    • 10/10 - One of your very favorite artists of all time.
    • 9/10 - Killer fucking band. Or artist.
    • 8/10 - Great sound, great songs, great albums.
    • 7/10 - Very good, but not quite great.
    • 6/10 - Pretty good. More than a few songs you like. You'd entertain the thought of seeing them live if they were in the area. Or still alive.
    • 5/10 - They're okay, but maybe not something you'll go out of your way to listen to.
    • 4/10 - Meh. There may be a song or two, or an album that you dig, but you'd rather listen to other stuff.

    • 3/10 - Not very good. You will more likely than not turn the station if they come on the radio.

    • 2/10 - Not your cup of tea at all. Some people might like this, but you are not one of them.

    • 1/10 - Horrible in every way.

    • 0/10 - In the running for worst artist/musician of all time. You would rather take a cheese grater to your face than listen to this.

Even though The Cure was my pick, I'm by no means their biggest fan and they can be hit or miss with me.  I'm not completely familiar with a lot of their later work (after say, 2000 and beyond), but I treasure most of their earlier stuff.

I did recently see a recent concert of theirs, and Robert Smith is still rocking the lipstick and wild hair except now he is 60 years old and fat.  So that's kind of weird.  I happy that he is still happy and making music though.

@captmorgandrinker Shit, Mixed Up was the first "album" of their I heard and it's still my favorite.  I guess you could call it a greatest hits remix album, and from my experience it's the one album that every Cure fan and non-fan seems to enjoy.  There is a 3CD deluxe edition that came out a year or so ago, worth checking out 🙂

In my knee jerk to vote I got them mixed up with The Cult 😛

Both enjoyable bands, but these guys are the lesser of the two 😉

The thing about the Cult is every song sounds the same. I'd rather listen to AC/DC or Motorhead for that kind of thing.

I'm going to go with an 9 overall, the albums from the post-punk era are my favorites (Seventeen Seconds, Faith & Pornography), but basically that band is long gone, I enjoyed most of what followed, especially Disintegration, Wish and Bloodflowers, after that I gradually lost interest. Saw them in 2004 and it was great, they played songs from all eras, not sure if they'd still do that but they would typically play for 3+ hours with multiple thematic encores which was pretty epic.

I'll list some songs from the post-punk era:

Blood flowers is one of their best albums.

I enjoy Faith from their goth era, but I guess I enjoy their alt-rock stuff a bit more.  Disintegration, Wish, and Blood Flowers are fantastic albums.

i also saw them live around them and they did a killer 20+ song live set from all eras.  Even stuff I was crazy about Like Cockatoos was totally different and awesome.

I'm gonna go with either Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, AC/DC, or Bonnie Tyler

I really like Motley Crue and AC/DC. I dislike Bon Jovi. I'm indifferent to Bonnie Tyler but she has a nice voice like a female Rod Stewart.
