  1. Rockman & Forte is a must for Mega Man fans. Ignore the USA port to GBA. Play the correct version on SFC.
  2. That isn’t a part code. It should be five digits and a letter example:
  3. Looks like it. What’s the part code on it?
  4. What happened here? Is this an obscure early print error? Pic of the back?
  5. Turbo is pretty slow right now. My two turbo orders just shipped today. Two months. meanwhile cgc is shipping in one tier within 2 weeks, at $50.
  6. If it’s turbo then expect it to take 2 months door to door. I have late march turbos and one just shipped. I’m also 99% sure they just let them sit instead of shipping them out when they’re encapsulated and done.
  7. That feature still exists. The footprint is just smaller.
  8. I got my first sub with the redesigned case. I gotta say it's LEAGUES better. Worth noting is that the 3DS size is in many ways the "perfect fit." From what I can tell there's no "back" for the inner blister here. Based on photos from other subs, a CD jewel case will have a back for the blister. I still have a six game reholder sub at Wata which tests the other more common sizes (N64/NES, Game Boy, DVD, DS) so I'll be very curious to see how the empty space scales with those sizes. Overall, I think the new case is better than CGCs and especially better than Wata's own legacy design. I wouldn't say it can beat VGAs holder design, but only because in general I think it competes in different ways. I still don't love the inner blister but it's clear Wata intends to stick with it for the foreseeable future. Pros: Feels and looks great Has weight (none of that toy-like lightness like with CGC) Better use of space (more depth options) Case is crystal clear Cons Inner blister doesn't seem any better (no corner bubbles) Scuffs all over the case out of the box (seriously, how) CIB sub-grades are still on the back label (not relevant to this submission, but just a general annoyance) In my mind, Wata is beating its main competition (CGC) with this design. Here's some comparison photos:
  9. Is that Metroid II Canadian print? 9.8 is huge
  10. It’s not here yet but I won this on the recent certifiedlink. One game closer to a full New U set.
  11. any chance you can share side pics? i'm curious how thin this case is! apparently PS1 fits in the same size.
  12. Idk if anyone has posted these yet but i have a handful of variants that aren't listed in the OP, didn't see them in followups so here ya go. they're organized by part code. I have them listed out on my website as well (see sig) for easy copy-pasta.
  13. the real question is when was my last sober purchase
  14. Oh forgot this one. Wata slightly less photogenic so might reslab down the line
  15. Well their username is Code Monkey. Surely they are a non-zero amount of AI.
  16. it's produced by the pawn stars crew apparently. it looks like trash tv. but i guess thats what happens when you hire trash tv people to make tv show.
  17. I honestly couldn't tell you - i was going off of the close ups on the sides from their insta vid. i saw what looked like clips at the top where the frosted plastic is. nice game
  18. Heh based on the vid and pics there are pins in the inside of the holder, on the sides near the top still. Should be fun to play with lol
  19. Wata posted a glam vid of the new designs: https://www.instagram.com/p/CrbNObSsRhD/ Also on their blog: https://blog.watagames.com/2023/04/20/the-new-wata-holder/ Available for all orders made today and onward. Seems like any order before today will be put in the legacy holder. I asked if my in process orders could be moved into new cases but they said no. One thing I find interesting is they made the jewel cases perfectly shallow (makes sense, very thin). But sadly the dvd cases still have ~2x the dvd game depth if I'm seeing it right. I'll know for sure when my reholder test is back. Overall I like the design. Curious what y'all think.
  20. Alright. I have six games ready to reholder in the new case design. I'll write about it on my blog but i'll also share some photos after as well, with same size games side-by-side in the old holder. Any other sizes I should consider? I don't have any Sega or Atari sadly but I'd include those if I did.
  21. the label design does leave a lot of empty space. i think that's more a side effect of the new notation strategy which aims to add much fewer details, but more meaningful details. that said, if the new case is better in meaningful ways then i'll be happy. the label isn't overbearing like in cgc's case (who TF thought a giantblue label was a good idea)
