  1. Would anyone be willing to share a picture of raging fighter -1? I think it's the only one I've never actually seen before.
  2. That would be cool to see all the manuals. I have to cut myself off somewhere though. If not manuals, then boxes, if not boxes than sealed boxes, if not sealed boxes then anxiety over a little tear in one of my sealed boxes. I'm happy with just the cartriges at this point. It is acceptable to see other people filling in the gaps. I was curious to see what other cartridges people were looking for in case I ever located one that I already have and also just to see some pictures of ones I have yet to see.
  3. What do all of your GB variant collections look like? I've been picking up a bunch in the past couple of weeks from various places but there are still some I have never even seen. I did grab that sml that was up a few days ago. If anyone collects the variant manuals, I just got a really nice Sunsoft Daedalian Opus that I dont care to keep. I am pretty content with the condition of most of the games but there will need to be a few upgrades. My Aerostar is pretty trashed (should of seen it before I cleaned it) but I found it at my local game shop for cheap so it was hard to say no. Here's what I got in the mail so far: http://imgur.com/a/YdSCiuX
  4. Wii U is a good system to collect for. Im about 60 games in. The system is actually a really well done piece of hardware. The controller is kind of like a switch where you can play somewhat portable around your house, depending on the game. So, if you don't want to sit in front of TV all the time, its nice. It can play Wii games natively and Gamcube games (no discs) kind of natively via hombrew. It's not bad for emulating the other Nintendo systems as well. So, it's a good all around machine if you don't want to have everything set up all at once. Ive heard some people complain about disc read errors but I haven't experienced this yet. There's not much in the way of game variant hunting though which is sad. There's some officially refurbished games, some players choice games, and a few other random titles. Honestly, game gear is next on my list after I finish my Gameboy set. I was really wanting to finish the other gameboy sets but there is just so much junk with gameboy color, gameboy advance, and nds that I will not bother with those right now. I had a game gear maybe 15 years ago. I dont particularly remember much standing out in the library but that just means there's some titles to visit/revisit.
  5. I guess I meant the inital release version of a game compared to its respective variant not necessarily variants of other games.
  6. Would it be fair to say that the initial releases of Ducktales 2, Animaniacs, and Turn and Burn are the only three games that are significantly more difficult to find than the variants on this list? Edit:I would also include Star Wars in here as well. I was also thinking that it might be helpful to specify somewhere that the player's choice version of Dr. Mario with the 'E' rating and the player's choice version of Space Invaders don't actually have the player's choice logo on the cart as is specified with one of the tetris variants. Edit* Whoops the player's choice of space invaders does have the player's choice logo. Another thing I just realized is there is no U.S non player's choice version of The Smurfs and Mickey Mouse Magic Wands. You all probably know all this they were just a few things that were initially confusing me that I thought were relevant to this thread.
  7. What's up with the Limited Run Star Wars and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back gameboy releases? Are they the same game as the Gameboy version or licensed by Nintendo somehow? Just trying to determine if they would fit in the officially licensed variant category. Seems difficult to decide. Anyone have an idea how rare the Lock 'N Chase (Sunsoft Label) release is? I see one listed on eBay but the seller wants a crazy high amount of money. I've never seen another.
