  1. I still think it can work if you polish it up and work out all the bugs. For example in Zelda on the overhead view if you walk right then the player walks right, but in first person mode you would be pressing up to walk forward in any direction. So the D-pad input controls would have to be constantly be remapped so that up is the forward facing direction always. That's not that hard to do its just a special remapping of inputs that is dependent upon your character's facing direction.
  2. Oh, I just had this brilliant idea. Can you lock the camera onto the player so that when the player moves then the camera moves. For example place the camera on Links face so that Zelda is in first person mode. The camera would be moving along with the character as if the whole game was in first person. This one thing, could change the game completely, it would give a totally different playing experience. I'm telling you right now that it would be a mind blowing experience and all you have to do is fix the camera onto the player and let the camera move as the character moves.
  3. This emulator as almost like if the NES and N64 had a baby together.
  4. SEN is just NES backwards to avoid any kind of copyright or whatever. I'm pretty confident.
  5. Here is an awesome video someone did.
  6. I'm currently working on sticker stuff. I want to try and also get gold stickers, silver stickers, glow in the dark stickers. I'm in the process of getting it all figured out.
  7. You may know me from my NES Force Bot game that I am working on, but I also work on tons of other stuff too. Since the early 2000's I've been creating comic book characters and would like to make an actual comic book one day. I finally decided to show off one of the comics. This is just one of my creations I have many more characters and stories to share. Here is my Twitter: https://twitter.com/EricSch70919379 Here is my Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/ericschafer And here is a Q and A discussing the character and story. It's going to be a bad ass comic and story. Trust me. Q: Why is his name Adamas? A: Adamas is an ancient Greek word for Diamond. Q: What is Adamas? A: He is a god that lives in our solar system. Q: Where does he live? A: He lives deep inside of the planet Neptune. Q: What does he do? A: He protects the solar system from threats like space monsters, aliens and other gods. Q: There are other gods like Adamas? A: Yes, the Universe has many of them and they live inside planets and stars. Q: What are his powers? A: He has super strength, doesn't need to breathe air, extremely strong physical structure, the ability to fly, can generate electrical energy attacks and possibly more. Q: Can a knife cut him? A: No. Since he is made of diamond, no blade can harm him unless it is a diamond blade. Only a diamond can cut a diamond. Q: Does he have a weakness? A: Yes, extreme heat and fire. Q: Can he be crushed or broken? A: Yes, under extreme circumstances he can be broken, but he can heal himself by going back to his home planet. Q: How does he heal himself? A: On his home planet there are diamonds deep within the atmosphere which can rejuvenate his injuries. Q: Does he fight crime, would he stop a bank robber? A: These circumstances are of little importance to him. He only battles serious enemies which cannot be handled by humans. Q: Does he speak? A: Yes, but he is a man of little words. Q: How old is Adamas? A: He is billions of years old. Q: Why does he look human? A: It may be that he came to this solar system billions of years ago and implanted life on planet Earth, which is why humans look like him. Q: What other franchise would you compare this to? A: It's like a mash-up between Superman and Godzilla.
  8. Here is the dimensions in inches. It's pretty close to the 55mm by 97mm size, but from my experience the 97mm is a very stung fit. It just barely fits in the space. I think it is okay to have a 1 mm gap on the top and bottom of the sticker spot so that is what I'm going for. Here is the fake proof they sent me. I'll see how these fit and then see if I need to make any adjustments on the size.
  9. The intro screens felt more like "warning screens" of some type. LOL It's a neat game.
  10. The plan is to have several types of front label sticker options. There is the regular standard sticker. And then you can upgrade to a fancy holographic sticker similar to this.
  11. Got the sticker front label and back box artwork fairly worked out. There still might be some tweaks here and there because I think I have to adjust the dimensions of the box size a little.
  12. Got to get some test label stickers and test boxes. I even want to do some special holographic stickers (maybe). Then have to create some videos. I also am trying to create a cardboard robot costume that I want to dress up as. LOL It might turn out great or not I don't know. But everything has to be in place before you launch a KS. I'll keep everyone up to date and thanks so much for following.
  13. Here is an update with the sticker and box art. It's coming together. I've never really had a social media presence, but I did try to create something on obs to stream NES games on Twitch with. Let me know if there is an interest for this.

Quote "And then polish, polish, polish." After created several games myself I cannot stress how important polish is. It separates amateur game designers from professional ones.
  15. Couldn't they sell the rom digitally. This way anyone can get it and play it.
  16. I'm happy to see that now developers have more options when making games for the SNES. However, as someone has already said, Joe and his team are already busy with NESmaker and Mystic Searches. These two projects could still take years to finish. Also when you are making a game engine like NESmaker, you could be potentially working on it for the next 5-10 years doing updates and improving stuff. So I don't think Joe should be working on SNES maker right now. Finish Mystic Searches and improve NESmaker first then dive into SNES maker. As for the Retro Game Builder (SNES development program), this was stated on his Twitter today. "Retro Game Builder will let you program games visually using something called “logic flows”. Logic flows contain nodes that you can configure and link together interactively." You can also have access to the assembly code to. At this point, it's too early to say anything. I hope it turns out great, but you never know. But usually even if you don't like a game engine, someone, somewhere will make something cool with it. I'm one of those people who know a little bit of assembly, but not enough to build a game from scratch, so a program like this appears to be more user friendly and lowers the entry bar so that I can make something with it.
  17. HAHA, exactly what I thought. It's a "guys club". Thanks for clearing it up.
  18. I created a Twitter account for the game. Follow me on Twitter for all the latest news and such regarding the game. https://twitter.com/ForceBot3 Currently I'm working on the rest of the artwork for the box and sticker label. I would like to do a kickstarter for the game possibly this year and am working out all the details for the release. I'm wanting to create a website as well, but I've never had/ran a website before so if anyone has any experience in that and wants to help then it would be much appreciated. If you want to be on the mailing list just send me a PM with your e-mail and I will send out a mass e-mail on major updates. Thanks.
  19. Are you Vu Huyen Phuong and are you a female coder? If so then that is amazing. Usually when I think of coders making NES emulators I think of guys as if its a guys club. Very impressive skills to pull off an emulator like this.
  20. I'm assuming you made it with NESmaker? Looks neat I'll give the demo a spin.
  21. All I ask is: - That you make the Level Editor similar to how Lunar Magic works (user friendly) - Make the tools that you are building the game with easy to use so that other people can make SNES homebrew games too - Title the game: Super Nova: Nova the Squirrel 2
  22. I played a version I downloaded a while back. One thing that I wanted to see is a mechanic where if you go off to the right of the screen that your character then appears on the left off the screen (wrap around) like in the Mario Bros arcade game where you kick the crabs and flies that come out of the pipes. This seems like a really fun two player experience. If you added an option for 4 player support I'm sure that you would get the type of response that Micro Mages got.

When I do a game project, I like my game to be unique so that it is set apart from other games and "stock" resources. Some might see these tutorial assets as "lazy" game development others just don't care. But if it really bugs you, then why not e-mail the developers and tell them to change it before the release. If they really care about their project and kickstarter then they will change it.
  24. I don't know if this got a whole lot of attention, but I saw it on Reddit so I'm posting it here too. Website: http://pagam.es/ Youtube:
  25. I just want to take a moment and say that this is really really good! When you actually look at the 50 total colors that you can have on the NES, its hard to turn those colors into something neat and interesting to look at. Excellent work!
