I’ve got some Killer Instinct cards. I’ve had them since 1994. I won them at a KI tournament. But I have no idea if these are what your looking for? I have no idea what they might be worth. But it’s a complete set and pretty much mint/unused. PM me with an offer I guess if your interested.

Just wanted to chime in and say that it’s neat to find someone else who also likes these occasional rental stickers! I also enjoy finding them and usually leave them on the carts as I feel they tell the history and add to the personality of the cart.

Here are some initial pics. As you can see in the pics, it is 100% complete. Everything that came with it is present. Nothing is missing. Matching serial numbers on box, console, and warranty card. Only 1 owner (me) and has been in a pet-free / smoke-free home for its entire life. However, I’m not wasting anymore time taking anymore pics unless and until I know that you are serious about your offer. Nothing against you, but there are too many tire kickers out there. Obviously, more detailed pics, and even video of the system running, etc. can & will be provided, if and when you express genuine interest. Please remember, I was not looking to sell this. Rather, I’m responding to your post expressing an interest in buying one.

I will send you a PM tonight after I do a count. Ok, so I have about 110-120 of these SNES dust protectors. I counted 115, but I may have been a little bit off.

I’ve got all of these, and I would actually consider selling them, but ONLY if they are “fully playable” withOUT messed up colors and graphical glitches on an SD cartridge. Almost every single “VS converted” rom set that I have tried for these games is all messed up and crappy. So for now, these retro zone carts are the only way that I can play them. And they are lots of fun to play. So I can’t sell them yet.

I’m a loose cart guy, and my set consists of the 31 USA releases, the 1 Japan exclusive (Romance of the 3 Kingdoms IV), and the 2 Euro exclusives (Darxide & FIFA Soccer ‘96) However, in doing so, I accumulated several boxes and manuals that I set aside in my trade pile for years, which I would gladly sell. (whereby you would then only need to acquire a loose cart to complete them.) Here is a pic of what I have. PM me if your interested in buying them.

Definitely don’t just solder a wire in! That wouldn’t be “resisting” anything if you did, rather, it would just be a direct connection. At best, it might work for a short while, at worst, it would short the connection and kill the chip completely.

In addition to what we termed a “factory mismatch” over at the Nintendo Age site, there were also some “repaired or serviced” carts that were sent back to Nintendo as defective or damaged; all of these being scenarios where a cart could have been inadvertently made available in a different cart shell. Finding a late release like Konami Bucky O’Hare in a 5-screw cart is just plain wrong. It was never intended to be that way. Nobody should even be actively looking for it. It only has value as an “oddity” and a “novelty”, but it is absolutely nothing more then a mistake. Just like an “inverted jenny” cart. (cart with its sticker applied upside down”. Merely a mistake. While finding an early Konami release like Stinger in a 3-screw cart, is actually “correct”, and is far more realistic. As it would merely imply another production run was made of a previously released title, and it happened during or after the changeover.

Well, but wait a second, 3-screw soccer does actually exist. Numerous copies have been found and pics were shown in the old NintendoAge thread. Etc. Again, as of today, only 5 NES carts have not been found with 3 screws. These are the 5 carts: Irem’s Sqoon Bandai’s Muscle & Chubby Cherub Nintendo’s Stack Up & Clu Clu Land
