  1. After putting it off for many years, I finally played through Prince of Persia for SNES. I had the misfortune of having previously only played the NES version, which was not very good. This was a much better experience! Are there any other versions of the original game worth playing? I checked online and most people picked the SNES version as the best one, even though it's a bit different (20 levels instead of original 12, etc).
  2. Clearing out my modest collection of Game Boy Advance games. They have all been thoroughly "tested" (played) and are in perfect condition (see pic). Prices below do not include shipping. Discounts available on orders for multiple games. Thanks for looking! Advance Wars $20 Final Fantasy 1 & 2: Dawn Of Souls $15 Final Fantasy 4 Advance $15 Final Fantasy 6 Advance $30 Metroid Fusion $25 Wario Ware, Inc. Mega Microgames $20
  3. I've had this copy of Metroid Zero Mission for years, but recently noticed that the label is way different than normal, making me think I have a fake copy. Can anyone confirm? Thanks! Update: I don't have the special screwdriver to open it up, but I was able to see that the word "Nintendo" does NOT appear near the connectors like it does with my other games. I'll just call it a fake then. Pity, the game plays just right the real thing and the label actually looks kinda cool.
  4. Any game with Road Runner in it. Arcade wasn't bad, but the NES port stunk. Death Valley Rally on SNES is basically a botched Sonic clone, but had loads of potential.
  5. Depends on how much fun I'm having. Honestly, isn't that all that matters? 100%, side quests, achievements etc , they're all just extra things to do in a game, other than meeting the main goal. Going thru a perfect example of this right now playing Rayman Origins. The choices I have for each stage are: just reach the end, find all the hidden stuff, get the medal, and/or get the time trial trophy. Sometimes I go for everything, but currently it's more fun just to play through. If I have time later (unlikely), I can always come back and do more. Oh and achievements are annoying. Most of the games are impossible for me to "complete" because they require multiplayer and I refuse to pay for an Xbox gold subscription.
  6. I actually really like the DKC3 title screen music. I know it's mostly a remix of the bonus stage track from DKC1, but it's really well done, as are most of the tracks.
  7. Childhood: Tie between the NES trilogy. All of them are perfection in their time. Adult: Mario Bros, the arcade game. Sunk too many hours into it not to mention.
  8. I prefer Toad, except on specific stages where the Princess can make a good long jump or two (5-1 comes to mind). Toad has the fastest speed with pulling and digging (at a minimum use him on worlds 2 and 6). This speed let's him collect more coins for the slot machine, which means more lives! His one weakness is a shorter jump, but that isn't a big deal because he can always do the high jump move when he really needs it.
  9. For me, it's a toss up between 1 and 2. The first game was also one of my very first NES games, so it has a special place in my childhood. I had already played the entire arcade game first and remember loving the little changes. It was actually way harder, since you couldn't just abuse elbow punches to win, like on arcade. 2 was a frequent rental back as a kid, but I never bought it until I was an adult. I remember it more for the annoying platforming than for being a great beat-em-up, but the final stage was special, especially since you had to be on the hardest setting to see it. Honorable mention: Double Dragon Neon! Nice throwback game with one of my current favorite soundtracks.
  10. Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds impressed me more than I thought it would. It starts out a lot like A Link to the Past, but then suddenly everything changes when you get a certain item. Great stuff! Can't go wrong with the Mario games either (though skip Mario Maker if you have it on other systems).
  11. Hi, my name is Tom and I like video games... Anyway, heard that my favorite gaming community moved over here, so that's all I really needed to know. Let the fun continue!
