  1. There are many games I want to beat, but I will only list a small amount of harder ones. NES: Gyruss Metal Gear Rush N Attack Life Force Jackal Track & Field II Top Gun The Goonies II Roller Games Tiny Toon Adventures Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II Wii: Ultimate Party Challenge Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party 2 Let the games begin!
  2. I think the movie you're thinking of is The Iron Giant. : P I'm still working on my list. I will post it at some point.
  3. I have kept playing Adventures of Bayou Billy, and I'm getting better and finding strategies. I can safely fight red jump kickers without taking damage, I learned to jump in the water and punch alligators to safely fight them, and I discovered a trick on the stage 3 boss to be safe while standing still and repeatedly punch him. I looked on Youtube and the speed run doesn't know about this trick. The trick I discovered is a safer and faster fight than the current world record. XD It sure makes it easier too. I am also very good at the first driving stage now. I learned from watching the speed run that you are more safe by driving at top speed the whole time. I beat the whole stage without crashing once! The second driving stage is the hardest stage, and I'm still not good at it.
  4. Virtual Console made me play the Genesis for the first time when I was 19, and now think it's better than Super Nintendo. I grew up with Super Nintendo and loved it, but the Genesis has the type of games I like better. One hour long games that are very difficult with game overs and no saving. Without virtual console I wouldn't have played many games I love on Genesis. GeN-Nes forever! XD
  5. Silent Hill 3 and Shattered Memories are my favourites. Silent Hill 1 is amazing, but I don't like playing it as much because I get too scared! XD The first one is very good at what it does, better than the rest of the series. Every perfectly awful noise puts me on edge. Has anyone here played through the whole game of Silent Hill 2 HD with the new voices? Maybe I should try to find a full game video of that. I never bothered to look it up before, but it might be interesting to watch. Also look out! Here they come!
  6. I'm not done yet! I had a day off today, so I took my bus pass and went to the far away game store that I didn't check last time. I did very well as you'll see! Gyruss was $60 Canadian, ($44 US) Base Wars was $40 Canadian ($29 US), and Metal Gear was a special bargain price due to it's condition, and I couldn't pass up the chance! Since I am only collecting for myself and not to sell later, I am okay with having damaged copies of games if the price is good. What I care about the most is crushing and creasing, and there was none of that on this box. If I can save money and still have it look nice on a shelf, I'm okay with games that have damage. Solid Snake doesn't need to have his top on if you ask me! It also had the map, which will be helpful as I have never played this game. The map, game and manual alone should cost more than $40.00, ($29 US) so it was a bargain even if it hadn't come with the box! Looks good to me! Also why is Gyruss not thought of as an all time NES classic? IT'S SO GOOD! It's one of my childhood favourites, and how I learned about Ultra games "secretly" being Konami.
  7. I know this is a joke thread, but I had Little Mermaid as a kid. ^_^ I only still like the game because I grew up playing it, but if I were to answer the joke thead seriously, I wish Little Mermaid had extra loops that got harder. It's a short game that would have been good for it. Let's transform the thread into the official Little Mermaid disscusion thread.
  8. Sorry to ask one more question, but I'm just wondering if there is a charm for Konami NES silver box games?
  9. I think part of my problem when I play Mario 3 is that the world map is designed to let you pick your own way through the worlds, but even though I always say the game is too long and too easy, I always want to play every stage for full completion. I should try playing the game again soon and not playing every stage. It would probably be much shorter, though still easy. Maybe players don't need to save if they just pick the shortest paths. I'll try that next time.
  10. Aside from Paper Mario Thousand Year Door fans who get angry when people like the first one instead. ^_^
  11. I've started collecting complete copies of Konami NES games. I'm only collecting the NES Konami games from 1987 to 1990, because those were my favourite years. I traveled to the three game stores on the transit line, and got good deals on nice copies of games. I got Jackal for $100 Canadian ($74.00 US), Blades of Steel for $50.00 Canadian ($37.00 US) Double Dribble for $35.00 Canadian ($26.00 US) and Bayou Billy for $50.00 Canadian (37.00 US) I have also ordered the first Castlevania on eBay, which I got an incredible deal on. The box is in very good shape, but the front cover only is very sun faded. All the other sides are normal though, so on a shelf it won't matter. It also makes something impossibly expensive into something I can buy, so I'm very happy. I got it for $146 Canadian, which includes shipping. ($108.00 US) It will not arrive for a long time, but I will post pictures when it arrives.
  12. The later levels are harder, but still easy. Super Mario 3 is a very good game for simple fun. I've played the game all the way through enough times to know it is too easy even in the later stages. Some of my favourite NES games are favourites like Castlevania III, Super C, Startropics, Batman, and Ninja Gaiden series, so Mario 3 is not hard in comparison.
  13. No need to promise, but I look forward to seeing it whenever it happens.
  14. I voted a 6. It's a good game that I play once every few years, but I like the first and second games better and play them many times every year. It may not be the popular point of view, but why should that be a problem? ^_^ Mario 3 is a programming masterpiece, and a wonder to come out on an NES. It's a very good an important game, but if it's just for personal preference, it's not one of my favourite Mario games. It's too long and too easy, so I often get bored halfway through and turn it off. It's not a bad game, but I don't find it very exciting or interesting to play unless many years have gone by. Please don't be mad though. As our parents all said at one point, "It's just a game!" ^_^
  15. Oh, that's okay then. I likely wouldn't be able to earn them anyway. Thanks for letting me know. ^_^
  16. In the baubles and charms section of the forum, I clicked on the link to see a list of available charms, and the page says "Sorry, this page no longer exists!" Where can I find a list of charms to earn?
  17. I finished The Adventures of Bayou Billy for the first time! I didn't even use the training mode bonuses that I just discovered, as I was only going to play a little bit before turning it off. Instead I missed my show and played the whole game to the end! ^_^ The game starts off difficult to understand and is not nice to new players, but it becomes amazing the more you play. It's not as hard as many people say, and I think it was a fun challenge. What I like the most about Bayou Billy is how the characters, levels and combat feel realistic for an old game. The world and characters of Bayou Billy come to life better than many NES games, and the people you fight along the way are very memorable. Many enemies you only see in one place, making them stand out. I was impressed by the dog tamer fight in stage 8 especially. I think it's one of Konami's most unique and high quality games on NES, though it's hard to get into. Don't play the Japanese "Mad City" just because it is easier. Bayou Billy is a better and more finished game. I loved it!
  18. I am looking to buy a complete copy of Rollergames for NES. Don't be shy with your less than perfect copies! Nice copies are very welcome too though, so please let me see any you have available! I live in British Columbia Canada, so keep in mind of Canadian shipping costs. I will happily accept sun faded copies too for a nice discount. I do not need every insert, just cartridge manual and box. (Styrofoam would be nice though!) I can pay with Paypal, but I might need some instruction on how to do so. I usually only pay with Paypal through eBay, so I might need help on how to pay directly to a certain person. Thank you for considering!
  19. I bought Adventures of Baiyou Billy a few days ago, and had a lot of trouble at first. Yesterday I was getting better at the combat, but got a game over in stage 3. I didn't want to try the whole game again, so I picked training mode to see what it was. I found out there are rewards for beating the training levels that can be taken into the main game! Combat training gives you a piece of meat that restores all life when it hits zero. Driving training gives you an extra life. Shooting training gives you a 100 bullet refill for the shooting stages if you run out of bullets. Today I made it to stage 8 before dying. What seemed like a bad game at first became very fun the more I improved. Baiyou Billy's more realistic combat makes the game different in a good way. ^_^
  20. Today I bought a copy of Super C, one of my favourite tough games from back on the NES. I beat the game three times to remember how to play, and then had the best run of my life only dying one time at the stage 6 boss. Somehow I survived all the moving parts during the stage, but panicked and died to the boss's snake helper. I didn't die any other time during the game, though I do play slower and more carefully than other players. ^_^
  21. I enjoy Bandai Namco's later games, so I wish Stadium Events wasn't expensive. I would rather have the Family Fitness version as a fan of the company. It makes more sense to buy the World Class Track Meet version though.
  22. As someone who watched the Wii U come out and fail without buying one, I remember seeing this during the Wii U's worst release drought in 2014 and laughing really hard. XD
