  1. So I take it from the fact that Playstation 5 isn't even in the pulldown menu when manually adding games that this site is going to ignore the system the same way it's been ignoring the PS4 for the last year?
  2. Even if the item in the listing doesn't match the photo? So you're gonna refuse to sell me anything because 19 years ago somebody listed a lot of NES games and was only selling a couple of the ones in the photos, not all of them and I refused to get ripped off?
  3. Nothing pisses me off more than an ebay seller who begs me for feedback before the item has even been delivered. Now you won't be getting my feedback at all, and I'm tempted to leave a negative because I didn't even get the item. You want feedback, okay how about DIDN'T GET THE ITEM BUT THE SELLER WANTED FEEDBACK SO HERE IT IS - F------- NEVER GOT ITEM. The funny thing about ebay feedback is I have 583 positive feedback and a single negative feedback from 2001 (I refused to pay when I realized an item was listed wrong compared to the photo and I didn't want to take any chances). I don't know how someone can even find that single negative because it doesn't even show up in my profile, but on rare occasions up through maybe a year ago I've had auction bids cancelled because of that, with a message that they don't do business with buyers with negative feedback.
  4. Last I checked there were nearly 100 PS4 and Vita games that I custom created that are still listed as user created and aren't otherwise in the database. Is this site EVER going to start adding new games for these systems?
  5. Wow. I sent them 40 tickets with the form for a free game back in January. They refuse to process it. LRG support is terrible, all I kept getting from them is "we'll get back to you soon on this" ..... it's now been over 7 months and I can't get a straight answer from them!
  6. Wow, never knew there was a circle seal version of Wrestlemania, but I see some on ebay. Will have to upgrade. Crappy game, but has some great music. What's the story with Super Mario Bros 2? There's a circle seal version of the box, but I've never seen a circle seal cartridge label. There's one with no seal at all, and an oval seal.
  7. I just really hope they get back to putting new games into the database (aside from the Switch which is the only system that ever gets updated there anymore). I have over 50 custom entries I've made for new games over the last year or so and none of them have been processed.
  8. I just need Star Force, Stadium Events and Sqoon to complete my 5 screw set. The S's are the toughest ones. Note that I don't consider RC Pro Am as part of a 5 screw set because all of the evidence I've seen points to the sole known copy being a refurbishment.
  9. Oh so that explains why they're all listed as A+ on his list. He was out to make a profit!
  10. I don't consider any of the unlicensed games part of the NES set. To me, they're in the same category as the crap Limited Run Games has been selling for NES lately. Some people consider Sunday Funday: The Ride, and not Wario's Woods, to be the last official NES released. But Wario's Woods had an ESRB rating and Sunday didn't, despite coming out a year later,. which to me means that the publisher didn't even go through the proper channels to release it. So why is Sunday considered part of the 768 and a homebrew game sold a couple years later isn't?
  11. I stand corrected, Karate Kid has a mini review on page 148. I mix that and Karate Champ up all the time so it didn't even click with me when I saw it. I imagine that and Side Pocket may have printed at a newly opened factory that was the first supplied with 3 screw shells. If you really want to open a can of worms, Stadium Events is also in this book and has a mini review page just like all the other games. I haven't followed the trackers closely, but I believe that game had both 3 and 5 screw variants. Strangely they call Athletic World as just Family Fun Fitness in the book.
  12. So today I was browsing through The Official Nintendo Player's Guide and realized that every game featured in there was a 5 screw original release (including some of the rarer late releases). The only 5 screw variants I know of that wasn't mentioned in there, except for the coming soon page, was Star Force and Wizards & Warriers (yes that's how the book spells it). It also mentions Return of Donkey Kong as coming soon. The only* exception is Side Pocket, I could have sworn my own copy of that game was 5 screw, but I actually had the oval seal variant! I did some looking around and found the round seal variant but could not find a 5 screw image of that game anywhere. Was the original release one of the first 3 screw games, or is there a rare 5 screw variant? * the other exception is Zelda 2, which didn't come out until over a year after the book was published. Rather than an image of the box, there's a crudely drawn pencil art of it, but it matched pretty closely. Interestingly, all of the maps are based off the Japanese version of the game, but the screenshots come from the American one. It also uses some weird names for bosses like Mazura for Horsehead.
  13. Gotta be my sealed Chrono Trigger SNES. The best part is I got it in a trade when I was unloading a bunch of my dupes, so didn't actually pay a dime for it.
  14. So how are new Switch games still getting processed on that site? Everything else gets ignored, but all 6 of the Switch games I got for Christmas (the newest being Link's Awakening) were found in their listings!
  15. I've tradionally played Castlevania 3 on New Year's Day every year (it's my favorite NES game ever). This year I decided to play through the whole trilogy. Castlevania 1 is completed, no deaths and triple holy water held through the last stage. Castlevania 2 is up next. 3 will probably have to wait for the afternoon.
  16. I have a whole stack of PS4, Vita and Switch games I picked up over the black Friday sales to add to GVN, since I haven't found a proper replacement for it yet. What a surprise, ALL of the Switch games I bought, even the recently released ones, are in their database, and yet no PS4 or Vita game released in 2019 is in there, and none of the games I manually added in the last 6 months have been converted from user-added-items. What is going on here? Do they have some exclusive Switch deal now? I'm worried the site altogether is just going to disappear overnight the way that NA did. Is there a similar site, which is still being supported, which I can switch (pardon the pun) to?
  17. I'm still figuring out a good site to replace GameValueNow for tracking my collection, since it's obvious they have no intentions of adding new games to that site (unless it's a Switch game....)
  18. Here's me (center), my wife, and some video game nerd I ran into at a convention......
