It's pretty funny and actually heartwarming. I'm surprised they didn't make more movies together, as they're a great duo in the vein of Laurel and Hardy (with the thin guy being the straight man this time around.)
 

I know they were both in Little Shop of Horrors, but that had a huge cast and they didn't interact, IIRC.

This is one of those movies I never saw for the longest time, that everyone kept telling me to watch. Earlier this year I actually watched it for the first time. I thought it was okay. I gave it 7/10 here, I did enjoy it, but I didn't think it was anything special. But it's hard to deny the natural charms of both John Candy and Steve Martin.
