  1. DoctorEncore: My favorite item is not displayed (NES Earth Bound proto), but really am happy with having all of the PS1 rpgs, think it's 81 games. The Zelda jacket I also really like, tough one to find. Drxandy: The console mods were done by CustomNESguy. I had a bunch of Gameboy bags also, so went with a coat rack...man-purse collection
  2. So I finally got this room somewhat sorted, minus a chair (I do have an ottoman I could use). Sadly I still don't really play any games, but here they are nonetheless. Hopefully the phone upload works!
  3. Just bought Dead Rising today for PS4 on eBay, sealed copy. Will be wiping down the cellophane though! Luckily this won't affect my job/income. Many others are not so fortunate....definitely see lots of price drops. They will bounce back eventually I think. How long that takes is anyone's guess.
  4. Well, seems like spam posting, but guess NA is gone only thing I consider a "grail" at least to me. Pretty awesome stuff guys! Good thread. Oh and damn, would love to have an 85+ Ocarina of Time some day, but probably not...
  5. This was actually a week-long correspondence (also probably around 9 years ago). Apparently it was left behind by his son who went off to college and he just wanted it out of his house. I think he got tired of all the emails he was getting about it, so he ended up just saying that he is leaving it outside his house and I can just pick it up whenever. When I got there, he had all sorts of tools laid out like he was working on something, but I couldn't find him anywhere. The sign was leaning up against his house behind a boat. I just threw the thing in my trunk and headed home. Never saw him, lol...
  6. Got this for free on Craigslist! That said....never really got anything much else on CL other than headaches....for the most part.
  7. Came across these in a bin of stuff, not mine (pretty positive some were from an old friend though). I know I have seen some threads on NA in the past for this, feel free to share! Always thought these were cool to see.
  8. It is a well known prototype, it is essentially retail (EB beginnings came from it). Nothing new.
  9. Repost basically for new forum! I don't have a gigantic collection, but here is most of what I have left. I don't actively collect anymore, but happy with what I have and enjoy seeing other collections. I'm a big RPG guy and wish I had more, but buying a house etc has halted all.
  10. I have come across many of these. Definitely not from being buffed. Just seems to be either a factory defect or artifact from production that affects nothing. No biggie.
  11. Never had a problem with you, enjoyed reading the discussions. If you ever went too far on things I never really took note, maybe just passed it off in my brain as passion. I do remember at least you writing much larger paragraphs in comparison to other members, so you did put quite a bit of thought into it or a mix of just how you are All good, hope to see more of your discussions in the future Tanooki.
  12. I'm silent pretty much but always watching, never cease to amaze me Bronty Very cool!
  13. Hey all, long time member of Nintendoage (lurker since 2009 and joined in 2010). I don't post much, but do check and read daily. You all have been a wealth of knowledge and have had some great discussions, which keeps me coming back. Not a huge collector, but have gone quality over quantity years ago (only around 650 games atm). I am done actively collecting, but outside of NA no one understands my collection so.....here I am still Glad to see the community is still sticking together after the transfer and happy to be a minor part of that. Keep the preservation going all.
  14. My official title at the moment is "Cross Connection Control Technician", however....that really describes about 20% of my job. I work for a local city for the water department. I cover help with water distribution, water plant operations, and backflows. Basically I jump all over the place and help when need be. For the most part I am a data analyst. I check for leaks, look at consumption data, and just generally figure all sorts of things out based on 6 different programs used in conjunction. I really do enjoy it, especially the data analysis. I have a degree in chemistry, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense for what I do.....but it certainly pertains to the data analysis aspect
  15. Dragon Warrior II again....got to the last shrine before final dungeon, just have been slacking the last week or two on it.
  16. The dry erase marker can do wonders, I always try that first. Repeat a few times and see how it goes. Yea though as said, sometimes it's a battle you just aren't going to win without leaving a noticeably smoother spot on the cart if you keep at it with a q-tip + isopropyl alcohol.
