"Wrong Way" Corrigan was obviously at the controls. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Sheridan Boulevard is a major thoroughfare that goes north and south in the Denver metro area and crosses several jurisdictions. Several years ago they all agreed to put in matching neon looking street signs. They looked really sharp except that it wasn't till they were all up that someone noticed that the name had been spelled as Sheridian. By the time you figure in the collective cost of the signs and the labor to install (and then uninstall) them must have added up to a tidy sum.

There is a Sokoban game for the switch on sale for $8.99 on the eshop. If you aren't familiar with them Sokoban was a series of games where you are warehouse worker who has to stuff crates into weird shaped rooms, Extremely simple mechanics with challenging game play at the higher levels.

I have never played any Metal Slug Games but this looks right up my alley:

Thanks for asking - we are both fine since that stuff was nowhere near us. And we got a fair amount of snow last night which should have put paid to the problems in the fire area. Sadly they think about 1000 homes were destroyed and there are three people missing.

A subdivision in Arvada has also been evacuated - I think it is on the northernmost edge of Arvada. And I think a good chunk of Broomfield is being evactuated.

What is really sad is that much of the area being burned is going to be under a winter storm advisory - several inches of snow may hit the areas to the west and northwest of Denver tomorrow night.

JamesRobot and I had lunch together at 1:00 and the winds came up suddenly - fierce enough that it was hard to walk against. It apparently downed power lines and started grassfires (it has been really dry) which are threatening some populated areas. I have been alternating between watching old Perry Mason and Lost episodes.

What I find scary is that they really don't know how many serial killers there are in the country. Some of them seem particularly adept at hiding bodies. The FBI believes there are 25-50 active at any time but estimates of non-active ones go up into the low thousands.
