Thankfully the WiiU pretty much doesn't exist anymore, good riddance.   I think pretty much now anything special that came out on there and under performed and under sold entirely due to that failed before it retailed disaster have come out now on Switch and in a couple cases 3DS so it could be properly enjoyed -- Mario Kart 8 included.

Speaking of MK8 content, in all of this time, I never bothered with any of the battle systems.  My kids got me to play some of the battles with them so I just now learned about the Piranha Plant battles.  That is a lot of fun.  Highly recommended for anyone like me to never bothered to try it.

Not really, I guess if you like patiently waiting for that fun menu to move along.   Then again, actually you can, don't do what Nintendo wants with it, hack the hell out of it as it makes a wicked pirate portable.

The later games might have it beat, but I still love Mario Kart 64 for my favorite. Just for the memories and still fun to play today that makes the N64 still relevant despite its issues.

My brother @MashFan81 and I used to rock out some Mario Kart Double Dash. A bit sad they never went back to that as some sort of mode on newer Mario Kart games. Glad to see the tracks return later though!
