  1. I'm looking for a Japanese or North American Saturn Console but only if it is a model 1 (oval buttons). I was thinking 85 US as an upper limit but I am open to bundles with games and/or controllers. If you have a different price in mind PM me and we cab try to figure something out. I am in Ontario, Canada and we can work out shipping if you are willing. If anyone has one they are looking to get rid of let me know. Thanks
  2. Party Games are my Favourite, anything that I can enjoy locally with friends and family: Some Favs: Towerfall, Runbow, Nintendoland, Sportsball, Jackbox, Rockband, Mario Kart 8, Wii Sports Resort, New Super Mario Bros U, Super Mario 3D World, Affordable Space Adventures, Bomberman, Power Stone 2, Virtua Tennis, Chu Chu Rocket, Bust a Move 4, so many fun games....
  3. Super Mario Bros in 1989 I am pretty sure at at 7. I have beaten it likely a thousand times and still love playing it. Also cool is that my daughter's first completed game was New Super Mario Bros. U (with me at age 8), her first game beaten on her own was Donut Country, also at 8.
  4. Shovel Knight! I think it is the ultimate culmination of the gaming era of my childhood.

    Freebies

Free games, posted these on Atariage and some got claimed only Madden and random SNES golf game remains. If anyone is in Canada I pay shipping, in US we can split it. Also I have a ton of Random SNES parts. Do you have a broken part you need to replace? I found 6 SNES consoles in extreme disrepair in a box left out in the trash at a neighbour's house a couple years ago. I managed to hack together 3 working consoles from the parts. There is a ton of parts left over... only 1 motherboards. No complete set of parts. Motherboards don't work. The plastics are yellowed but there are working cart port flaps, nice buttons, etc. I feel 3 Frankenconsoles is enough for me... anyone want some random parts? I'm willing to look through what I have to find a part you might need. Also I'll post up to 30 Canadian for shipping to anywhere if you want to take the lot of this. If I can fit a part in an envelope I'd ship it to you for free. Keep in mind that you will not be able to just put it together and it works, this is just leftovers... plastic cases, shields, etc will not match and will definitely be missing parts. I also have some DS lite parts and a GDROM for a Dreamcast that kind of reads discs the last time I connected it. Anyone?
  6. For Truxton what's the thought on difficulty continues?
  7. A quick finish with a 4-1 series win over the Wings. Quebec Wins the Stanely Cup! NHL '94 beaten! Cheers Folks! That was a ton of fun. Going to look at the list and find some more to work on.
  8. Into the Stanley Cup Finals.... Montreal went up 2-1 in the series but 3 straight Quebec wins took care of them. Faced the Islanders in the Conference Finals and they went down without much of a fight. Game 2 went to double OT but other than that the sweep was uneventful and ended in game 4 with a 6-0 shutout. Will be Quebec vs. Detroit in the Cup Finals. I'll post a picture of the Cup celebration if I manage to win. Has been a lot of fun..
  9. Crazy and fun series... Came back from 2-0 to win 3-2 in Game 5. Won 3-0 in game 6. Game 7 was stressful back in Pittsburgh. Went down 2-0 early in the 1st period. Clawed my way back even with 30 seconds left in the third and scored the series winning goal in the first minute of overtime. I've been playing this game since 1994 and that might have been the most fun I've ever had playing single player. Will meet Montreal in a battle of Quebec in Round 2....
  10. Was fun watching all those years of Avs v. Wings. Also maybe it was drafting Lindros that ultimately got them Forsberg that pushed them to the top. --‐------ Here is the update. Accidentally played one game in regular mode and beat Pittsburgh 5-2.... Then started for real. Thoroughly outplayed the Penguins for the first 2 games in Pittsburgh but lost both by one (3-2 and 2-1) When the series shifted back to Quebec I came out sluggish and lost 6-1. All the Penguin's goals were from Mario or Jagr... down 3-0 in the series we had to dig deep to avoid elimination and dominated 7-3. So heading back to Pittsburgh I'm down 3-1 in the series. So there is hope but it will be tough. I chose Pittsburgh as my opponent since I find them to be the toughest. Better to lose in the first round and start again then or would be in the Conference Finals. Will keep you posted.
  11. OK. I'm in. I will play as the Quebec Nordiques and play through a full Stanley Cup Playoff (7 games series). In '94 there is no season mode so no need to simulate. Settings: 7 Game Series Manual Goalie Manual Line Changes 5 min periods Quebec Nordiques go for the Stanely Cup! I will play a game or two tonight and keep everyone updated as I progress through the playoffs. Go Nordiques!
  12. Really awesome to join a forum again. Back in the early 2000s I was really active on Segafans and then on cgcc around 2008.
  13. I have Nobunaga's Ambition (CIB) and Sesame Street Countdown (Cart only). PM me.
  14. Looking for loose Dreamcast microphone for Seaman. Willing to discuss the bundle which includes the game as well. Also looking for Sega brand fishing controller for Dreamcast.
  15. Blade Runner for me, though I do also really like the book. Mary Poppins stands out to me as well. No chance that LoTR fits. The novel is a masterpiece. I feel a lot if the underlying themes are lost in the film. Movie is a good modern action film with some if the books' ideas but book is an unmatched exploration of what it means to create a mythology. I can see why it isn't everyone's taste but it is unquestionably such an important book.
  16. I loved my Saturn. Had my favourites of each of the following genres of that generation: 3D Fighter (VF2) Racer (Sega Rally) Lightgun (VC2) and my favourite overall game of the generation: NiGHTS If I only played those 4 games that gen then I'd have been well entertained. Lots to love on all three but for my taste: Saturn > PS > N64
  17. If you have a sizable collection then document it extensively, and discuss with your insurance company. It is what insurance is for. If properly insured then you can take reasonable precautions and relax a bit about it. Good practice anyway as there are also other things that could damage your collection that will be covered as well. Hope you find a solution.
  18. Wow. I find the game pretty easy but still have never beat the final boss... So many tries... I always come through metal sonic with no rings and then just can't take out Eggman....
  19. I'll give NHL '94 a go this week. Would simply beating the Playoff Mode and winning the Stanley Cup with any team count as beating the game? There is no full season mode to beat.
