  1. Maybe I'm getting it confused with Sonic the Hedgehog? I saw something about a "European-exclusive" game that actually did have a US release, albeit very small. Why exactly is it so rare? Is it just one of those "nobody gave a damn because the next generation of consoles was already out" games? It seems like it got a release on the Genesis too, I just haven't been able to find anything on the SMS release outside of that segaretro link.
  2. Does anyone know anything about this game? I've heard rumors it was PAL only, but Pricecharting lists it as a North American release. It seems to be extremely rare, but there are quite a lot of complete copies online for an $800 game. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
  3. @Gloves I have an almost full set of NTSC GCN titles, and I'm just missing that darn Metroid/Wind Waker combo pack, Pokemon Box, and Cubivore. I'm planning on getting Cubivore, but most likely will never get the other two. What is needed for the fullset charm? Do I need the combo pack and Pokemon Box (since it isn't a game at all)?
  4. Yeah. Final boss was wicked, there were moon stages, Halloween stages, and even stages inside of a giant robot Mario that was being controlled by pigs. Such a unique game. I'm more of a fan of fast-paced gameplay, and SMB2 is crazy slow. But many people like that slow-paced, chill gameplay which I can totally understand. It just ain't my thing.
  5. Yeah, I love that damn carrot. More people need to play SML2. SML2>SMB2 any day for me.
  6. What do y'all think mini consoles will do after quarantine is up? You have people spending $180 on loose SNES classics, when they were going for $50 in November. I just can't see them holding their price. Along with Ring Fit, Animal Crossing, and a shit ton of Wii consoles, I think they will all flood the market once people can leave their houses. Considering NES and SNES games, as well as Genesis titles, and so widely available (Wii, 3ds, Wii U, Switch Online, compilation packs, ect) I just don't see these niche products holding their value. The SNES classic in particuilar sold 6 million units, almost half of the Wii U's lifetime sales, so it's not like the items are "rare" and the fact that none of the games on them are "exclusive" and can all be emulated really well, there's literally no way that these consoles stay atg $100-150. Now would be the perfect time for Nintendo to drop an N64 classic, though, people online are going nuts for that stuff. I had someone offer me $40 above market value for Ocarina of Time on OfferUp. Absolutely bonkers.
  7. Bump. SMB3 takes a commanding lead! I do think SMB3 has better and more diverse stages, but the boss battles in World are leagues better. Look at Reznor vs Boom Boom or Bowser vs Bowser, World just does boss battles better imo
  8. World just feels way more polished to me, and it certainly has less bs than SMB3. That does make it easier, which I think goes in 3's favor, but to me SMW is just the more enjoyable game. Plus saving. SMB3 definitely gets a medal for originality tho, World felt more like a rehash of SMB3, which I think was one of the reasons the Genesis had a commanding lead for so long. Earlier release, and many at the time just saw World as another Mario game, whereas Sonic was new, had style, and was way more fluid (not to mention faster).
  9. You're sure? Not sure if it's a legal issue and could be considered infringing on Nintendo's right to distribute and copy their own stuff, plus they contain trademarked IPs. If anything we could throw them up on the Internet Archive.
  10. Thank you. Do you know if @acidjaguar has scans?
  11. I certainly, wouldn't, but Gamestops around me are starting to put 360 games and consoles in the "retro" games section. Generally, retro is defined as two generations ago, and that will certainly be the case in a few months.
  12. @Bubbapauls Bless your heart. Now where might I find scans of the supply catalogs? Or at least which catalogs came in which issues?
  13. I love that "Good Luck" rating. Some things like Sculptor's Cut aren't very rare, I mean, they're uncommon, but the price tag is due to high demand/resellers.
  14. So, Sega's 60th anniversary is coming up, and rumors have been flying like crazy. Everyone seems to think they're re-entering the hardware business. Personally, I'm really hoping for a Saturn mini, although I'd take a Dreamcast mini too, which is prob more likely. Are these most likely just rumors or could they be legitimate sources pointing towards Sega's plans? There are articles that go more in depth on this below: https://metro.co.uk/2020/05/28/fans-think-sega-making-new-console-60th-anniversary-dreamcast-2-12769757/ https://www.ccn.com/sega-prepares-console-comeback-and-theyre-about-to-get-wrecked/ http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2020/05/tech_journalist_teases_revolutionary_scoop_in_next_weeks_famitsu_possibly_concerning_sega https://www.siliconera.com/sega-related-major-scoop-to-be-revealed-in-famitsu-column/
  15. Minecraft and the Xbox360 are now considered "retro"
  16. Haha. Still way more than I'd ever spend, but it is cool that you owned it for a time. Did you actually end up making money off of it? It's insane how much prices have spiked in the past 10 or so years.
  17. @ThePhleo do you mind telling me how much you paid for the standee with the writing on it? It's kinda nostalgic to see that "Last Day to Register!!" in sharpie. Makes me wish Ninty still did this kinda stuff.
  18. I'd say the same thing, but some people seem to hate the cape. I personally prefer the carrot in Super Mario Land 2 to the leaf in SMB3.
  19. 6 to 7, it's very close. @Gloves get yer ass out here and vote.
  20. Exactly. He isn't a Republican. He just pretends he is to abuse the party. He's honestly just an insult to American politics.
