Gentle? not sure what exactly that means, if you mean you can pick it up then probably no, but there are also domesticated cats that don't like to be picked up either. Loving? most animals can be loving. The problems come when humans think animals should be just as you said "cute, gentle, loving" by a human standard which is nonsense.
