  1. Thanks but ifixretro is cheaper. This guy's Capacitor replacement is $85. ifix is $60. And when you're doing caps, screen, possibly more. It adds up and you gotta save as much as you can.
  2. That first picture of Monster World IV. Holy shit . yeah I def want THAT. Lol. Anyway I look forward to your pics!!
  3. Well I'm glad I don't want HUGE collection. But those minty cardboard games are out there. (these WERE part of my humble collection in the past that I intend to rebuild and take it slow). I still do have some GBA games super mint.
  4. Yeah, a few or so years back I think I spent about $3000 on various minty CIB games from N64, to SNES, to Saturn, to PS1. While I DID keep my PS1 collection. I ended up selling anything older. So I learned from my mistakes. I'm the "own AND play" collector. I will never see myself owning 1000+ games. I like to have smaller collections for a handful of systems. I hope if I stick to it, I won't become so overwhelmed and sell them. Because I WOULD like to hold on to a small collection of SNES and Genesis RPGs!
  5. Thanks he does respond fast. Mind taking a couple close up pictures of a game running so I can see the pixels? He sent me some pictures so it's hard to tell. How sharp are the pixels in your opinion? If the replacement screen is the exact same pixel count it should be super sharp. This looks great, but I think a closer up picture would really show it.
  6. couple more games. Going to do this slow, when I buy too many at once I get overwhelmed and then sell them all. I'm actually going to play and beat these games first before I grow my collection.
  7. popful mail, best game ever made. Well I might be exaggerating but it definitely has a special place in my heart. Memorable music, funny VA. rare 2D Platformer RPG with multiple party members. Not many games like that. One of those early CD-rom RPGs with lots of voice acting and CD quality sound.
  8. bumping with update NEW NEWS!! PINBALLLLLLLLZzzz. . .
  9. I'll be following this as I would like to build a small mint complete collection of snes, genesis, and n64. So far I've bought a few Genesis games and that's it.
  10. I've checked a few titles for SNES and Genesis and all of them went from like $130+ to under $90. Is this a time of year thing or something else? What explains the drop? Super Mario RPG, Shadowrun, Moonwalker all have gone down. And I bet if I check more the overall trend is prices down.
  11. I def favor the PSP due to portablility, comfort, and the sleep/hibernate mode. I can stop at any time, and pick it up instantly. I do have a PS1 w/LCD screen but I'll play the PSP version.
  12. Thanks. I own it for PSP. Maybe I'll give it another go some time. But I'm playing Switch, PS1, and Sega Nomad right now. So much later down the road.
  13. yeah don't waste your time. The original is the only one worth it IMO. Have you thought about trying some other RPGs? There are definitely a lot of masterpieces out there.
  14. Damn you picked some good ones. Vandal Hearts 2 wasn't anywhere near as good as the first. I still remember loving Vandal Hearts. It had the coveted "class up" system. And of course that squirting blood was eerily satisfying.
  15. Thanks all I've seen an 8 bay charger I like I'll check out the eneloops.
  16. I'm just using their standard AA batteries. What I was asking was, are any "types" unsafe? Mercury, lithium etc? The manual just says use AA alkaline. Rechargeable batteries are what, Nihm 1.2v? Alkaline are 1.5. I guess I was wanting feedback from the community. Are 1.2v Nihm safe to use on the Nomad? I don't want to risk damaging this minty Nomad I paid $350 for.
  17. I have the original 6 aa battery pack. I also have an official rechargable one that would need to be modded (not by me). So to take the easy route I'm using cheap amazon basics aa's right now. I'd like to know if any type of rechargable AA battery is safe to use in the nomad, if so what kind?
  18. My favorite Star Ocean's might be the less popular choice. But I like the one on 360/PS3 (Last Hope I think?) and the PS4 one. Integrity and Faithlessness? I did play Star Ocean Second Story a long long time ago when it was new on PS1. Got really far not sure if I beat it. And liked it, but because of it's vastness and "chose your party" thing (I hate choices lol) I don't know if I'll ever go back to it.
  19. XBOX 360 had a few since it was only DVD while PS3 was Blu Ray. So it had a few 2 disc or 4 disc RPGs. I think Star Ocean is 2 disc.
  20. I should join this thread. Lost Odyssey is great I'm currently on disc 3 I think but I took a long break and haven't played it in months. I'm currently playing Lunar SSSC (3rd time) Paper Jam, and Tokyo Mirage Sessions. There will be a little RPG drought on Switch until Late March so hopefully I can beat some of my other games then.
  21. Ah thanks but I'm not looking for sealed. There is a near mint copy on ebay for $180 (got offer for less) and the only reason I'm holding off is the outer manual is slightly worn. So I'm not willing to pay more than $150 - $200 for the thing.
