  1. Jim Carrey came out retirement for this?!

I never really got into pitfall...for Jungle adventures, I found the vine swinging in Jungle Hunt more satisfying and when it came to mapping routes and racing against the clock, I was much more partial to Private Eye.
  3. I usually get back a lot for child tax credits... but then what I owe on my magic income will chip away at that somewhat.
  4. I actually thought of Hugo's House of Horrors but wasn't confident enough to make a guess.
  5. Laser Blast for 2600... It's fun for 5 minutes... but to roll the score you have to marathon it for hours and hours... just mindless laser blasting... it's the "Desert Bus" of space shooters. sometimes you'll let yourself get shot down just to break up the monotony, which is not a big deal since you get bonus lives so easily.
  6. This was one my friends favorite games so it was hyped up for me a lot. I liked it, but it didn't really grab me enough to finish it.
  7. I never played it. I used to be interested when it was new but that ship has probably sailed to be honest. But I guess I shouldn’t say “never”.
  8. Zoo Keeper for the Pico-8... I linked to it in my previous post.
  9. only at a very basic level... I know animals coming out of a gap will run in the opposite direction from you, so you can use that to try and get the majority going in the same direction.
  10. "Is there any risk of brain damage?" "Technically speaking, the procedure IS brain damage..."
  11. Great music and visuals. The ninja gaiden wall jumping stuff is cool. I made it to the final bosses but never beat them.
  12. I'm glad Shadow of the Colossus has you following the direction the light glints off your sword, rather than a floating green arrow pointing where to go.
  13. its got a nice variety of objectives: trying to group the animals so you can jump over a bunch at once, rebuilding the walls, collecting the bonus items. My current goal is to break 100k. Right now I can get in the 80-90 range.
  14. New Hampshire is today... if she doesn't get at least better than 30% there's not much point in sticking it out... but she'll be gone after Super Tuesday at the latest.
  15. Highlights: Pinball: Theatre of Magic (unfortunately it was down a lot), Pinball Magic, Venom, Attack from Mars Indie arcade: Line Wobbler, Scraperboard (like a low-fi cross between Tony Hawk Ride and Parappa the Rapper), Haber dasher (tilted a giant hat to make a man walk around) Wacca: cool rhythm game with a 360 degree touch pad around a circular screen. Killer Queen: great fun with a group. Music: excellent shows by Lacey Johnson and Bit Brigade. Gripes: Tron Legacy pinball has really annoyingly positioned upper flipper that is frequently in the way of the shot you're trying to make with the lower left flipper. Discs of Tron: the spinner was so jittery the game was unplayable. bummer because I love that game and rarely get a chance to play it. Wish they would have Ice Cold Beer available for free play more. A bunch of the panels I did check out were kind of duds that I bailed on after about 5 or 10 minutes. Too crowded! They sold out at the start of the first day. There was usually at least 1 or 2 people in line fore every single game I wanted to play. Couldn't get into a couple of the panels that I was interested in, and had to wait in some ridiculous long lines to get into the concerts... Bit Brigade was jam packed and smelly. Saturday was the worst... every lot was closed except to pre-paid parkers.. I was lucky to find a spot at the hotel lot, but horrified that it cost $39. Only 1 session of JS Joust, early on Thursday! (So I missed it) The arcade museum was pretty weak... I honestly don't know what the point of it was when it didn't really have anything of interest that you couldn't find in the main arcade room.. and a generally bad selection / curation. Computer/ console museum had about 50% less stuff than usual. None of the old computers they usually had.. no Vectrex.... bit of a let down Dealer Hall: 90% of it was pins and keychains... not very interesting.
  16. I recently got to try a 2600 homebrew of Zoo Keeper. I'd never played it before and didn't know the rules, so I was kind of confused. I decided to look online to learn more about how it was supposed to play and I came across this really nice port for the Pico-8: https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?pid=112308#p I've since gotten quite hooked on it.
  17. Probably the best solution for both of them to be able to claim "victory". Billy's scores have been reinstated the same way archive.org reinstates defunct websites.
  18. he's had 6 songs in the billboard top 100
  19. I'm pretty sure that part is true. He breaks down the lyrics of the song in this video and talks about commonly hearing gunfire in south beach back then.
