    • 10/10 - One of your very favorite artists of all time.
    • 9/10 - Killer fucking band. Or artist.
    • 8/10 - Great sound, great songs, great albums.
    • 7/10 - Very good, but not quite great.
    • 6/10 - Pretty good. More than a few songs you like. You'd entertain the thought of seeing them live if they were in the area. Or still alive.
    • 5/10 - They're okay, but maybe not something you'll go out of your way to listen to.
    • 4/10 - Meh. There may be a song or two, or an album that you dig, but you'd rather listen to other stuff.
    • 3/10 - Not very good. You will more likely than not turn the station if they come on the radio.
    • 2/10 - Not your cup of tea at all. Some people might like this, but you are not one of them.

    • 1/10 - Horrible in every way.

    • 0/10 - In the running for worst artist/musician of all time. You would rather take a cheese grater to your face than listen to this.

8/10.  Saw them last year for the first time. Halford fucking rules.

A few weeks ago a guy came into our shop looking at lighting gels and told me a story about working the lighting for Judas Priest show back in 1980. He said they had to keep changing the heights because Halford was going to ride his bike out mid set. At that time they couldn't believe someone would do something so "crazy" on stage.

They’re not horrible, but they don’t do much for me.

I went to an Ozzfest 15-ish years ago that they were playing in. They were right before Sabbath at the end. All of the day long anarchy topped off with a killer Slayer performance leading into them really made Ozzy and Priest look incredibly sleepy in comparison.

Figured you'd like them.  Cannot imagine why.

I'm glad someone sees where it comes from lol.

On another note, one of the reasons I'm such a big fan of Priest is how Halford sings. He can hit those incredibly high notes but more importantly he knows when to do it. Just because a singer can hit crazy notes doesn't mean they should be up there the entire time. I think he gets that perfectly with the exception of a few songs that I'm not a big fan of (Painkiller). I think that's why I can't get into some other bands with a high pitched singer like King Diamond, they just stay in that range even when it's not called for.

I dig their stuff mostly, but just not something I go out of my way to listen to. Tho also not something I'll change the station over if they come on

Also reminded me of this song

Did you just compare FFDP to Judas Priest? No sir, just no.

I didn't? lol

I just remembered that song as it featured, you know, the lead singer of the band being discussed in the thread title, so, you know, I brought it up because it was on topic. Sorry for trying to contribute to the discussion, oh great arbiters of what is and isn't acceptable on internet forums :classic_rolleyes:
