  1. Hello, I am back from not being on here in quite a few months. Looking to trade these games for now. Not interested in selling due to the new IRS rules. For items over $40 in value would like to stick to 1-for-1 or 2-for-1 trades to avoid tons of filler for a nice game. For trade: New 3DS XL Console - black (TRADED) NES Shatterhand Arkista's Ring (TRADED) TMNT 3 Manhattan Project Journey to Silius SNES Final Fantasy Mystic Quest (TRADED) Donkey Kong Country 2 (not pictured but in good shape. 2. Bob SageT was good friends with Norm Macdonald and had a really touching tribute for Norm right after he died last year. Listening to Bob talk about Norm, you could really tell they cared for each other. Listening to Bill Burr get choked up the other day talking about Bob made me realize how much people loved the guy. Two of my favorite comics were really tight with him. Even Pete Davidson, who I don't really care for, had some really great things to say about Bob Saget. He will be missed. RIP
  3. I'm 100% with you in Facebook groups. Nintendoage wasn't perfect but a lot of the regulars kept it an awesome community and a good chunk of them are on VGS now. Like others have said above, Facebook is all showing off and about the $. It's not about playing games and the enjoyment of games. That being said, I still use FB for buying some items and looking locally at a Marketplace for finds and garage sales. There are some decent subreddits, AtariAge, and VGS for me for gaming discussions, finding new information about games/consoles/accessories, and posting great local finds and pickups in general. It's not NintendoAge but it's a good as we've got. Lastly, fuck GoCollect.
  4. That high hopes song just reminds me of that god awful Pete Buttitigieg campaign dance
  5. Went to a local game store today to splurge using my fantasy football payouts from this season as well as a lot of games/systems for trading in. Found Shockman, never thought I'd own that. Also found Buster Brothers and Blaster Master Enemy Below. After using my winnings and trade-in, this was essentially free. I'm a small step closer towards getting the Turbografx and Gameboy sets!
  6. I have not been on the site for a few weeks with the outage. I wanted to thank @Ferris Bueller for the awesome gifts! Yo Noid is surprisingly tough, the guides are great, and he gave me a free download for his Eaethbound documentary! I'm excited to check it out when I have some down time. Thank you to @Jeevan and @spacepupfor running things! Looking forward to doing this in the fall.
  7. I have the same CRT for my daughter for watching movies (and she'll eventually get her own SNES). The picture quality is surprisingly good for composite on those things. Great finds!
  8. I started collecting more than gaming in 2014 when I got my first job with my college degrees. Just not enough time to play it as I acquire games. I started my collection as a child so the pre-2000 answer may be more accurate. I still game when I can but other priorities like family, work, chores, home repairs/improvements, etc have made playing games less of a priority.
  9. Reacquired a game I regretted selling 5 years ago. Wasn't cheap but I think I did ok on what I paid for it.
