MiamiSlice | 3,195
I have a bunch of Nintendo Power subscriber issues from the late run (think issue 230 and up). These have the address printed directly onto the front cover of the magazine. Is there anyway to remove this? I want to sell these and I don't want people to know my old address... Worst case is it frowned upon if I block it out with black sharpie??? Why does it matter if someone knows your old address? I wonder then what the value of the NPs is with vs without the address. In almost anything you'd take a hit on the value by altering it from its original state. Personally I don't see the harm in someone having your parents address from like 20 years ago. What is the fear here, that someone will go and rob them hoping to get Nintendo stuff? TBH I'd not worry about it, unless you're the type to shred any and all documents with your address on them prior to recycling. B.A. | 1,147
Sharpie on any collectible makes me want it significantly less. 1 Link to comment https://www.videogamesage.com/forums/topic/5004-how-to-remove-printed-subscriber-address-from-late-nintendo-power-issues/#findComment-115486 Share on other sites
a3quit4s | 4,448
If you don’t want someone to have your address you’ll have to cut that piece off which will de-value them a lot to a collector. If you are that paranoid probably just don’t sell them 2 Link to comment https://www.videogamesage.com/forums/topic/5004-how-to-remove-printed-subscriber-address-from-late-nintendo-power-issues/#findComment-115487 Share on other sites
Hammerfestus | 4,181
Yeah man. Don’t doodle on the magazines. I mean to someone that doesn’t know you it’s really no different than any address. What’s the fear here? Someone sending your parents raunchy postcards? Tulpa | 3,770
Yeah, someone's just going to store them in their collection with all the others they've acquired from all over. They probably won't give the address a second look.
