  1. I'm going to watch it again. I know the type of movies your talking about, Clint Eastwood's J. Edgar comes to mind. I really do think there were some solid points in this one. And personally I thought Pesci's performance was the best of the movie. Romano was good and fun, Kietel looked the part and said his two or three lines well, but I think Pesci had the performance of his career.
  2. It wasn't deep because it was boring it was deep because it was deep. One example being the nuanced image they gave of Jimmy Hoffa. If you put this movie next to the Jack Nicholson portrayal in Hoffa, you get a completly different perpective of the guy. He is more human, his goals aren't completly altruistic, but he should still be respected for what he did for the working man. The set up where they are going to kill Hoffa was a roller coaster. First, Frank has to break his word by not going to meet Hoffa. Then, he has to not call Hoffa to warn him. Then he has to actually go kill him. And the whole time I was expecting his son to get murdered too. I had to google whether or not his son disappeared. At the end of the day, Scorsee probably made up a bunch of the dramatic stuff, but whether or not it is all real you get a picture of how somwone can make those decisions. It's different then a movie like say Goodfellas, because that movie tells the story like, their gangster lifestyle was wrong because they couldn't control it and they got arrested. This movie shows that it is wrong through the lens of his family and the scene with the priest where he can't even make up the feelings that a normal person should feel.
  3. I think it was slow to make it feel closer to real life. Things roll out slowly and not every moment is exciting, but the one thing that is continuous is that these are bad people and that affects the normal people that cross theybinteract with.
  4. It's probably easier to ask what isn't good on Adult Swim.
  5. Seller: Diamente Loco Buyer: Californication Summary: Mega SG Feedback: Diamante Loco was easybto work with; he worked with me on thebprice, packaged everything nicely, and even got it out pretty fast. My Mega SG had the hiccups, and his used console was a great addition to the collection: I am getting a lot of use out it. Thank you.
  6. Everytime i see Bill Burr, I think he is a rich asshole for being against raising the taxes on people making millions of dollars.
  7. I used to get annoyed at Slippy on Starfox 64, but I am over it. I am a hero for protecting the slow kid. Edit: You know who is a real bitch, the boss on Darkwing Duck NES, fuck that guy.
  8. There was a guy down the road who had a console that I swear had a fighting game that I had used to play on the arcades. It had guys with swords and armor and then some green guy with a freddie krueger glove. Despite my description the game was awesome and the port looked perfect. I thought the console was an atari jaguar, but all I really remember was the controller being odd. Its weird because I really think it was an Atari Jaguar, but at the same time I feel like we played a Neo Geo game. Edit: Ya, we were definetly playing Samurai Showdown. He must of had both consoles. That game was such a perfect copy of the arcade.
  9. You should buy both of them and let me get Musha. Stylistically Elemental is quarky and cool, but a little easy so far. Vapor Trail has a killer sound track. I could use slightly cleaner carts, but it's not worth the trouble right now of selling the box and manuals.
  10. PS1 Team Buddies Sonic Wings Special Zanac x Zanac Sega - loose in very good condition preferred Sagaia Alien Soldier Gley Lancer SNES Secret of Mana Hagane PS4 Battle Garegga
  11. Excuse the angle, our place is a bit messy woth baby stuff.
  12. I got it at Cost Plus last year, we get a lot of compliments on it, it really ties the room together, man. I'll take a better photo after work so you can get a better look.
  13. I don't think Wata should comment on the rarity or the price. Their job is to give an opinion on condition, that is it. A more ethical person would have either given their opinion on the condition and what the grading system means. Rarity and value have nothing to do with condition. The only way to do it right would have explained what Wata's grading system meant, and then if he wants to talk about rarity he should have explained how long he has been collecting or something and made a seperate opinion independent of his role at Wata. I think the second most telling thing is when he says he knows of offers of $300,000. If he wasn't associated with it, why would he know what offers were made?
  14. I am thinking about starting. I figure between Turbo and Saturn, the Saturn hardware is more reliable and cheaper, and because I am already collecting import PS1 games my required Saturn list would be much smaller. I'd love to hear game suggestions I am only looking at: Radiant Silvergun, Batsugun, Image Fight and X multiply, Strikers 1945, Gunbird, Darius Twin, and Sonic Wings Special So far.
  15. Right? This might be the first time I passed on one that I want to own. I've gotta own the arcade version at somepoint, i just didn't feel like spending $60 on the base version for something I won't get to play for a while. I am going to wait and buy it when I am ready to play it.
  16. Working on Ghouls N' Ghosts on the Sega this weekend. I've been in the practice mode and if the regular mode is similar this will be the easiest game in the series for me. I'm on the last level on the first way through.
  17. The Cosmic Collection is still up on Strictly Limited Games if anyone is interested.
  18. What I am trying to say is that when I watched Genesis videos, they look underwhelming. And when I play them it seems like I have a better ratio of games that are worth keeping then when I buy for other consoles. I have only boughten a few games so far, here is my little collection.
  19. The worst line for me was, "it's a piece of history, it would be hard for me to part with it, but I would do it for a million dollars." Why is it hard for you to part with something you bought as an investment? Your goal is to sell it
  20. The Genesis is really the gift that keeps on giving. There are games that look okay on Youtube, some might look good, but how many are as good as they look in the videos. (SkyBlazer bleh, Uncharted bleh) I really gotta say I think the Genesis has more games that play better than my expectations than any other console. I got Streets of Rage 2 and Ghouls N' Ghosts from GameStop last week. They are both as good as people say. To get back to Streets of Rage 2, can anyone suggest any other Beat 'Em Ups that are complex like Streets of Rage 2? I'm not a big fan of Beat 'Em Ups in general. I own maybe five. Most beat 'em ups feel repetitive, but this game doesn't do that for me. You gotta be on your toes. Theres a counter to being thrown, the rear attack for people behind you, debating whether its worth losing life to do a power move. The game really has a lot of different ways to approach getting through the level. I've thought about getting King of Dragons, Final Fight, and maybe Ninja Warriors, do any of these offer conplex mechanics?
  21. I have been avoiding the cave shooters for a while because they looked too intense from watching videos, but last weekens I picked up DoDonpachi with store credit. I had no idea how different the game plays just because of a smaller hit box. It is a completly different experience than my Genesis or SNES shooters. The game has so many features I am still learning, but I want the whole series now.
