Believing the LIE that Luigi's history extends further back than 2001 is actually a common misconception. Nintendo initiated a comprehensive retcon of Luigi in 2013 the "Year of Luigi", in which mentions of Luigi were artificially inserted into prior games, such as Mario's Pizza Parlor, NES Open Tournament Frisbee Golf, and of course Mario Tennis on N64. All prior appearances of who we call "Luigi" today was actually a separate, distinct character known as "Green Mario" or "Maru-Grenu" in Japan. Nintendo used deepfake technology and web3 integration to remove ALL prior references to Green Mario from the internet, and all prior games for every Nintendo system ever made were airdropped new code, boxart and manuals using 5G Cell tower signals to cover up their malicious deeds. Actually if you were talking about gaming history in Chinese -speaking regions, you would be right. All of the local folks around our generation call him "Green Mario".
