I love it. My commute was an hour plus each way, and I can't think of a worse way to spend over 2 hours of my day. Plus everyone I work with directly is in a different state. I hope to never go back.

This wasn't directed at me but I can answer anyway as I talked to him last weekend. He kind of checked out before the end of NA as he got tired of the drama (advice maybe I should consider). He's doing really well though, focusing on his health, dropping a bunch of weight. He seems more like the happy dude he was when I first got to know him.

That's what I specifically meant when I said on the forum. I never questioned your presence keeping the forum software running. I will absolutely give credit where credit is due for that aspect.

Not all of the staff caried over, but all of the staff here at VGS now were staff at the end of NA. Which makes more sense, everyone changed their personality with a new site? Or we weren't the ban happy censoring monsters some like to make us out to be? I'm not saying things were perfect, but we did our best with zero support from the site owner.

Because you would show up once a year or so knowing nothing of the work we had done, the conversations we had, and throw your weight around completely undermining us. If you bothered to talk to us and learn the entire situation it wouldn't be an issue. That's why everyone would threaten to quit.

We tried to buy it from Jeff. He actually initiated the conversation, a few emails were exchanged. There was a call scheduled that he no-showed and was never heard from again.

Dain included literally everything to do with NA in the sale. Gifts that were given to him, personal hand written letters to him written by members expressing how much NA meant and got them through some tough times. Used soiled shirts. Everything! Even Jeff thought it was strange and made arrangements to get a lot of the personal stuff back to the community.

Try Bestine, I've had good luck removing all sorts of stickers with that stuff. Use a q-tip and get the corner of the sticker saturated so that it will peel up. Then rub the qtip along the bottom of the sticker as you pull it up. The stuff evaporates fast.

I wouldn't even necessarily consider myself a wata defender, I'm just not up in arms about a video outlining a bunch of stuff we have discussed on this very forum for years now. It's nothing new. To some that evidently means I'm team wata and have a vested interest dispite never having owned a single game they have graded. That's just never been my thing. There are plenty of things they do I think they shouldn't. The price changing based on the value (which I believe is for insurance reasons, but the video did a poor job just glossing over those specifics). Even so, what sense does it make to penalize your customer if the value went up while it was in wata's possession? They evidently weren't worried about liability the months it was waiting to be graded, and they will send it back if you don't want to pay extra. So what is it really for? They should absolutely be more clear about who is on their board and what they actually do. At best it looks terrible and ruins trust, the at worst has been covered here plenty already. From everything I hear their communication sucks! I like Deniz personally, and choose to believe what he has told me I'm the past. If I'm honest about it I probably would have a different take if I didn't know him, I'd have no reason to give him the benefit of the doubt. So I get the concerns that have been raised.

No, I personally don't think he should do it. At least nothing beyond stating facts about prior sales, shouldn't engage in speculation. The Pawn Stars stuff, we all know that show is fake and my guess is they likely wouldn't let him on without giving a value as that's what the show is all about. Being on the show was good marketing.

That's not the way I remember it happening, but that video was pretty clever. I will let you in on a secret though. I actually agree with you about the particular old staff member, I didn't like the way he conducted himself either. However we were told by the boss in no uncertain terms that we had to keep him around because he wanted a "bad guy".

Isn't that for the extra cost of insurance liability? Not that they are actually charging more for the grading service? It stands to reason they have to protect themselves from their building burning down or whatever, especially with how long they are holding the games.

It was asked earlier specifically if anyone here would still defend Deniz. Well the video was a nicely done summary, but there is nothing in it that anyone following this thread didn't already know. -Deniz is a shameless self promoter. -Heritage guy is dirty. -The Carolina Collection was a terrible idea. -WATA should release population reports. I knew all that stuff already. The hobby isn't ruined for me. I don't have any WATA games and don't intend to. Or maybe he's got me fooled and I've just been mind manulipated as part of the master plan.
