  1. But what is "do whatever you want" if there isn't much to do? Is swimming, climbing, skydiving considered doing things? What about hunting and gathering? Ofcourse it's all subjective but to me this kind of freedom falls flat if it isn't incorporated in something else. What if the shrines had enemies, varied and unique sometimes, traps like lava/holes in the ground with insta-death, jumping platforms and obstacles - would that have deterred or added from the games notion as it exists today? What if that shrine where i created an ice block at the snowy mountain and waited for daylight sunshine to climb up on it and cast Link's shadow on the portal, what if the mountain itself opened up and there was some kind of world inside there? Instead of a treasure chest that gave me whatever weapon it was that i already had, now with increased durability or whatever the fuck it was. When you go to that fountain fairy to increase your clothes, that feels like an interaction of substance. Except the shit she enhances i barely even need anymore at this point so yeah i don't know. I don't think intertwining the exploration with more substance would lessen the game it would elevate it.
  2. I'd say around a 3 or so. Kinda shitty overall, some song might be catchy in some dose. Slave 4 U is one of her better ones.
  3. Except those games feel fun when doing that. Breath of the Wild... i wouldn't say it's flat out boring but it's not extendedly fun either. It's kinda like what GTA 3 to SA would be without the missions but with the drugpacks and horseshoes strewn around.
  4. Yes i know. But i already lifted up the shrines as a main funpoint of the exploring and you seemed to say that it's fun even without it. Maybe i missinterpreted it. The main game it's very short 4 races and the divine beast mission can be played pretty soon once you arrive. So it's still 95% exploration.
  5. I don't understand this. What is the exploration founded upon if not the collectibles and shrines? Sure you can *just* enjoy the nature but that seems rather empty to me.
  6. So you mean there's enjoyment even with neither missions nor collecting? You would find it fun anyway?
  7. Egghunt is the collectibles: korok seeds, shrines, photo album etc.
  8. I mean to me it's the shrines that keep the fun afloat - and even that is to a certain extent. Yes there is some type of feeling walking down the beach or around some ruins in and of itself but it isn't the type of feeling that will carry my gaming interest over time.
  9. So i'm gaming this title and i can't quite figure out how much i like it or why. Or what i like about it. The landscapes are great and all but battling the grunts doesn't really give me much. Hunting & gathering has been kinda fun but there's not much need for all the extra money or dishes so i have to force some kind of purpose for doing it. There's not much battling going on ever really, most of the gameplay is rather puzzle based and on top of that it's optional. When you find a treasure chest or something you rarely need it anyway. Perhaps the game should've had a bigger sense of purpose to the exploration. Maybe the races should've had you interact more than now or the shrines be based more on battling enemies and bosses, i don't know.
  10. Yeah it ought to be hard still to solve. There's the issue of resistance also even if it kills the virus effectively there might be some strain that survives and goes on. I heard this might be an issue with a lot of diseases that are containable today that tomorrow they might not be anymore. But i think it would be correct to offer China help if there is something that can be contributed. Political differences with taxing and all the other shit, those can be ongoing while people still come together to prevent deaths occurring. I don't think there's an absolute correlation between disputes and disagreement in everything.
  11. I don't mean help but just in general, whether they'd have some solution. I used to watch those forensic shows and this agency popped up multiple times it seems like they're a prestigeous institute.
  12. Isn't the American CDC very skilled and knowledgeable for these type of things? I wonder how effetive they would be here.
  13. Smash TV let's you use one controllers d-pad and the others A and B buttons to attack that's pretty cool.nhaven't tried it out though.
  14. Lol racist bullets. I don't really know about any gimmicks all i like seems pretty straightforward. I liked the executions and tagging enemies with grenades but i'm sure it's not so uncommon. Maybe in Magic Sword where you can swap between multiple allies and upgrade them along the way?
  15. Does Armored Warriors count? It's a game in the Capcom Beat em up bundle.
  16. I think there's something rewarding in it's own right reaching a new section, with new enemies and new design, and you wonder what it's gonna be. That i think is a strength this game has going for it wich you don't really get that often in traditional game design, usually only when a level is completed. The warps that may push you forward or backward only enhances upon this further: the sense of exploration and progress is so damn present. Even one of those "faux warps" that changes from deadly to legit if you just wait a few secs... it's not really challenging but it's an effective trick because it captures your attention. I don't think the mazes are superfluous but rather central to the experience. Using maps i feel negates a lot of that impact and what the game is about; you're supposed to feel those consequences of the choices you make and have a hard time reaching the end. But i understand the practical decision in wanting to progress and avoid getting lost.
  17. How do y'all feel about Section Z? Doesn't get much notice really but i have great fun with this game and it's kinda unique flying around with the warps and mazes. Would've been for Capcom to do more with the brand but it will never happen.
  18. I can't say that i'm touched on a direct level because i don't know the guy his career of anything else about him. It's more like one of those general "oh wow"-type of feelings because it's a celebrity you heard of so you sit there and ponder for a while, caught up in the moment of the news. Very unfortunate for sure.
  19. Yeah i guess there will be less ppl to engage with as the game gets a little older. Me i don't really know anyone who bought it so it has been a lonesome journey but i haven't minded. It probably matters the most when a game is multiplayer online.
  20. No i couldn't really be bothered creating a thread just around car pricing (not in this specific direction atleast). It was more of a sidenote type of thing.
  21. Unless it's something that might become rare and sought after that's the general rule, that the value plummets.
  22. The second-hand value plummets when someone wants to sell off a car even if he barely used it 1 fucking week + at car dealerships you're paying this guys locale and his salary so every fucking thing he sells he has bumped up the price and what you're actually paying for is all the shining cars standing there in the inventory all shiny and a guy who's "in the know" being friendly to you. What you're buying is an imagined sense of authority that the whole thing instills in you but in reality you ain't getting worth shit of substance.
  23. It's well known you shouldn't buy brand new cars irrespective of this thread's topic
