  1. Well their username is Code Monkey. Surely they are a non-zero amount of AI.
  2. it's produced by the pawn stars crew apparently. it looks like trash tv. but i guess thats what happens when you hire trash tv people to make tv show.
  3. I honestly couldn't tell you - i was going off of the close ups on the sides from their insta vid. i saw what looked like clips at the top where the frosted plastic is. nice game
  4. Heh based on the vid and pics there are pins in the inside of the holder, on the sides near the top still. Should be fun to play with lol
  5. Wata posted a glam vid of the new designs: https://www.instagram.com/p/CrbNObSsRhD/ Also on their blog: https://blog.watagames.com/2023/04/20/the-new-wata-holder/ Available for all orders made today and onward. Seems like any order before today will be put in the legacy holder. I asked if my in process orders could be moved into new cases but they said no. One thing I find interesting is they made the jewel cases perfectly shallow (makes sense, very thin). But sadly the dvd cases still have ~2x the dvd game depth if I'm seeing it right. I'll know for sure when my reholder test is back. Overall I like the design. Curious what y'all think.
  6. Alright. I have six games ready to reholder in the new case design. I'll write about it on my blog but i'll also share some photos after as well, with same size games side-by-side in the old holder. Any other sizes I should consider? I don't have any Sega or Atari sadly but I'd include those if I did.
  7. the label design does leave a lot of empty space. i think that's more a side effect of the new notation strategy which aims to add much fewer details, but more meaningful details. that said, if the new case is better in meaningful ways then i'll be happy. the label isn't overbearing like in cgc's case (who TF thought a giantblue label was a good idea)
  8. A house of cards in hindsight is still a house of cards lol
  9. I’m always ready for a good certified.
  10. Couple recent subs now that CIB grading isn’t super expensive. Gold and Silver still in post grading but will post when they’re back.
  11. you're probably more or less capped at A+ with the sticker. with creasing and other impressions on the box, you're probably looking at 8.0-8.5 territory.
  12. So uh, i never came back to share what happened with my modern subs to CGC. DS and 3DS games are very loose in the holder. both the blister is loose, and game inside the blister is loose. When I reached out to CGC to let them know so they could fix the dang thing for future customers (I wasn't even asking for a refund or reholder, because I knew the outcome would have been the same), they told me "the cases aren't meant to be shaken." no word on whether they're telling anyone about the issue. Just "don't shake the game." i mean, i'm not sure how else i was going to figure out the games are loose, but cool. anyway, if you have DS/3DS, don't send them to CGC. send to Wata or VGA. who knows if CGC will ever fix their holder. anywhere, here are the games i ended up grading with this issue, and will likely bust out in the near future and submit somewhere else lmao Metroid Samus Returns 9.9 A++ (pack-in) Metroid Samus Returns 9.8 A++ (pack-in) Mega Man Battle network Double Team DS 9.8 A++ Super mario 64 DS 9.6 A
  13. These two things couldn’t be further apart in the financial sector
  14. Well ”good” news is wata can’t grade it! Vga will just need to pick up the slack and give it a mistake 90+!
  15. Recently added the last handheld KH game I was missing forgot to include 3D but that one isn’t graded yet
  16. yes, i would very much like to pump my games. you're ruining the pump and it's not cool. how does that make you feel, that you're ruining the pump
  17. I should clarify, it's just CIB_Wholesale complaining. lol
  18. and just like that, we're back to complaining about wata's origins again. good chat.
