  1. Yes. People are buying them, swapping them out with cib's they have, and sending them to wata to manipulate the market with misleading frankensteins
  2. Scrolls right to remind everyone who reads their update that "We have this great technology that has been "in development" for not nearly as long as we have been holding all of your games"
  3. Set up a consultation like you would with anything you might need an attorney for (fees for that vary) and then they would be able to discuss a price from there. It shouldn't cost more than 3k max. They're basically your agent. Again, this is a process you might be able to do on your own, but when you're dealing with 6 figure items, I think having an attorney on your side is something to consider.
  4. I've never been charged the 35% fee on top of the buyers fee that they include, but that is something you will have to work out with HA which, in this case, your attorney could negotiate considering this will def be a high value item. I've worked with Valarie and she's been extremely helpful with everything I've sold. HA is def where you want to be.
  5. Absolutely do not sell something like that on eBay. They do not protect the seller. The best way to go for this is to hire an attorney and have them assist you with consigning it through Heritage. This forum hates Heritage, but they are real easy to work with, they have the buyers you're looking for, and they put the seller first.
  6. Good point to bring up about the market. This current practice is a sure fire way to end up getting regulated sooner than later.
  7. Even if it's a good problem to have, I already paid for these games to be graded a year ago at the values they were back then. This sudden surge in prices, and the massive delay in grading my order, should not mean that I have to suddenly pay Wata thousands of more dollars on top of the money I already paid them. This has me concerned.
  8. What happens when they've had your games for an entire year and then in that time some of those games are now worth $10,000?
  9. I wonder if HA has more traffic than CL. I don't use CL, but these prices are averaging out to be comparatively similar. The market is indeed real.
  10. Yea looking at that 9.8 and comparing it to the VGA Sonic, if they were truly graded on the same comparable scale that VGA should come back a 10.0 A++
  11. I think that VGA 85 Sonic would come back a 9.4 or 9.6- making it slightly risky to regrade and flip for a profit after the fees. If we had population reports of these games and knew for sure how many were out there, it would make it easier to speculate. With that said, I think the way the market is reacting right now is based on the insider information of how many of these sealed games truly exist. If I had an extra disposable 5k laying around, I would take that risk.
  12. Na with something like a sticker seal mario, if you send it in on select or turbo, they email you right away and tell you how much your game is worth and then say if you want them to grade it you have to pay a percentage of the value they think it's worth and you get it back in 10 days.
  13. Yes. I'm not sure when I'll decide to shoot an email asking where my MF games are again but it'll likely be soon
  14. They promised me it would only be 180 business days! Heritage sales set off an explosion in submissions since then, so the only thing I can do is continue to wait for my order as I do plan to consign some of the games through heritage and sit on the rest until we actually see a population report.
  15. Anybody have a link they could share about this tax change? I've tried to Google it but just get a thousand ads on doing my taxes and the other stuff is vague.
  16. I think as time goes on and the hobby grows, Genesis will spike, especially popular titles. I think the original Mortal Kombat, the blood game that started it all, will rival Sonic.
  17. What was the point of killing Nintendo Age? Too many people might use all the old threads to start their own grading service?
  18. @jonebone I know where you're coming from and I get it. The games I did get back were actually VGA converts that were 90+. I'm still waiting on a lot of raw games I've sent to Wata over a year ago, so I've never truly seen a game graded by them that wasn't already graded by VGA.
  19. I'm calling the police! Shawn just had his identity stolen!
  20. I'm not trying to flex here but I have A++ Genesis examples as well. Some have very tiny pinhole dots that run a straight line about 3-4 inches long in some cases. Those are from the way the seal came from the factory. That gaping hole in the bottom corner of that Sonic 2 in the photo I shared is not that, it's man made. That's a hole. I agree to disagree and stand firm on my belief that that's an A seal.
  21. A++ is case fresh and is described as perfect. Here's the descriptor for A+ from their website, even A+ seals should not have holes.
  22. This 9.8 A++ Sonic 2 that just sold for 21k is an insult to true 9.8 A++ graded games everywhere. A hole in the seal on the back, the seal is falling off the box like a condom that's too big for it, and it has plastic warts down the side of it.
