  1. "THE Game Ltd" is one of many distributors for UK/NOE games from 91-96 IRC. In the fine print of the boxes you will see who distributed the game or hardware. the NOE box you show is Distributed though ACCLAIM Entertainment's network. Specially items like this PGB FAT box was one of the "THE Game Ltd"s specially areas. I have not looked very hard at GB Boxes to know what they did distributed.
  2. not to side track the post. i have not been able to find any B&T outside of the US and according to your photos they have a NOE box... Can you provide a pic of the back? or verify it is a "The Game LTD" box...
  3. @sp1nzNot to debate this "PAL" topic here, but your point is very valid. Most Collectors like / love normalcy and to "rock the boat" is taboo. IMHO no one said that Pricecharting.com is/was/are smart. they are the mother of all cliff followers.
  4. From the topic: My Game Boy PAL List; by @PrimeNL TMI: what is PAL: PAL stand for Phase Alternate Line. ok so this means what really. This is the video format standard used in many European countries. A PAL picture is made up of 625 interlaced lines and is displayed at a rate of 25 frames per second used to broadcast and display video. So what dose this have to do with Game Boy Games? not at all, not a bit, not the slightest bit, in no way, to no extent, by no means any, not for a moment. IMO: If you want to get real then use the proper terms. NTSC/PAL/SECAM when describeing 8 bit Game Boy Games. IMO: you just prove how lazy you are on your data / Information. or you are just another lemming that is following others over the cliff.
  5. B&T was never produced outside of the US. the fact that you have a Deutsch manual would suggest that it was a UKV import under the "The Game Ltd" Distribution.
  6. Working Theory Tetris V1 for Gameboy from: @Ulrizzapost: My Game Boy Tetris Minuet Collection As for the music, a working theory is that Nintendo did not have the rights to the original sound track and had to produce something different for original production. However they had to change the song in order comply with the copyright and the agreement with Alexey Pajitnov (as the Korobeiniki was his favorite song.) The song was original to Spectrum HoloByte and was used in the original production of Tetris for the (Amiga, Apple II, Apple IIGS, DOS, MacOS, Atari ST). in late 1989 Nintendo's in house composer Hirokazu "Hip" Tanaka remixed the Korobeiniki to what is now. the CHIP Tune of Tetris A.
  7. Do you know a lot about a game? Do you have more information about something that other collectors would find interesting or unusual? This is what it's all about here. Share fun facts about your game, collection, or items.
  8. From what did you deduce this list? for the time from that the V1 was printed and assembled. date codes will be from 8901-8922 and pcb will be from 8901-8906 during that time the code would have been 23 20 05 07 09 28 the boards would be DMG-AAA-01, and very very very rare DMG-BEAN-02 most likely with an I or B on back side and no year above the month code. my bad on the 11,12 that is late 94 irc.. nope the label were only produced in JAPAN oops except Brazil and China. The numbers are the id's of print shops that did the printing. under Nintendo's strict control. when you record the dates of the ROM chip and the PCB date you will understand more. the time from for the "v1" was about 4 months. and at the rate that NINTENDO produced that would 40000 if not higher. now that is not to say they shipped that many. Time for TMI: As for the music, a working theory is that Nintendo did not have the rights to the original sound track and had to produce something different for original production. However they had to change the song in order comply with the copyright and the agreement with Alexey Pajitnov (as the Korobeiniki was his favorite song.) 9. for what i can see is that the following numbers could be 00 05 07 09 11 12 20 22 23 34 for this tetris. happy hunting...
  10. @dk what are the numbers on the back of the label side it will be like F-00
  11. @DKthank you for the data, your kart data is a follows dmg-104-chn and DMG-104-CHN-FCO I DON'T know what image gose were but i guessing the non fco is on the left. for recording i use the following info format DMG-104-CHN | 99 | GR | DMG-BEAN-M13 | 6 | EPOX | F-- | B33 | 9806 | CH DMG-104-CHN-FCO | 99 | GR | DMG-BEAN-M13 | 4 | EPOX | F-- | B35 | 9806 | CH
  12. Here is the first family photo. have to update. only a few more for a full set.
  13. @0xDEAFC0DE, data being pcb, ic data/date code and the embossed numbers. for the "NO DASH Tetris"
  14. @Ulrizzanot per say on the data i have started the variant rom tracking for the NOA carts but not for world games yet. if you look in the sig block you can find the topic. should you want to share you info on the carts then please send to me. there is a website that tracks all data but i have yet to contribute it hard to do with i have to redo 3000 carts.
  15. @Ulrizzaplease publish your cart's pcb data. that would be help @RHproduction info. i guessing it will have a DMG-AAA-01 date code 8922-8929 with a pcb date of 8907-8909 that is my guess.
  16. to add to what @RH, the date codes are what drives the final for the variant. i have 3 with date code of: DMG-AAA-03 - 4 - 9038 DMG-AAA-03 - 1 - 9039 DMG-AAA-03 - 4 - 9043 23A code. This may support @RHstatement. so the dates are very close. the part that is make this a variant is that the fall in between the 2 line change over. My data is showing the codes was just between 9038 - 9049 so the last part of 1990. now i don't have the data from the others but i sure the data will show in that time frame. this would make it the 2A print run. and was only for 11 weeks. if anyone has a "no dash Tetris" please provide data. in support of @RHthere is a possablity that the assembly was done with the same roll of sticker.
  17. lol lol that's fair just don't pick you noise before you cross the street or spit on the ground!
  18. true. this why its so important for us to document all we can correctly before on one cares...
  19. @guitarzombieClinton then President Clinton signed the DMCA making it illegal to share copies of a game unless the person receiving the copy owned a real copy.
  20. IRC that is illegal unless you own the cart. thank to Miss Billy Clinton oops I mean Miss i cant win Clinton, oops i mean Clinton.
  21. Another one down. Black Bass Lure Fishing... Review: Time: 2 month long or about 80 hours. GET THE INSTRUCTION BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!! ------------------- This one is like fishing with a bare hook (down right frustrating). For the first few days i had to learn how to use the "basic Lures", then I had to learn where the fish were, move the boat which cost game time. Once you get that down then I had to learn how the what each icon mean. I lost about 30 hooks and about 40 fish over the game time. All this was in the first 60 hours. So for the last 20 hours I ignored all the above. To beat. You have to move through each of the 3 groups simple right. WRONG!!! You start out as #100 group 3 in order to move to the next group you must be above #50 by end of game day. If you don't you ground hog day ( I.E. restart the new day at #100 group 3.) Once you have caught enough in one day you move to group 2 you get 2 more lures and a new lake noting good but useful (if you know what your doing.) At the end of day you have to be above #25 you ground hog day ( I.E. restart the new day at #50 group 2.) Once you have caught enough in one day you move to group 1 you get 1 more lure noting good but useful (if you know what your doing.) At the end of day if you are not #1 you ground hog day ( I.E. restart the new day at #25 group 2.) You have no clue what the leader board looks like. You have no clue how many fish anyone has or the wight each player has. Just what you have. Game play start at 6am and runs until 5pm. Each fish missed or caught is time spent each cast is about 30 min game time, each move of the boat is about 1 hour of game time. As you can see you Ground hog a lot if lucky. The password it did nothing but Ground hog you(unless you have moved to the next level.) so it was not useful. bottom line: playability = 1-10 (10 being crazy easy) I give it a : 4 graphics = 1- 10 (10 being mind blowing) I give it a: 5 saves usefulness = 1- 10 (10 being cheating ) I give it a: 1 end game finish = 1- 10 (10 being worth watching ) I give it a: 1 (if you hit the "A" button it is over. i was just able to get this screen shot.. so over all score is 11 out of 40 = play but only if you are on a deserted island and this is the only thing you have....
