Last Tuesday, a scheduling snafu gave me the day off from work. While in the eBay app, I saw a new listing for a saved search. The search was for a ps2 game. Once I tapped that beloved blue dot and saw the price was $20 more than I wanted, I casually flicked down to see similar items. My heart dropped because this N64 controller lot was the first one. For the price, I immediately bought it. I anticipated it being a scam, or I was only going to get the two standard controllers. I need them anyway, so I went back to my day. The seller messaged me about half an hour later saying he had some offers to cancel the sale, but he was going to honor it. I was thrilled. The controller was legit! Through our correspondence, he had multiple offers between $750 and $1500. For a controller in this condition (bad with a rattle!) those prices seem insane! But the take away is... I am over the moon about the seller sending the Millennium controller, but I’m equally sour on the eBay community. I was never going to pay the going rate for this controller, if I ever found one at the going rate. Why can’t we let someone get a “win” every once in awhile? Why does it have to be “If I can’t get the deal, then no one can?” What a roller coaster of emotion. Should I open this thing up and clean it? I definitely don’t want to sell, fwiw. And thank you so much, Dean!

Are you thinking about selling?

I had a box of n64 doubles, and I *thought* it was a good idea to sell in early April. While I got some good money for the Mario’s, Zelda’s, etc, the market has gotten silly. With that said, I’ve put too much time, joy, and pride into buying my stuff. I will always keep a base collection ‘till I die. Some of the bulk might go to a job loss. But you’ll have to take some of my sealed N64 games, plush, and PS2 games out of my cold, dead hands. -

Bump. Put some extras on eBay. Most of my extra Yoshi's have already sold. More will go live July 12th, fwiw, if anyone out there is watching this thread. -

If you have one of these and would sell for a bounty, please like this comment. Then I will post my budget (bounty) for these. -

People were not aware of the grey Rage Wars as late as 2014 to 2015. I bought my beat up copy for $5.35 at a high priced retro store. I was as gleeful as can be. Shamefully, I am hoping to catch a -01 No Mercy in a lot someday. -
I've got some games where previous owner's used a cheap machine, and there are swirl marks. Some play, others do not. Would they be salvageable? XBOX, Wii, and Gamecube, fwiw.

@jonebone @RH I remember right after my parents forced me to sell nearly all of my childhood games, I saw a great Sculptor’s Cut for $75. This would have been around 2010. And Jone is correct about the manual. While many N64 cib still have a price much lower than their rarity, that manual is the only one I can’t find for under $1,000 ten years later. -

ISS 2000 has the two box variations. I think the English box may get up there compared to the Spanish version. -
And the lucky buyer is....

Don't you hate that you have to see the listing on FB or on an app in under 5 minutes or it's gone? Even 4 minutes is probably too long. 3 and under is ideal. -

I added some wants back after some purchases fell through. I noticed my 6' Super Mario is missing a button, so I may add that in as well. If anyone is also looking to buy, I have some doubles of the keychains now. -

Which Yoshi do you have? I would definitely be interested in Banjo.
