  1. Tried out a new filipino style adobo chicken over rice cauliflower with some veggie egg rolls. I felt like the sauce was a little thin and mild, needs some tinkering.
  2. Jealous of y'all's tie dye game.
  3. I had coupons expiring a GameStop on December 31st, but their stock was so depleted, I just tried to find something to flip. I got two copies of Predator Hunting Grounds for the Playstation 4 for free, and traded them back in the next day for $22.
  4. 3 man team just smashed the Diablo 3 WR. Not super exciting unless you know the game, but the previous Any% Coop record was 1h20m52s and they just clocked a 1h19m15s with 3.
  5. I haven't gotten anything for the collection for months despite my best intentions, but this weekend finally proved fruitful. On OfferUp, I picked up this lot of Nintendo portables listed as "for parts". I was hoping some might be an easy fix but true enough, I couldn't get any to work. Still a great price. This lot was another OfferUp grab. They were all listed separate and I really only wanted Punch Out, but she said she'd do $25 for the lot. Lastly, I went into Game Stop to flip some games and found Path of Radiance and Harvest Moon: Magic Melody. Given the price, PoR was never a game I expected to own but for $105 complete with a NM disc (paid for 100% in trade credit), it was too good to pass up. There was even a official 1019 memory card in the case, but since GS doesn't sell them anymore, the manager just let me have it. I didn't realize it in the store, but when I got home and started to clean them up, the game in the Harvest Moon case was actually HM: Another Wonderful Life. So if anyone needs a loose copy, shoot me an offer.
  6. Get him a DS lite. They are much cheaper and easier to find/replace. All the Pokemon games (,plus spin-offs) for the game boy and game boy color have all been remade for either GBA or DS, so he wouldn't be missing out on those. Plus he also gets Diamond/Pearl and Black/White 1 and 2. If he plays a lot of GBA and becomes more interested in old game boy and game boy color games, you can always get him an r4 card.
  7. https://gamesdonequick.com/schedule Always excited to watch this. This round all proceeds are for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. Especially looking forward to: Star Tropics Sonic Mania Little Sampson Cuphead Link's Awakening DX Mega Man, X3, X5, 11 Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour
  8. My wife made beef stroganoff tonight, one of my favorites. I was too hungry to make it look good (this was my second bowl), but it was delicious.
  9. Well I still only see 1 copy at a time on local shelves if at all around here.
  10. Sounds about right. I never played the first one, but my son and I enjoyed number 2. I did the building and he did all the exploring and resource collection on the islands.
  11. Well, just wait for people to set their new years resolutions next week. It will either get bought up by regular people or by scalpers, either way it will become scarce again.
  12. How far are you in Builders 2? That game took almost as long as DQ XI for me to beat.
  13. It's true, now my kids want to get me games since we play together. My son wanted to get me Age of Calamity, but I already got it for him since I'm an adult and have money. I flip and trade games into Gamestop so often she's given up on tracking what I have/want.
  14. I never get games for presents either, but that's because my people don't know enough about games to buy me something. Last time my wife (then girlfriend) got me a game, it was for a system I don't collect. I think it was pac-man or pole position for Intellivision. After that, she swore she'd never buy me video games again, and for the past 14 years she has stuck to it.
  15. I brush with butter and don't do any spritzing or water tray in the oven so it may make a softer crust, let me/us know if you do.
  16. I could tell, I've got a pretty astute pretzel eye. I've made them a couple times and they don't get that Super Pretzel crust, more crusty bread.
  17. Have you ever started making yourself fish burritos but get overzealous and they turn into fish tacos? I have.
  18. Well, my kids got 2 Switch games each (LoZ: Age of Calamity, Mario Maker 2, Let's Go Pikachu, and Cat Quest 1/2), so my one system is getting put through it's paces today.
  19. Listed in alphabetical order. I have no intention on finishing all of these this year as it would take almost 700 hours, but I do hope to take down one big RPG every month. 3DS Bravely Default (56 hours) Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan (55 hours) Return to PopolooCrois: A Story of Seasons Fairy Tale (17 hours) Stella Glow (49 hours) PC Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky FC (40 hours) PSP Lunar: Silver Star Harmony (27 hours) Valkyria Chronicles: Lenneth (30 hours) PS Vita Super Dimension Neptune vs Sega Hard Girls (18 hours) Switch Immortals: Fenyx Rising (30 hours) Mario + Rabbits: Battle Kingdom (21 hours) Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin (31 hours) Shovel Knight Treasure Trove (7 hours) Sonic Mania Plus (5 hours) Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition (50 hours) Ys VIII: Lacramos of Dana (38 hours) Wii Warioland: Shake It (7 hours) Xbox One Cyberpunk 2077 (20 hours) Red Dead Redemption 2 (48 hours) --------------------------------------------------------------------- 1/4 Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky - 12 hours in, finished prologue and started Ch 1. 9/8 Cyberpunk 2077 completed. I got the corporate ending and going back to Earth. I'll do another playthrough to get other endings when more content/updates release. 9/30 I finished Immortals: Fenyx Rising on the Switch tonight. It's described as a BotW clone, and that's exactly what it is. I didn't enjoy the puzzles and platforming as much as BotW but I thought the combat was much more dynamic. It took just under 31 hours, including a couple extra hours worth of grinding.
