  1. Fringe... another JJ Abrams production. So, it starts off interesting and thought-provoking, and ultimately ends up a big ol' pile of doo-doo. You have been warned
  2. It was too long, but overall I enjoyed it. Some excellent performances. Overall I would give it a 8/10 - although I am a pretty tough grade
  3. US thinks Russia will lean into nuclear threat as invasion drags on https://thehill.com/policy/international/russia/598825-us-thinks-russia-would-lean-into-nuclear-threat-as-invasion-drags In the report, Berrier said the order and other comments from Moscow touting its nuclear arsenal “are likely intended to intimidate.” He added the comments reflect Russia’s view that the threat of nuclear weapons could either compel an adversary to negotiate an end to the conflict on terms favorable to Moscow, or deter other parties from entering the war as progress elsewhere stalls. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has entered its 23rd day, and the U.S. fears that it will escalate its attacks on Ukraine despite the unexpected resistance it has received.
  4. Our revolving jail doors at work... Florida bus driver hailed as hero when gunman opens fire https://news.yahoo.com/florida-bus-driver-hailed-hero-143537366.html A bus driver is being called a hero for barreling into the parking lot of the Fort Lauderdale police headquarters after a gunman opened fire on the bus, killing two passengers. Jamal Meyers, 34, faces charges of murder, attempted murder, weapons possession by a convicted felon and violating probation...According to court records, Meyers was sentenced in 2021 for 10 crimes committed between 2017 and 2019. Each conviction carried concurrent three-year sentences, so he ended up serving just five months in state prison after being given credit for more than 800 days awaiting trial. He was released on Jan. 8.
  5. https://www.cnn.com/2022/03/19/politics/russian-cosmonauts-ukraine-international-space-station/index.html In other news, Putin has ordered flags at half-staff just in case three cosmonauts were to, completely hypothetically, "disappear off the Earth" for some unknown reason...
  6. I have the following for trade: Command & Conquer Remastered Collection Anniversary Edition -- LRG SOLD
  7. https://www.cnn.com/2022/03/14/asia/aircraft-carrier-kitty-hawk-scrapping-history-intl-hnk-ml/index.html USS Kitty Hawk - last US aircraft carrier fueled by oil. It served as a floating base during the Vietnam War, and was also the scene of "race riots" - basically a brawl between black and white servicemen for reasons that are not fully known but almost certainly due to inequality. Kitty Hawk is also famous for having a Soviet submarine collide with it! Kitty Hawk is now on its way to Texas where it will be cut-up for scrap. Total purchase price for the entire ship - a bit under one dollar... thank you for your service
  8. "If you, or someone you know, have doubts about the authenticity of any illegal narcotics you have on-hand or have obtained from another person, the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to provide this service, FREE of charge," the sheriff's office wrote on Facebook
  9. Looks spiffy - but I want to know if the game is actually fun?
  10. Hundreds of people from France to Saudi Arabia have inquired about this 'luxury' bomb shelter that costs up to $500,000 since Russia's invasion of Ukraine The company's founder Mathieu Séranne said he has received 500 bomb shelter inquiries over the past two weeks. According to screenshots viewed by Insider, the company has received 30 requests in the past 24 hours. Sure, why not! Might as well go out in style.
  11. But, kinda hard to justify spending that kind of money when for $20 you can get this -
  12. A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket boosted the company's latest batch of Starlink internet satellites to low-Earth orbit Wednesday, but not before launch engineers poked fun at Russia's recent comments on U.S. space vehicles. "Time to let the American broomstick fly and hear the sounds of freedom," SpaceX launch engineer Julia Black called out just before the 8:45 a.m. EST liftoff from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
  13. Thanks to POS worthless petty dictator, the Ruble in about one month fell by 178%.
  14. Crime against Asians rose by over 340% from 2020 to 2021 in NYC! Subway crime is up over 200%. Maybe you can't blame "bail reform" for all crimes, but numerous ones like what you linked are absolutely due to completely worthless lawmakers that should all be fired. https://nypost.com/2021/12/28/nycs-worst-2021-cases-stem-from-shaky-bail-reform-law/
  15. Myself, I almost never read fantasy, but George RR Martin is finally... oh, yeah, never mind.
  16. I bet FROM is still updating and tweaking things. In a few months they'll probably make it so that bosses have 45% more health and do 50% more damage because of "challenge"...
  17. Wow... okay that was weird, because I just posted this
  18. Updated! Also, looking to purchase one of the most atrocious games of all time Superman 64 If you have a loose or CIB copy let me know
  19. Okay... I know many of us want to know - just how much was this??
  20. I really hope he lives to continue to serve the people of Ukraine and be a symbol of democracy - quite honestly, I do not remember the last person who was a true symbol of democracy. Perhaps Ronald Reagan? Mind you, there are many things that RR did I do not approve of, but nevertheless he WAS a symbol of democracy during the Cold War, and Zelensky is now a symbol during Cold War II. Should he be killed murdered by the Russians, he will be a martyr and only inspire others. I believe he knows that, and I'm sure the piece of shite responsible for this, who shall not be named, knows this too.
  21. We are aiding the Ukrainians as best we can... keep in mind we (USA) did NOT "officially" get involved in WWII until after Pearl Harbor, but of course we were helping the allies with aid far before that. Pentagon: 'Vast majority' of $350M in lethal aid to Ukraine has been delivered https://thehill.com/policy/defense/596935-pentagon-vast-majority-of-350m-in-lethal-aid-to-ukraine-has-been-delivered The U.S. has contributed more than $1 billion to help Ukraine’s military over the past year and has pledged more as Russia’s violent attack on the country drags on.
  22. Yeah, at a certain point you learn to just stop lying to yourself and give in to the "well, it's only X so might as well" urge
