  1. Just got Langrisser I+II (switch) and please with it. Going with classic art and music really does make it more nostalgic. So I'm rotating between Langrisser I+II, Two Point Hospital, and Black Flag.
  2. There actually is a pandemic in two point hospital. People with pans stuck on their head.
  3. got Two Point Hospital (switch) in today. Can't wait to play it a bit!
  4. I think in the DS version of Trilogy he's not in it. it's either him or Raiden that's missing.
  5. I get it I'm just a little worried that's all.
  6. I remember enjoying SIMS 2 for DS. Maybe I'll buy it again and SIMS 3 for 3DS now that I'm getting into god game sims on portables.
  7. I still enjoy old MK because of it's simple system of block, uppercut, sweep, special move system. Today's MK is too complex with me with it's combos. I still do like it and I own MKXL on PS4 and MK11 on Switch. But I still enjoy the 1-3 classics. I have trilogy on my DS actually.
  8. how to you make fun of corona virus? Have corona beer stuck on their head? On a serious note, if COVID-19 kills your mom, dad, aunt, grandma or whatever. You'd probably stop joking. It hasn't happened to me yet, but we should be serious about a serious threat.
  9. What's all your guys childhood favorite arcade game? I am old enough to remember arcade venues (We had a large one called Galaxy World) and our bowling alley had an arcade room with like 30+ arcades. The game for me was Shinobi. I played that game SO much as a kid. I've never even beaten it because the later levels are so hard. But I'm a master at the first 4 levels lol. And I do have that game loaded up on my atgames legends machine so I still play it from time to time.
  10. I was browsing amazon like I do often and discovered Two Point Hospital. With good customer reviews. Turns out it's the same dev just with many different people, but it even has the same announcer lady as Theme Hospital. It really does look like an unofficial part 2. Like they really tried to keep the feel of the original! Can't wait to play it and see all of the new funny diseases. And a physical version to grow my Switch collection too!
  11. How could I forget to mention a game like Myst or Riven. Riven I've played for hours and hours, even though I never beat it. But exploring through the beautiful areas was just so peaceful. And yep, it also had lots of environmental sounds.
  12. I'm playing Wild Arms Alter Code F and when you go into an Elm Temple you hear the peaceful water flowing around you. And it had me thinking again about games with lots of environmental sound effects. I'd like to play more of those! Things like games where it rains a lot, sounds of insects, trees swaying, birds, etc. . Here's a list of some of the top ones I can remember. . Aidyn Chronicles N64 - this game has very little soundtrack. And is just full of enviro sounds like water streams as you approach them, insects at night. This might be the top winner IMO. Secret of Evermore - This game has tons of sounds like wind, forrest sounds, etc. . And more low key moody instrument strums. Assassin's Creed Black Flag - music at times when it's needed, and alot of enviro sounds when exploring. Birds, waves, hearing your men sing sea shanties as you hear the waves and wind. It's well done! I mean you could say games like Witcher III. But I don't like the mix of music/enviro and in one area it just rains to much. So yes it could be mentioned but the sound mix just doesn't do it for me. I'd like to hear about some more PS2 games!
  13. Thanks for clarification. Since I got into roms years ago. That's why I didn't see the difference. Yes MAME was called what Magus called it. You had things like SNES9x for snes, Kega Fusion for genesis and sega CD. mame was arcade. Until Retroarch came along, you had to get all of your separate emulators. I remember having several folders separated by system emulator, and system roms.
  14. @sumez I guess that's right I don't know. But MAME is generally known to be arcade games in the emulator community. Whether it's technically right or not.
  15. beat champions return to arms started E.V.O. Search for Eden.
  16. champions return to arms. Nice short action rpg.
  17. LPD? Phosphor glow? Sounds good to me but I never heard of that screen tech b4.
  18. I tried to update the firmware and even that couldn't recognize the controller. I was watching a how to youtube vid and some guy mentioned hold L+R+S and I tried that and the blue light flashed. So I tried that upstairs and it connected. The instruction manual says nothing about this. At least I have a button combo to try if it doesn't pair.
  19. I'm having trouble with 8bitdo m30s. My first one's LED would not come on no matter what I did. Ordered another one and after a week it won't pair with the receiver. Both of them have their blue light on, solid. Won't reconnect no matter what I do. And I read how to reconnect by holding down the middle mode button. Damn. my SN30 has never had trouble what so ever. This is really frustrating me as I still haven't returned my first m30 to amazon.
  20. I have 200 mame games on a stick for my arcade legends. I could list off tons of them or direct you to youtube "top arcade games" lists. But I will instead list my favorites A-Z Aliens Aliens vs. Predator Asteroid Bad Dudes vs. Dragon Ninja Bagman Baseball Stars 2 Bomb Jack Bosconian Buster Bros Cabal Chase HQ Contra Dig Dug Donkey Kong Donkey Kong Jr. Double Dragon Dragon Breed AD&D Shadow over Mystara Frogger Golden Tee Gyruss In the Hunt Jouse Jungle Hunt Kid Niki Mappy Micheal Jackson's Moonwalker Mortal Kombat Mr. Do! NARC NBA Jam Ninja Commando Pac Mania Pac Man Pengo Popeye Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon Punch Out Rampage Rampart Rygar Shinobi Shock Troopers Smash TV Strikers series Super Pac Man World Class Bowling WWF arcade series
  21. my 940e is 24ms which is pretty darn good by LED standards. But with how popular retro gaming is some company should start making small CRT's again. Something along the lines of Sony's PVMs.
  22. curious what TV you have? I have an OLED and FALD and both rate under 55ms on rtings.com. Which isn't anywhere near CRT perfection but feels great to me.
  23. hard to say, but as an RPGer. in 1997 Final Fantasy 7 came out, and after that it really increased the release window of jRPGs in America. So I could say 1995-2000. However my favorite "age" of RPGs is everything from mid SNES all the way to mid PS2. So that spans about 10-12 years. From 1990 - 2002.
