@Sumez - focusing on something to complement in a post can make you feel a lot better than focusing on something to refute.

Psh. OptOut started this and he knows it

Dragon Fighter is obscure? You're killing me

Definitely resist the urge to spoil yourself at this point! So that trip to the esper gate wasn't what you expected, but the game is gonna surprise you eventually.
Honestly, just stay completely off guides until that point (and ideally a while after). FF6 is pretty straight forward and whenever you need to go somewhere specific to progress the story, the game always tells you quite clearly what it is you need to do, so I don't really think relying on a guide should be necessary at all.
If you have any questions, better to ask here instead.

@Gloves arguing the "moral rights to pirate" is a completely different subject that's never gonna end well anyway

You're acting like this is the first time any game ever had Day 1 DLC and being scummy about it by using that to justify pirating.
It's not really DLC. Like you said, it's already included in the physical game, and doesn't actually require any additional purchase.
If the game did have day 1 DLC, I don't think the fact that other games also have that should excuse it. It's always scummy, and should be criticised every time it happens.

I don't want to be at level 99 and have no way to further level stats!
True, but at the same time.. If you get a party all to level 99 nothing in the game can touch you
-
I don't know if you noticed, but which Esper you have equipped also affects which stats improve more when that character levels up, så espers really help shape your party.
Personally I like this system much more than Materia because its tied to the characters! I always found the Materia system pretty silly because it ultimately didn't matter at all who I had in my party, I could just equip someone else with the exact same Materia.

What about the official Nintendo DS bluetooth keyboard (x 4).
It's not a part of the master set

I don't know if I'm alone in this but I knew IMMEDIATELY what was happening, who the villain was
I don't think the movie was trying to obscure that. The only thing that's really undetermined for the first few beats of the movie is whether the protagonist is an unreliable narrator.

Re-reading your list, looking for recommendations to add to my backlog, I realised that your description for Dead Alive sounded suspiciously like Braindead. Well, turns out they are the same movie! Where the hell did this title came from?

The Invisible Man is the best Rosemary's Baby-like that's not Rosemary's Baby. It really blew me away!
-
Oh wow, another 3/3
I find Mike Flannagan's work frustratingly uneven. When he's good, he's really good. When he's not... it has this weird juvenile, amateurish quality to it that I always find weird manages to get through the cracks. Like he could probably benefit from teaming up with a talented writer he can bounce ideas off and use as a filter.
I thought Haunting of Hill House and Midnight Mass were both fantastic, even though the latter especially is ridiculously camp. The best parts of both makes some of the awkward dialogue go down a lot easier.
But Doctor Sleep I couldn't get into at all. It just came across weird and embarrassing to me. I actually thought the fanservice bits of it were by far the best part.

The soundtrack to It Follows is basically the Fez soundtrack. That alone gives it points.

Man, Green Room has been on my to-watch list basically since it came out. It's one of those things that never show up on Netflix.
-
Isn't the "twist" in cabin in the woods revealed line ten minutes into it, or do I remember it wrong?
-
I'm absolutely 100% certain I watched Let the Right One In.
I remember absolutely nothing from it
-
Wow! My first (and probably only) 3/3
-
Mouth of Madness is already on my to-watch list
The other two are great movies (Army of Darkness might be a little overhyped, but I respect its place in movie history), though they didn't make the cut for my own definition of "horror movie", as I've never even made that connection in the past. Still, 2/3 is the best statistic I've pulled off so far.

Evil Dead II is high on my list. Still haven't seen The Lost Boys, but I'll let you know I have acquired a blu-ray of it. So I'll probably see it some time within the next ten yers.

Everyone loves it

Haha, I just thought you made it sound a lot more depraved than it really is. I guess I feel about this film like DefaultGen feels about Rosemary's Baby

It's probably the most fucked up thing in the history of horror. The fact it was part of a major studio release back in the 70s is just mindblowing. It's any wonder that people were fainting in the theater. I'm surprised William Friedkin wasn't assassinated by some crazy on the street.
Somehow it doesn't strike me as particularly screwed up at all, I mean it's super raunchy of course, but the 70s was all about that stuff! At least in Europe. Maybe you need a specifically American and/or catholic perspective for it to stand out? I've always been confused about what makes The Exorcist such a respected movie, and usually I've written it off as an example of cinematic genius that I'm probably too young to really get.
