  1. I'm happy someone did. It was frustrating every time I seen the auction. $75 seems pretty fair.
  2. Interested what you got the lock n chase for. I think I've only seen 3 of these all in decent condition. The one you picked up, one on mercardi that sold for $7 and one from a facebook group that I picked up for $5. I think I offered the guy on ebay $75 which I thought was more than fair. I can't remember what the highest he was ever asking but it was a bit all over the place. My guess for the ducktales would be %10 or less. It's highly anecdotal as the sample size that is listed over a given time is pretty low.
  3. Awesome. A challenge for the new year I could only find one other sold listing other than the recent one on eBay that im assuming you were referring to. It sold 6 months ago so this one should be fun to track down. I was getting tired of doing the same 5 searches for the remaining variants I need to find every hours im awake. Are you still aware of more variants? Edit* found a second sold listing. Not that that does me any good. Just trying to see how limited this print was.
  4. Submitting to @JVOSS for request to accept gameboy cartridge into reality. As you can see the game is now in hand. Anyone find any other 2 player logo variants?
  5. I mean I could see your point if it was something suspect like a variant that looked fake, or could make someone a lot of money, or didn't follow some kind of trend, or any number of reasons really. But when there are multiple clear photographic examples of a variant for multiple games from multiple people that you have to be on some spectrum to even notice its existence, and there is a pretty clear production trend... you have to be able to use some kind of discretion. Literally, the people that designed and implemented the logo change are probably the only other people that aren't on this forum and have read this thread that have ever cared. I mean, you're free to use however strict of a guideline you want to keep track of your games and determine when you want to explore other aspects of your collection.. but like that's just your opinion, man
  6. You know.. you're right. I should send you my game collection so you can sign off on all of my checklists for me. That way I know for sure what is real. Thanks for being so generous.
  7. The only one that I don't currently have in hand is the Dr. Mario variant which is on it's way and I can post a picture when it arrives. The variant was also accounted for on your list as well, so I am assuming you have this one in hand? If you'd like to post a "real" picture of it before than, you're free to do so. It seems to be a bit paranoid to reject clear photographic evidence of something, but you do you I guess.
  8. Its a deep dive of my games and also all current ebay auctions. I was still thinking about going back through the sold listings, gameboy database, and a couple of other places to check for something different but haven't done that yet.
  9. I have 29 releases with 3 lines in that list You're free to count however you like though..........
  10. I think these are the highest potential games to have the 2-player logo variant without a Rev change. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1BlqASf-W93zDoEvqC7lIk23lnSoJwP7I6KE5-EzHL8c/edit?usp=sharing Go! Go! Tank in May '91, while kind of an anomaly, was the last example I could find of the older 3 line logo The second last example of the 3 line logo, Dr. Mario in Dec '90, also has the updated 2 line logo in its initial release (Rev 0) It's probably safe to assume that for Pinball Revenge of the Gator Rev 0 probably never received the update, since Rev 1 also has the old logo. It could be that Rev 1 received the update. Similarly with Side Pocket, BurgerTime Deluxe, Jeopardy!, Blades of Steel, Tecmo Bowl, Trax, and Double Dribble: 5 on 5, there is probably no 3 line logo for the Rev 1 since the change was already made in Rev 0. So far my count is at 4 for logo updates without Rev changes Motocross Maniacs, Malibu Beach Volleyball, NFL Football, and Dr. Mario It's not to say that there couldn't be other weird examples outside this window, I just wanted to focus on the higher potential games initially. Also Just a note, the player's choice releases do not have the logo present.
  11. How did you get those nice pictures? Haha they spelled original incorrectly. I was going to put a list together of the games with the multiplayer logos to at least get an idea of how many could have the 2 or 3 line difference. There should be a upper limit as well based off the release date of the latest released found example of the 3 line variant.
  12. Yea. A mint copy of donkey kong land, killer instinct, and tetris attack NFRs were also found with this one but someone else got to them first so I was left with baseball scraps. I'm happy to get one though. Yea, I would say my grading scale of what's acceptable shifts considering rarity but the NFRs that have been selling lately seem like garbage and not worth it considering the price spike. Ive only been collecting for about 6 months though so I've still got a bit of patience left.
  13. I'm about 10 retail variants away from finishing the DMG set and I finally broke into this stupid subset. Near impossible to find these mint because I imagine that they get thrown around at whatever store they are distributed to. Please kill me what do all of your NFR dmg cartriges look like? Is a mint set even a reasonable goal?
  14. Nice I picked one of these up not too along with the raging fighter and dragons lair rev 1. All from Canada all separate sellers btw. I havent seen many if any of these 3 pop up in the U.S. I wonder if some of the new rev stock that was produced was sent specifically for late demand in Canada? Could just be conincedental though. Where did you pick up your lock n chase?

  16. All tracked packages have a minimum insurance, or maybe it's just priority. Either way you should just contact the post office where it was delivered and start a case to see if something can happen to recuperate the loss. Work under the premise that the buyer is telling the truth and do all you can to locate the package or issue them a refund via insurance, which is the responsibility of the seller. A paypal refund claim is usually more difficult to accomplish when the tracking shows delivered. Paypal is another route you will probably have to deal with though. As long as you're just not a dick and show all of the information you can and you should have nothing to worry about. Sellers do get screwed some time but that's part of the game.
  17. I would scan them all into a computer and then just copy and paste so each set of pages is in one image. Then you could circle the differences too. It be like a really boring version of that already boring game.
  18. Along that same line, I finally picked up the tetris with no dashes and it came with a manual. Is there still some question about when it was released and if it was intentional or a printing error. Also picked up a track and field -1 manual if anyone is interested.
  19. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Super-Mario-Land-Nintendo-Game-Boy-Color-Game-Cartridge-Only/303622649235?hash=item46b151f593:g:IsIAAOSwCHdfDNVv had me jumping for a second. I haven't seen this fake before though.
  20. Are these final fantasy adventure cartridges just sun faded or is it the camera lighting? Or are some just blue as opposed to green? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Final-Fantasy-Adventure-Nintendo-Game-Boy-1991/274401195660?epid=3777&hash=item3fe395f68c:g:8awAAOSwBuVe6471 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Final-Fantasy-Adventure-Nintendo-Game-Boy-Authentic-Fast-Shipping/274336802815?epid=3777&hash=item3fdfbf67ff:g:8S8AAOSwlBteliY4 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Final-Fantasy-Adventure-Nintendo-GameBoy-Authentic-w-Protective-Case-/113824745941?hash=item1a807bc9d5%3Ag%3A1k8AAOSwRolcaOEu&nma=true&si=TLguy9DnYAGcSVYJqmOLAWWs18U%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
