  1. @Reed Rothchild I’m looking through my own DS collection and I’m seeing some solid ones missing. these come to mind right off the bat digimon world ds digimon world dawn digimon world dusk geometry wars mega man 5 battle network tingles rosy rupeeland yugioh 2011 (if you like yugioh)
  2. I’ll be commenting more on this list as I read through it. Solid from what I skimmed. I was sad to see dragon quest monsters joker wasn’t on it but I did see it’s on your maybe buying list. Joker and Joker 2 may very well be my top 2 DS games. Highly recommend digimon world ds, dusk and dawn too. Didn’t see those on your list.
  3. “Real time strategy and puzzle game”. That’s the description I saw online. My description would be that but in the first one you crash land onto a foreign planet and have to recover your ships pieces that broke off upon entry so that you can get off the planet. You encounter creatures called pikmin who you control and they help you recover parts and beat enemies. It’s more of a task management style game especially since you only have 30 in game days to get your ship’s 30 pieces. You build things with your pikmin, battle enemies, gather resources that turn into more pikmin, solve puzzles, and explore quite a bit. Each of the 3 pikmin have different abilities too and you can bring a max of 100 pikmin with you at a time. It’s a solid game throughout.
  4. Only reason I didn’t give it a 10 is because that’s what I’d give Pikmin 2. I guess I love treasure hunting, 5 different kinds of pikmin, and multiplayer battles a bit more than searching for lost ship parts. All 3 pikmin games are excellent though. Haven’t played through Hey Pikmin yet on the 3DS.
  5. Wow thank you for the extensive list!! I’ll be checking all these out. Trajectile already looks solid and one I’ll very likely be picking up. Thank you for the insight into Crystal Monsters too. That’s kinda what I figured. The mons kinda look like what someone would do if they made a fake Pokémon game. Doesn’t look very polished. Looks like Flight Control is still on the eshop for $5. I almost added Zelda four swords to the list in the original post but saw you can’t download it for free anymore. This one looks solid too. Thanks for the tip!
  6. Has anyone played DSiware games? The DSi came out after the DS and the DS Lite, and I’ve never met anyone who played DSiware games, even after they added them to the 3DS eshop. You could download DSiware games to your DSi through the DSi shop back in the late 2000s. DSiware games seem to be mostly lost to time and rather unknown. I was curious if there are any DSiware gems out there that are worth downloading from the 3DS eshop while that’s still a thing. This is a list of all DSiware games for those interested. All DSiware games are on the 3DS eshop as far as I know. https://www.nintendolife.com/dsiware/games/browse?sort=popular What’s interesting is most (if not all of these games) are not listed on Nintendo’s eshop website. You wouldn’t know they exist for purchase unless you googled them or went to the eshop on your 3DS. I briefly browsed through all 18 pages of DSiware games on the 3DS eshop last night. These were the notable ones that stood out: BlayzBloo: Super Melee Brawlers Battle Royale (DSiware exclusive) - A fighting game that looks like a lesser super smash bros. No idea how good it is. Cave Story (on multiple systems) - Cave Story is an awesome platformer. The 3DS has Cave Story 3D, so I’d just get that one instead unless you want to save some money. They’re the same game but 3D has some updated graphics. Commando Steel Disaster (on physical DS and DSiware) - The most confusing one I saw. It looks like a Metal Slug copy. Run and gun kind of a game. What’s weird is a couple things. This game had a physical release on the DS. It’s also not listed on Nintendo’s eshop site (as far as I could tell). If you don’t want to pay $85-100 just for the DS cart, eshop is the way to go. Crystal Monsters (DSiware exclusive) - Looks like a Pokémon clone but I can’t tell if it’s actually good or not from the pics. Dragon Quest Wars (DSiware exclusive) - The only DSiware game I’ve ever played. Didn’t even know this game existed. Is it great? No. Is it worth checking out if you’re a dragon quest fan, sure. I don’t remember it being too challenging or memorable from playing it years ago but it did give me a couple hours of entertainment. Mario VS Donkey Kong: Minis March Again (DSiware exclusive) - mouthful of a title. If you like this series, here you go. Photo Dojo (DSiware exclusive) - looks like a unique fighting game. I’ve read it’s good. Shantae: Risky’s Revenge (on multiple systems) - It’s the sequel to the original Shantae. If you like Shantae, well here you go. WarioWare: Snapped! (DSiware exclusive) - if you’re a warioware fan, here you go. Zenonia (on multiple systems) - Solid RPG from everything I’ve read.
  7. Don’t forget to like, comment, subscribe and click that bell that I can never find
  8. By solid I mean great, not just good. Like Pokémon trozei was good but I wouldn’t call it great

    Free GOG Deals

All of them on the eshop are on big sales right now too for the next 3 days. 40-50% off
  10. I’m just glad I’m not a full set switch collector. The LRG games alone would make that a massive (expensive) headache.
  11. I’d be curious to see your lists of those some time.
  12. Yea that’s true. Idk how many full setters there really are though for any library. I can think of 50+ solid DS titles and maybe 20+ 3DS ones. But maybe there are more 3DS ones I’m not thinking of
  13. What’s weird is the 3DS’ library isn’t as good as the DS’ so you’d think people would be ditching 3DS games more than they’re ditching DS games, plus 3DS is a newer generation so in theory those games should be more plentiful but like you said there is no good 3DS selection anywhere in person. My local game stores are the same way. Little to no 3DS games and what they do have is shovelware. I’m glad I scooped up DQVII and DQVIII a couple years ago for like $20 and $30. Those were the last solid titles that store had.
  14. I’ve often wondered if part of it too is that collectors don’t view the limited release games as counting towards a full set
  15. Apparently no one cares. BIN for $45 https://www.ebay.com/itm/165468197593?epid=10045908292&hash=item2686ac52d9:g:uLEAAOSwPudicYqY
  16. Heads up, all Shantae games are 40-50% off on the eshop for 3 more days. I just got the original shantae for $5 to try out. Better than paying a grand for the original GBC cart lol.
  17. Probably stay the same or go up. I’d like to think it’d go down but nothing about the prices make sense so that makes me think they’ll continue to be bonkers.
  18. You’re not. There are a few 3DS games I’m missing that I may just have to accept I won’t get. The only way I’ve managed to find anything for a fair or cheap price over the past 2 years is from people at work who every now and then put their games up for sale but mostly it’s DS or wii or GameCube stuff. No one is really selling 3DS stuff at work. So the roundabout way is buying good deals, then trading that for stuff you actually want or selling it then buying what you want with the profit you make.
  19. Yea I meant the localized version. Not 100% sure it’s coming to the U.S. might be fakenews sorry. This is where I was reading it coming out. https://www.gamesradar.com/upcoming-nintendo-switch-games/
  20. For any yokai fans, it looks like the 4th one will be on the switch later this year or 2023
  21. Now the real question is, can a Mac emulate this nintenders?
  22. That’s how I feel every time I look back on stuff I sold for dirt cheap years ago like selling a loose solatorobo for like $30 and a complete one for like $50 or so. I never picked up rhythm thief simply because I don’t like rhythm games and I never had the opportunity to buy one for a reasonable price years ago.
  23. Only signed thing I have is a sealed shovel knight 3DS game signed by a bunch of the staff that worked on the game. I just emailed them saying I was a big fan and asked if I could ship it to them to sign and they were really cool about it.
