  1. The Zombies Ate My Neighbors variant. It was $500 ish for years and I couldn’t justify it. As it crept up to $1,000 I realized if I didn’t get it then it would be too expensive. I finally decided to put out an open offer of $1,500 for a good copy and got 0 responses. Good condition copies dried up on eBay for almost a year and now they’re selling for $2,500-$3,500 plus in good condition for a cardboard box. I’m out.
  2. I’ve had mixed results with truly rare or obscure stuff. My advice is to do your research and ask around. Talk them up, add 50% to whatever you think it’s worth and be prepared for them to come back with a counter offer of double that (minimum). I’ve had times when the seller reached out to me and sold said item way under what I thought it was worth. It’s an emotional roller coaster, lol!

  4. This whole ordeal is gonna make a sick movie! Wolf of Wall Street meets The Big Short meets Narcos. It just needs more hookers and blow!
  5. Just came in the mail yesterday. I’ve been looking for an NTSC SNES sample cart for Zombies Ate My Neighbors for years! I came close to one in 2019 but couldn’t make a deal. This one popped up on eBay from a seller in Spain! It’s probably why they crossed out the “Ate My Neighbors” (it’s known as Zombies in PAL releases)! Now I just need the variant box to complete my ZAMN collection!
  6. Something that I’ve noticed lately is that I only get the 5% eBay bucks offers after I make an expensive purchase. What’s dumb is that it’s only good for 2-3 days. I thought that after the last one but I confirmed it today. I haven’t purchased anything on eBay in months until yesterday. Wouldn’t you know it, today I get the 5% offer. Funny how that works, lol.
  7. My 3 best in no particular order: Nothing truly rare, but more expensive stuff I got a SCAT and Contra Force in a lot of 5 consoles and 50ish games for $250 total from a Facebook sales group post. From a garage sale at the house I grew up in, my wife had to go (since I had a work meeting. I sent her there so I count it, lol) I got Earthbound in a lot with 4 or 5 consoles and a bunch of games for various consoles (70ish I think) for $100 total. Lastly, not “rare” but I got a free original Pac Man cab when I went to pick up a nice condition Centipede arcade cab from a guy. He just threw it in! Edit: All from 2016-2019
  8. Idk, you got me, what’s it called? Those piercing, lifeless eyes will haunt me in my sleep. They remind me of the skeksis from The Dark Crystal.
  9. I took a shot every time you said auction. I may have alcohol poisoning now.
  10. I disagree. That’s, why they call them first, second, and third degree burns. Lesser degree, but it still hurts. When you add in inflation, time spent, and losing out on other investment opportunities (that’s what this is at this point), you can make a “profit” and still get burned. You can “profit” on paper and still take an L.
  11. Don’t forget about the “gubment’s” cut. Would the profits fall under long term capital gains? So let’s say you take off another 20% for that. Sells for $1.56 million, you might net $1.0 million. Still pretty sweet, but for lesser grades and factoring in WATA Grading fees, some people are gonna get burned hard if there’s even a small drop in the market.
