  1. I didn't know she was in the military.......
  2. Must be diamonds or platinum to fit on pallets.......
  3. Send me the shipping and handling charges and I will gladly drop ship some of the many Temu pallets I have mysteriously won. Generally from the same source all at once in separate emails. Not exactly sure what a Temu is but the emails seem to indicate it is a rare privilege.
  4. Some fancy Front Mission switch versions. https://forever-limited.com/limited,40.html

  6. I always liked Sonic just chillin' on the beach in Crusader of Centy.
  7. It varies - sometime the CEs take a very long time - the oldest thing I am waiting on is from November of 2022. Generally it doesn't take that long - and the releases they are just hawking for others usually are pretty quick.
  8. Chew on this! Decidedly odd. https://news.yahoo.com/woman-allegedly-stole-thousands-dollars-043928976.html

  10. I have to give them a big kudos - they have really cranked out stuff from the backlog. I am down to 7 orders that I am waiting for - the lowest it has been for a very long time.
  11. Or even earlier - the Vikings could reoccupy the vast areas they once held sway over.

  14. Pinball Wizard is hard to really evaluate on its own since it was an essential part of the phenomenal rock opera Tommy. Tommy was one of those unique (and brilliant) pieces of rock music. Easily nine. Something in the Air is also hard to evaluate since it is now so out of time and place. To really appreciate this one hit wonder one has to be steeped in the milieu of the anti-war sentiments of the Vietnam era. It was featured in the (then) wildly popular film "The Strawberry Statement" - which is now largely non-understandable and irrelevant. Had a really good soundtrack though.* Hovered between a 7 and 8 based on what its place and time was in 1969. Certainly is now an out of place artifact. *Including this really dynamic version of "The Circle Game" by Buffy Sainte Marie.
  15. Please standby - we are experiencing technical difficulties............ https://apnews.com/article/radio-station-tower-stolen-am-fm-alabama-d16a57daeaf10f473df39d628e1fe388
  16. Too bad - so sad....... https://news.yahoo.com/sheriff-politely-goes-scorched-earth-210000295.html
  17. I don't know if I could come up with a top three - too much stuff to choose from. One monster that would be there though would be the theme to ''The Good, the Bad and the Ugly." The soundtrack album was on various album charts for a long time. The single (which was actually a cover) did even better on various singles charts.
  18. This one is an oddity - the Gene Pitney song "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" is (rightfully) identified with the classic western of the same name although it was not in the film. It was written for the film but due to miscommunication didn't get recorded in time - in any event it could only have been used in the closing credits since it revealed the ending of the movie. The song was released about a week after the film was and rode to the number 4 slot on Billboard's Top 100.
  19. Quite likely before your time - but it charted fairly well IIRC. Although initially classed as disco it was actually one of the progenitors of Hi-NRG. I suspect just about anyone of my generation would instantly recognize it from even a few seconds even if they had not seen the movie. The movie was generally well received and did well at the box office.
  20. I am about 2/3 through Dragonbones (the latest Shadowrun novel) - a good spin on the traditional set up in these books.
  21. I do have one of these pog slammers stashed away somewhere.
  22. WTF (on more than one level). https://news.yahoo.com/snapchat-scam-turns-deadly-bartlesville-183822960.html
  23. Heh - I related previously my encounter with one of those jacklegs. It was the first tax year after Mrs. Tabonga died and I just didn't want to deal with it. I went to Walmart for regular shopping and talked with one of them - I described what I had to deal with - actually very simple - qualifying widower's filing with 3 pensions, social security and a very small amount of savings account interest. He wouldn't give me an estimate and insisted on doing them first and then charging me. WTF WTF*. I refused to agree to such a poor way of doing things - I did ask him as I left if he would buy a used car at a car lot by picking it out and then finding out out how much it was after agreeing to buy it. He had no reply. That year, like always, I wound up doing it myself. *Demonstrative way of saying double WTF!
