  1. I actually just received my two bat tops today for my Sanwa JLF sticks, ordered on Amazon. I really prefer the bat tops to ball tops.
  2. I want to believe. This thread reveled the real truth. The truth is out there.
  3. Sold it on February 12, 2013, for a wedding ring (she did say yes, but turns out she had a lot going on behind my back. Things fell apart). Weren't many people looking for it at the time. Last one went for $1200, but I tried selling my copy for quite some time before accepting this offer: On the plus side, it now belongs to what is recognized by the Guinness World Records as the 'Largest Collection of Legend of Zelda Memorabilia'. See 1:25 -
  4. SA and PA were archived as well on GC's forum. They just mashed everything together, but they are in the forum I think titled NintendoAge Archived Posts
  5. Has anyone worked with any web database software that uses PHP/MySQL, Commercial or Open Source? I have not, but I've been looking around for some. I could make a database, but my issue lies in not being a good enough programmer to make it not susceptible to SQLi attacks.
  6. HTTrack. Takes a bit of figuring out with filters (so it doesn't download the entire internet) and command-line configuration to disable security measures which limit the speed and amount of connections.
  7. I have also fully backed up the database. As in, literally downloaded the entire thing. Does http://web.archive.org/ have it? Yes, but is it complete with all images and working links? I'm not sure. So I made sure mine is. It is perfectly legal to download bits and pieces of websites, but illegal to host them / distribute them. Could they IP ban for using so much bandwidth? Possibly, but they apparently have left the old NA to rot, so I don't think that is likely. I intend to back-up The Brewery, Protoculture, and the Help Wanted forums as well. This is the enormous size of the database, with all pictures (including manuals):
  8. If you had your Login Data saved on NintendoAge, and haven't cleared your cookies since it went down, you can switch the URL located in the cookies to the http://74.86.217.179/ address.
  9. Ah Volunteers of America thrift store, had some awesome finds there before they shut down. They had absolutely no idea what anything was electronic wise. Nice score!
  10. In addition to the more-than-likely Genesis topic, I look forward to the "Can @Gloves Beat Every PS1 Game?" topic! I got faith in ya, buddy! I want to see this happen.
  11. Here's my haul. Super happy about the Powerfest 1994 and Sydney Hunter homebrew. Powerfest is still sticker sealed. They were supposed to be for the Charity Auction, they ran out of time. I went up to them afterwards and asked what they were going to do with them now, they said if I felt $60 was a fair price and then sold them to me. I'm not complaining. Also the book I got signed by Pat Contri.
  12. We want some non-NA members, we need meta tags to show up in Google. With NA gone, Google will soon remove all Nintendoage.com results. The GoCollect forum also does not have any meta tags. Google listings for forums such as this will soon be much less competitive with NA results gone.
  13. Less than 24 hours! Are we gonna have a mini-VGS meet up?
  14. Time to start pulling out my old manga, anime, and transformers stuff.
  15. Whoa, didn't even see that! Must have been added recently. Thanks!
  16. From what I understand this forum is an opportunity for everyone to start off fresh again, but I supposed ultimately it's up to Gloves and the rest of the Mod team. Regardless, welcome Tanooki :))
  17. Also, I made this to wear. Probably going to put my name on the back:
  18. @Ted Playa How late ya going? I have a 1 hour 40 min drive home.
  19. At first I only saw the top picture, and was like no WAY for $100. Then I saw the games. Pretty solid pickup, good job!
  20. I crush and break your shit. (Picture from last Winter, we don't have snow on the ground.... yet) Here's my beast:
