Aw, that sucks. It's always been my favourite collection tracker. PriceCharting's UI is terrible, and I don't want to use mobile apps.

Is GVN dead again? Looking at Daikatana 64, it hasn't updated with new CIB sales since February 2021, and the value on it has skyrocked since then.

I always purchased from videogameboxprotectors as the owner was a NintendoAge member and gave a discount to members, plus they were fantastic protectors. Now that there are Canadian options (where I am), I buy from EvoRetro, but if the shipping wasn't so high, I'd still buy from videogameboxprotectors.com

Apparently I'm dumb and literally the most recent sale was a black board version for 450 USD. Gotta stop using ebay.ca for this kind of stuff.

Tried to use ebay solds but nothing has come up in such a long time that I don't really have any clue what something like this would go for. Any thoughts?

Yeah, my wife ended up getting a complete big box limited edition for like 27 CAD or something earlier this year. Doesn't look like that'll happen again.

Also looks like there are a lot of missing listings for Persona Revelations on PS1.

Ah, I hate to keep doing this, but the pricing shenanigans continue. Looks like the overall game lists for an entire system are kept separate from the main pricing. I went into PS1 and organized the list by the most expensive games. The USD list looks accurate, but when converting that list to CAD and doing the same organization, the values are WAY below what the rest of the site lists it as. Believe me, I wish Klonoa: Door To Phantomile was still a $239 CAD game, but sadly it is not.

Not all of mine, but some of the ones I'm most proud of. I've got a bunch of stuff like Star Soldier for N64 and Mario Kart Double Dash for GC, but I got those mostly by accident. Ghosts 'N Goblins I never see sealed, and the Raya set just took me a long time to finish. That Bronkie was a pain.

Unfortunately, this means my overall collection value may not look as impressive when displayed in Canadian, but it's for the greater good.

I had a CIB Kirby Superstar for SNES that grew legs. I imagine I lost it during a move, but I had a much smaller collection then and was very careful packing things up. A couple of years later I was going through my SNES stuff and couldn't find it for the life of me, but it was still in my tracker. Ended up buying another one to replace it but I never did find the first one I had.

I didn't sell off my full set, but I had some doubles earlier this year that included Pokemon Box, Phantasy Star 1&2 Plus, GoGo Hypergrind, and a lot of other heavy titles. I sold them in January for close to market value. How I wish I had just waited 2 more months.

Probably related to the issues I stated above, the historical price of a specific listing is completely broken in the other direction. In USD, the number shows correctly between the listing on GVN and the listing on ebay, but when viewed in another currency, it shows a completely different value that doesn't make any sense. Pictures attached for Batman & Robin for PS1. 23.99 USD, $16 something Canadian, which would be closer to 13 USD when converted.

Something I've noticed, as a Canadian, is that when using Canadian currency, the values are completely broken on some games. Using Top Angler as an example, it averages at $72 USD for a CIB copy of it, but when switching to CDN values, it jumps to $144.55. As poor as the canadian dollar may be compared to US, it's not at 0.5 yet thankfully. I don't know if this affects other currencies as well, but the conversion definitely seems to be off. EDIT: Just checked australian dollar as well. Converting what it says the AUS value would be returns $139 USD. Definitely no where close to the $72 that the US setting gives. Likely affects all currencies that aren't USD. EDIT 2: Just checked a random batman game, Batman & Robin on PS1. $28 USD for a CIB, $56 CAD. Basically double. I think this is affecting everything, and is probably why a lot of people in the Canadian FB groups think GVN is so broken still and refuse to use it. @Magus

Is that why it's considerably more expensive than the others? I went to sell a copy a little while ago and figured it would be a $3 game at most. I was apparently way off.

Pretty much all of my good finds have come from specialty shops lately. There's a few places around that don't really keep up to date with price changes. As far as garage sales and flea markets, those days are definitely long gone. A friend of mine still finds the occasional item doing the daily thrift store / pawn shop rounds, but I find it isn't really worth the effort these days. They're out there, but definitely rare.

I started during a summer road trip in 2011. Bought a SNES from a pawn shop in Washington state on a whim, cause it was only 40 dollars, and I never got to have one as a kid. My only opportunity to play one was when we visited my cousin's house. I found someone in Bellingham selling a copy of Chrono Trigger with the manual (my favourite game) for a good price, and grabbed it on my way through back up to Canada. That started my love of collecting. I started with just a handful of games that I knew, like Turtles in Time, Starfox, Earthbound, but very quickly got serious about it. Now it's 9 years and many dollars later, and I can't stop. I still love the hunt, and my wife has now caught the bug as well.

Recently upgraded my copy of wild guns, and this one needs a new home. Shipping from Canada. Not a lot of recent sales for this. One sold for 450 USD and was missing manual pages, one sold for 1000 USD and was nicer than this one (I think). Looking for somewhere in between the two. Manual is fully intact and the box is pretty typical for the mexico releases. Worst blemish would be the bad sticker removal on the cart label.

I don't have the rest of it, but I do have a loose manual for survival kids if you end up finding a Box/Cart. It's not mint, but it's all there.

Yeah, that manual is probably the hardest part to find. Of the 4 I've had, only 2 had manuals, the other 2 were case/disc only. Never seen a loose manual pop up.
