't know all the details of the WATA and HA relationships. Are they trying to manipulate the market, maybe. Without knowing all the details I won't comment on that. However, setting high starting values isn't market manipulation.
  5. Just checked my DW... and fortunately it is the 1 HP version. Wish I had known about all these variants years ago. Also wish I would have realized the premium condition gets since I was not that concerned with it. Is there a good consolidated list of variants for sealed games? Seems like the info is a bit scattered.
  6. I don't see it as a conflict, they compliment each other. The market is setting the prices.
  7. Great info, appreciate the work jonebone. Are people regrading their VGAs for better grades now?
  8. You have no idea how much you've hurt me by posting that video lol. I still hold that my unopened disc based games have never been touched by bare human hands. This is definitely an issue with consoles, many of which have no seals or stickers.
  9. Babbage's... brings back memories. If WATA grades the wrap separately, what detracts from disc based cases, insert alignment? I may be wrong, but it seems like there would be less variability with the hard cases versus boxed games.
  10. I've always liked having price stickers on the games.
  11. That's too bad, I have been putting off getting my first games graded until the turnaround times got better... not sure it's worth the increased prices now.
