  1. I didn't grow up with Ninja Turtles, but I think Raph is cool. He's like Gary Oak if he was on your side. ; )
  2. After playing Track & Field for DS, I bought cartridges of the NES games. The second one isn't very good, but the first one is a new favourite game for the system. I really like early NES score attack games, and Track & Field is a very good one. This is my highest score so far. Most of your score comes from hitting every target in skeet shooting, as you get a big bonus for that. Each loop you can get the bonus three times, so hitting every target in all three rounds is the most important thing for boosting your score. My total score was 449320. I failed at archery on loop 4.
  3. Stressful games are fun when you know going in that they're stressful. Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire's Battle Tower is very fun and exciting, and you know going in that it will be stressful in a good way. What stresses me out is when a game of normal difficulty suddenly gets hard and unfair for one segment. Sparkster on Super Nintendo was very fun until the boss of stage seven, which was a boxing robot match I've never been able to finish. I want to love SNES Sparkster, but ever since being a kid I've never finished it as I don't know how to fight that boss. There are no helpful Youtube videos either, as the only playthroughs online obviously use save states and don't show a strategy for the fight. For relaxing games, I enjoy playing games I'm very experienced at. Games that may seem tough on a first time for other people are games I play to unwind as I'm so familiar with them. Mega Man Dr. Wily's Revenge on Game Boy is something I play when I've had a rough trip or bad day, and my worries go away as I cruise through the game. After a day of not being in control of things, playing a game where I have full control of a situation helps me relax and feel better.
  4. It's on my list. I watched some of it on Youtube, and was happy with how straight faced it is. Too many games now are snarky with tongue in cheek dialogue, and it's hard to get invested. Lords of Shadow looks like it respects itself enough to let you enjoy it. My 360 Konami list is Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Silent Hill Homecoming Otomedius Excellent Rumble Roses XX Bomberman Act Zero Dance Masters (Kinect) Adrenalin Misfits (Kinect)

This is my Konami Wii set. I picked Wheelie Breakers for my Yu-Gi-Oh game as I don't need to know how to play the card game to enjoy it. I picked Hottest Party 2 for my Dance Dance Revolution game because it was the first to have Mii dancers, and it has the best outfits for them to wear. Many of the outfits in Hottest Party 2 are revealing, which surprises me that Nintendo allowed Miis to wear them. Hottest Party 2 also has the least music videos for visuals, which lets your Miis dance more than any other game in the series. I picked Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 for my PES game, as this is the only one that lets you use the I.R pointer to control your players. It's way better to play because of that, but it wasn't used in the other Wii games. I haven't played them all yet, but so far Pop 'n' Music is my favourite.
  6. It's funny as I always thought that too as an outsider to Microsoft, but while looking into Konami it turns out the 360 had multiple games that weren't on PS3. The 360 got Otomedius Excellent, Rumble Roses XX, Bomberman Act Zero, and Dance Masters, an exclusive Dance Dance Revolution spin-off for Kinect. There were two other Kinect exclusives that I can't find much information about. Many late era Konami games aren't well documented. With no more games being released, I think people don't care about the company anymore.
  7. I have bought my first ever Xbox system game. I need to buy the system next week. I have never bought a game system from Microsoft, but I want a 360 now that I am looking into Konami's later years. Otomedius is a spin-off of Gradius featuring beautiful women as pilots, and is a tribute to all earlier Konami space shooters. There are nods to Gradius, Twinbee, Salamander, Axelay, Parodius, and every space shooter Konami released. It is the second Otomedius game, with the original only being in Japan. It is considered by Konami to be a spiritual successor to Parodius. The artist for Otomedius is the same person who drew Keroro Gunsou, a popular manga from the 2000s. This all makes Otomedius sound really good, but it looks to be very easy and not that great compared to past shooters. I'm happy to discover it though, and wouldn't have known about it had I not investigated. I also haven't played it yet, so it might be more fun than it looks in videos. I think due to the target audience of beautiful anime women, the game was likely made easier. This is the last Gradius related game to be released, not counting the casino game. Otomedius is not compatible with Xbox One or Series X. There was also no European release.
  8. I suppose, but I wasn't trying to be super technical about it. You also contradicted yourself in one sentence. "That's not true at all. Except it's true sometimes."
  9. I'm really happy for Koji Kondo. He made a legendarily catchy tune that even parents of the 80s who hated games know and love. Some Mario themes also only have the first part be catchy, and then fall into a repeating part like Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario 3D Land. In the first game every part of the song is catchy and fun. It's nice to see how far video games have come in the public eye. Even formerly "evil" and "Satanic" Dungeons and Dragons now has a movie that released at Easter, one of the most Holy days of the year. XD
  10. If it's just based on my time playing it, I don't like Donkey Kong Country 2 very much. The music is great, but I don't like playing it compared to the first and third games. DK Country 2 isn't as fun with no heavyweight Kong, and the levels are always unpleasant to look at. That's what the game is going for with the story, but I still don't like it. There aren't any areas that are nice to give you a break and make you feel good like the crystal caves, sunset jungle, misty mines, or treetop village from the first game, or the coral reef, lumber mill, or cliffs from the third game. I never want to keep playing as all the level graphics make me uncomfortable. This is also petty, but DK Country 2 is too hard compared to the other ones. I've never finished the game because the difficulty and level graphics make me not want to keep playing. I got as far as the thorn levels, and never went farther. Diddy is also my least favourite Kong on the SNES. He's okay for speed in the first one, but Donkey is almost always better as he can fight better. In the first game Diddy always dies by bouncing off armadillos. Dixie in DK Country 2 is better than Diddy for jump distance, making Diddy bad at what he was good at the first time. The only thing he's better at sometimes is throwing barrels depending on the level and enemies, but Kiddy in DK Country 3 can do that as well as fight strong enemies. I rated it a three because I don't think it's very good. Again, I'm sorry if my English is not perfect. I won't mention it every time, but I thought I should since this is a long post. It's more noticeable the longer I type.
  11. Was this the April Fools post? I guess I don't get it. XD I picked the only one that fit for me. I don't know what a Sachen game is.
  12. I'm new, so I'll do a brief introduction. My name is Samantha Garland, and I'm a 33 years old black woman. I always dye my hair blond as it's fun to do. I've been playing games since I was little with an NES, though I haven't played since the 3DS and Wii U were made as games became too expensive. I now play older games that are cheaper. : ) I'm catching up on Konami games, because I lost interest in them during the N64 days. I've been playing New International Track & Field for DS, and it's great! On top of being fun, it has a lot of personality. There are unlockable people from other Konami games, such as Pyramid Head, Sparkster, Evil Rose, (Rumble Roses) Frogger, Solid Snake, Simon Belmont, and some others. Some of them have mini-games based on their games too, and have awesome versions of classic songs. One problem is that I bought a DSi to play FotoShowdown, but the bigger screen makes Track & Field harder to play. You have to rapidly swipe the pen back and forth to build power, but it was balanced for the DS Lite. Having to swipe farther on a DSi than you were supposed to makes some of the mini-games too hard. Also the game can't be beaten 100% anymore, as there are trophies you could only win with online play. For people who like to finish everything, you'll have to deal with not being able to beat some stuff. This site looks like fun, which is why I joined. My English isn't the best, so if some things sound strange, that's why. ^_^
