  1. I don’t have many yet. One reason why I wanted to document them, but the few I have I’m happy to share once we get a solid list together. I’d also like to get a list of Wii games with a slip cover. Only a few 3DS games came with them, and I believe I have those documented already.
  2. I updated the OP with what I know of US releases so far. Do you know if most/all/any of the US versions that had a slip cover also had one in EU?
  3. Yea, that seems to be the belief. I doubt there are any pallets anywhere, but who knows. I can always hope lol
  4. I like the My Retro Life series of old home videos. Just some additional nostalgia fuel for me lol
  5. Dang...well maybe someone will find a couple pallets full of them lol
  6. My concern is how old it is. I know Borderlands Pre-Sequel was missing, but it’s definitely what I was using as a starting point. Edit: Added the following to the list... Amazing Spider-man Evil Within Mass Effect Trilogy Transformers: Fall of Cybertron Working on more but feel free to post any that may be missing. Especially standard releases. Edit 2: added several more titles that were missing
  7. Yea, I currently have 183 with most big boxes and the expensive rare titles. Just need to get Barbie and I don’t see it up complete ever either. Obviously it isn’t going to be cheap, but as more people go for a full set I’m afraid prices may go even higher and at some point I’m not sure I’m going to be willing to pay the going rate. Hope I’m wrong and a case is found, or we find out it was prevalent in Mexico or South America somewhere.
  8. SMT games are on fire after SMT 5 trailer on Switch. I’m definitely glad I picked up these late 3DS releases. I may go for a full set if I can locate the Barbie game at a fair price.
  9. My concern is how old it is. I know Borderlands Pre-Sequel was missing, but it’s definitely what I was using as a starting point.
  10. Thanks for sharing. Will work on adding a list to the OP. Not sure how much interest Euro releases will gather, but I don’t mind adding a separate list. If I understand correctly, I believe there are more slip covers in Europe.
  11. Yea, this is on of lists I found, but I don’t believe it is definitive. If anyone else is interested I can add it to the OP and update it with any others missing. Not sure if anyone else cares though.

  13. For me it’s not an issue and for most it’s probably not going to be an issue, but it is something I though was worth mentioning. If moisture happens to get in at all, a dehumidifier may not be enough to remove it in those types of protectors so I can definitely still see it as an issue for a small percentage of collectors, especially if they happen to live in wet climates, or have particularly wet seasons. Again, for the overwhelming majority it will be a non issue, but it’s something worth mentioning in this type of thread, if for no other reason to bring light to the issue and ensure people are utilizing dehumidifiers and considering whether it will be an issue for their individual storage situation. Edit: To be clear, it’s not just the moisture itself but the concern a small amount in an enclosed space will facilitate mold, mildew, etc... Not an issue for the majority, but something to consider and for those that may want to see the episode discussing it, they can find it below:
  14. I use them and I also go with videogamebocprotector. One thing I heard just recently when watching a video of The Last Gamer was that some museum consultants that Joel had evaluate his collection mentioned they wouldn’t recommend these types of box protectors because they could facilitate mold by trapping moisture. Probably not a problem for the majority of collectors storage, but if you happen to store your games in a basement that happens to see moisture at all it’s something that may concern you. Now I’ve used them for years and haven’t had any issues myself, but something I found interesting when I heard it and it does seem like a realistic issue for some people.
  15. This is the same my Insurance company told me when I bought my home. Not sure I feel comfortable about it but I have asked since and got the same answer from a different agent.
  16. In regards to the price charts, the same can be said for bootleg carts at times as those are sometimes also captured by the trackers and definitely affect the price of legit games. Even complete copies experience this with fake boxes and manuals becoming more and more prevalent.
  17. Yea, I definitely enjoy Survival Horror games. They have also been a genre that frequently has highly sought after games in the collector market. I have a few nice gems like Rule of Rose.
  18. I’m not really a full set collector but I’ve been debating about setting a long term goal of going for the N64 set CIB and also the 3DS. I own over 130 N64 with a lot of the mid to high end titles. On 3DS I own over 180 games again with most of the mid to high end titles already bought. Its not something I will do in a short period of time but I think may be one of my long term goals as I continue to add titles from each system. At some point I figure I may as well go for the full set and I think I’m getting to that point for those 2 systems.
  19. I have to agree it is a lot of work to list and sell large collections. I have to wonder how many people would turn down a straight cash offer that would allow them to sell with no work involved? I’m not looking to sell but admittedly if someone had cash in front of me for the entire collection, I’m not sure what I would do. I would definitely start collecting again, no doubt. Havinf that much cash from selling though would allow me to enter the high end market and get items that are mostly out of my reach otherwise. It’s easier to buy twenty+ games valued at $200+ each over the span of a few months than it is to buy single $5000 games for the majority of collectors.
  20. It’s easier to do it at a discount. In other words for an initial investment of $100 I could build a collection worth thousands without ever investing more than that initial $100. It’s basically what I did in the early stages of my collecting and still do some of now to offset the cost.
  21. RE: comparison to stocks...in some ways it easier to amass a collection on the cheap than it is to amass stocks under market value. Further buying lots and reselling allows people to build collections for a fraction of the value they bring in the market. I know for certain I have only spent a fraction of what my games are supposedly worth. In the end, there are arguments on both sides. Some people are going to view them as straight collectibles regardless of the value and others are going to see them more as a commodity, while others probably see it somewhere in between.
  22. Wonder how/if this will affect prices? Fox News Business has an article about Super Mario Bros selling on heritage auction. https://www.foxbusiness.com/money/vintage-super-mario-bros-video-game-sells-for-114000
  23. I considered selling parts of my collection since I basically collect for everything. It would allow me to have a much more narrower focus instead of the wide focus I currently have that includes all Nintendo systems and most Sony systems.
  24. FYI, You probably already know but just to chip in the Collection Tracker is up and working and the prices updated. Took a huge jump up, lol.
  25. Any update on when the Collection Tracker is expected to be back online? Still not loading on my end so I assume it’s still down. I definitely prefer GVN so I appreciate all the hard work that goes into it.
