  1. Nice, thanks for the friend requests - gifts sent!
  2. Nice! Wanna be PoGo friends? 6907 6096 9577 Level 34 here, takes forever to level up! I was able to finally take down Giovanni, it seems he is harder/easier depending on which instance you find. I barely won though. Heads up, and I might be wrong, but I think the Go Rocket quest line will be resent every 1st of the month. So...if you complete the questions, as I understand you can start them over on 12/1 if you'd like. At least they added more revives to pokestops
  3. Congrats! Mine is leveled up to almost 2 and a half. I might have gotten lucky, but my boy learned quickly what is Daddy's stuff and his stuff (mostly). Originally i mounted my pricey flat screen up in the corner of our living room for safe usage and then had this elaborate plan to build shelving along the wall for my consoles (wanted to have this done by the time he could walk). Flash forward to the ~2.5yr mark and my duder is awesome enough to not touch Daddy's PS4 Pro or his Switch like ever - which is well within his reach. Now don't get me wrong, he gets into stuff, but a $10 set of baby locks on drawers worked shockingly well still to this day. I definitely keep the majority of stuff out of his reach though. The comment earlier about anchoring shelves and dressers and what not - that is crazy good advice (I think TV's can be too). I used a nice budget friendly set of anchors from Amazon. Don't let people freak you out about being a parent, it just takes getting a system in place and constantly adjusting as things evolve. I'm sure you already are, but pamper that Mama as she's gonna be going through hell (and will for some time if she nurses). As wild as some women are, their maternal capabilities are mindblowing :).
  4. Anyone else find the Jericho bit last night pretty comical? I enjoyed both shows quite a bit flipping back and forth. For the record, Jon Moxley is way more badass than Dean Ambrose - cooler name too lol.
  5. It's growing on me quite a bit, especially the modern functions. I really like that the high-level layout of NA was mostly retained, made for a smoother transition IMO. I will sorely miss the transaction tracker, feedback tracker, and the scoreboard/AVS functionality. The databases were never a biggie for me. Yes, I echo heavily the feelings of not having WATA shoved down my throat - that is refreshing.
  6. I think in this scenario, the Rock is the larger advertising factor like you said. For youtubers, it's not dramatically different - it's just that the commercial advertising on youtube essentially equates to movie tickets purchased, the youtuber pulls in the viewers and gets paid accordingly. The structure of the movie industry and youtube are different of course, but the underlying factors are pretty much the same.
  7. I certainly acknowledge the risks of the sports, my argument was simply that they don't traditionally produce life-long suffering compared to the more brutal sports I listed prior. Auto Racing I should take off my list due to the high concussion chance (Dale Jr claims to have had a lot). However, sports like Golf and Bowling - heck they even have Senior leagues and competitions - people play well into retirement age.
  8. That is theoretically the exact same thing as attracting people to a movie theatre, or to rent/buy a DVD. Youtubers do exactly that, they attract the people to watch their content - they just get paid for views compared to actors who get paid up front (among other long-term incentives).
  9. These are all good points and I agree years of hard training/practice is necessary to reach that competitive level. Yes I know about Tiger and the back injuries, and Earnhardt Jr and the concussions - I'm not saying that doesn't exist - of course it does, it's just not remotely as common as it is for Football/Basketball/Hockey/MMA/Boxing etc. Overall my original point was that these are still "real jobs" in comparison to "youtubing is not a real job", which is silly IMO.
  10. I definitely agree that these sports require a significant amount of training to make it to the big leagues, I just argue that it does not take a lifetime commitment of training and post-competition suffering. As for repetitive motion injuries, of course, although that applies to nearly any profession with repetitive physical motions (even someone that works in an office on a computer for 50 years). I interpreted MrWunderful's original statement as post-competition long-term suffering, like brain injuries, CTE, mental health, blown knees/ankles etc. I still question Cycling though, I know that is physically brutal, so I don't want to assume there aren't long-term impacts, but at least it's not a combat sport with countless concussions etc.
  11. I totally get the lack of job security, but good point I never really thought about them not having benefits (wonder if they rely on spouses or what). Regardless I hope this all gets sorted out soon because there are some people out there busting their tail and entertaining masses - it would be terrible for this of all things to jack up their channels.
  12. For clarity, I was referring to professional "sports" that do not ruin bodies or take lifelong training...such as: Professional Gamers Auto Racing Cyclist Golfers Bowlers Billiards The top competitors of these pull in 7 digits plus a year. There are probably quite a few others. Yes some of these are physically taxing, but nothing that should provide life-long suffering post-competing (cycling perhaps?). I'd like to think these are still "real jobs" :)
  13. Some really bold statements there lol, not all professional sports ruin bodies or require lifelong preparation, yet they commonly rack in millions doing something they genuinely enjoy doing. Learning on Youtube can actually be very comparable to Elementary lessons for little kiddos...I am blown away at what my toddler enjoys on Youtube kids - it's highly educational and he eats it up. As an adult, Youtube can give you street smart knowledge versus book smart knowledge - it could be debated what is more important. I certainly don't agree with preschoolers making millions doing toy videos on youtube - but perhaps that is what you're stuck on with your "not a real job" perspective. There are some youtube creators out there that go above and beyond and put out a quality product - they earn what they make in my opinion if they pull in the viewers/subscribers. One particular Youtuber that I cannot recommend enough for DIY car peeps is "ChrisFix" - check out the quality of his work, I think he has over 5 million subscribers - just bonkers.
  14. I don't know, I think that's a bit rough and unfair to be honest. With that attitude, I hope you don't subscribe or enjoy Youtube much if at all. The high-end youtube creators put out content daily and many work around the clock. It takes a tremendous amount of time, not just skill and effort to put out quality and entertaining videos. As for comparing them to teachers, that's funny because I've learned an insane amount watching Youtube videos. Dare I say I've learned more on Youtube then I did in grade school? If you're not going to respect Youtube creators in this light, what do you feel about professional athletes that "play sports for work"? It's actually quite similar if you think about it (entertainment profession to make $$$). What about professional gamers? Professional wrestlers?
  15. I don't know that Little Mac one is on point! I echo the thanks in bringing these over, I've seen these already but again just lol'd at the office like a dingle.
  16. Interesting...as someone who recently got into Pokemon Go pretty heavily, I find myself watching PoGo videos from time to time. The content creators and their "crews" and what not, are all adults - 99% of the people and crowds in the videos are all adults... But...given that it's for "Pokemon"...how would they rate those videos? This is similar to the Mario example posted earlier - this doesn't feel right at all.
  17. I've heard chapter 3 is where it really opens up and picks up tractions. I've also heard that you carry around a baby? And if you trip and fall, it starts crying and you have to comfort it? I'm certainly intrigued from the few articles I've read, but honestly this is going to be a Redbox weekend snag I feel at most.
  18. Noobs, we all know the best christmas music is the NSync christmas album. Who's with me?!?!?!
  19. Woah the fiend is also a magician! Must watch TV!!! ***DAMNIT I CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME REMEMBER TO WATCH SD ON FRIDAY NIGHTS***
  20. My limited experience so far is pretty good, decent interface. However, my kiddo watches Mickey Mouse Clubhouse...and it seems every time I launch Disney+ I need to hunt that back down and then it tries to start back on S1E1...I feel like I'm missing something. For the shows, do they not track your progress/where you left off?
  21. Damnit Broncos, how could you let that happen? You're a pro football team, you're potty trained and you pooped in the house. I don't care if it's not YOUR house. The Packers are not happy with you. Yes, go sit in the corner and think about what you've done.
  22. Looks like Pouncey got 3 games, seems a little much but he went IDIOT-mode too. The Browns player that push Rudolph back to the ground got 1 game, lol.
  23. Wait, we can download some of the content for offline viewing?!? Suhweet!
  24. This is one of the craziest things I've ever seen - given the circumstances. The Browns had the game LOCKED DOWN, Garrett got a QB hit - then a weak ass unproven rookie QB pulls on his helmet and he lets loose like this!?!?!?!?!? The more you watch the vid, you can see he swung that helmet with legit intent - he went for the homer - just wow. Rudolph is an idiot to start shit with nearly any NFL player, let alone Garrett - he's an insanely athletic ripped powerhouse. He is ripped to the point he wants his body to be viewed like a god if anyone caught that for the ESPN Body issue. Welp, he now has about 8 months to work on his physique lol. He won't play again until next year minimum - IDIOT. This isn't Albert Haynesworth crazy, but super close in a modern game with so much emphasis around head trauma. Just WOW.
