USA is 16th, which is not bad, but we can do better!

avatar! | 1,827
What makes Finland the happiest country in the world for the fourth consecutive year? (now fifth) https://www.helsinkitimes.fi/lifestyle/19066-what-makes-finland-the-happiest-country-in-the-world-for-the-fourth-consecutive-year.html One other major reason why Finland is such a happy place to live is the free, relaxed way of life. Compared to a lot of the Western world, Finland is more laid-back and more at peace with itself. Finnish culture is also very warm and focuses on co-operation, rather than competition. It is also clear that Finnish people feel secure and do not worry about the outside world in the same way as the people in many other nations. Kguillemette | 1,547
Finland has given me Nightwish, Sonata Arctica, and Amorphis. For that I am very thankful. I am glad they are so happy.
avatar! | 1,827
I looked up contributions Finland has made to the world, and no joke, the #1 thing is the "Dish draining closet" https://www.finnstyle.com/inventions.html To be fair, they did apparently give the world saunas, and I'm thankful for that

A well deserved top place for happiness
