  1. I thought this was a joke post from the ridiculous "collection" sale....
  2. So Seth, it is OK for carts to have gone up in price (which you acknowledge), but apparently CIB was not allowed to also go up? CIB in nice shape has been severely undervalued for years, just as sealed was. Can you also clarify where he says he wanted CIB boxed games? CIB is still undervalued as a whole, for the record, in nice shape. Also not to mention that TMG is the priciest game convention to vend at, as I did state. Portland is up there as well. You are dealing with mostly larger vendors who do price their games above ebay.
  3. Not to mention that a booth at tmg is 750. Thats just booth cost, not hotel, employees etc. You will be well over ebay fees on stuff, people buy there for convenience etc. If you go to a big show expecting ebay, let alone below ebay, you will walk away disappointed.
  4. That game was already looked at to be crossed before being listed. There is a reason it was not crossed- it was not a 9.8 (the 95). It is not a 9.8. Wata grades N64 games a lot different than VGA.
  5. I cant find mine at the moment, in a box somewhere lol. Reminded me of this, sort of neat. What is it? Who knows. Zack has a sealed one. Probably some weird pirate?
  6. I will have to dig around, I have one of these as well and I do believe the back sticker is PAL.
  7. That 95 is a 9.4. They didn't cross it. It's maybe a 9.6, but it had zero shot at 9.8. N64 factory flaw, it was looked at for crossing
  8. Karl, I think your video was well made, but as a sealed collector, I do think it would have gained some sort of benefit from a sealed collector's perspective. Personally, I feel this part is lacking. Is there speculation that goes on in sealed? Yes, of course. But what collectibles market does not have speculation and investing. This is one of the wonderful parts of free trade. I don't think the ENTIRE market is speculation. In sports cards, NFT's, crypto, even the stock market, these markets are speculative by nature. Yes, it is interesting to see video games in this category so rapidly, but I think people being stuck at home for over 12 months due to covid just simply turned the world upside down. This has more of an effect than most would expect, and we saw similar price increases in sports cards and other collectibles. I do think old school sealed collectors would agree that some of the prices that certain games have reached are too much, too quick, but I can say with certainty that the 2 million dollar Mario sale was a legitimate sale with a buyer. Same for the Zelda. I can not comment on the Mario 64 sale. That is the one that I personally agree was eye raising. As crazy as it sounds, the 9.8 HT Mario makes sense price wise. HT Mario has always been a grail, some may even argue the 9.8 HT is of similar value to the sticker seal. Time will tell. I hope you do a follow up video with a group of sealed collectors, your video is very well made and I think it could have been ever better with some sort of sealed collectors thoughts and opinions. Hopefully we do see pop reports come out of this. I don't think the prices will drop as some think, but it would be nice to have this information.
  9. My accountant (who is extremely well regarded) told me the profits would be 28 percent as well. yes, self employed. No, not some high bracket. Told me no way around it whatsoever.
  10. Are you certain? I asked my accountant a similar question and he said it adds the profit then checks the bracket for capital gains.
  11. 156 included the buyer premium, by the way. Just correcting the above statement
