I also have a Jay and Silent Bob Mall Brawl Steam key up for grabs. There’s a 5 percent coupon code for the LRG Switch version if anyone is planning on ordering one of those too. Quote me.
  2. Yep. I deleted the pics but it’s not a huge deal. It’ll take an hour-ish to do it again depending on how lame the AI is being.
  3. I did find a crappy unboxing video of what appears to be a reprint. It’s not 100 percent clear, but it looks like it does just have a sheet of paper that isn’t in the other unboxing videos. Maybe the lack of weight in yours is because of similar contents? I’m not suggesting yours is the same reprint, but it kinda looks like they have actually shipped without a manual. That lends credence to the case that yours may be legit. And when you say that yours is almost the same as the one I posted - are you talking about the supposed reprint photo or the stock photo?
  4. I’m currently rekindling my love for Blizzard RTSes by causualing my way through Starcraft 64. The “survive for an overly elongated amount of time” missions are a pain but it’s been good otherwise. I’ll probably pivot toward some more Bombermans if that one gets completed or angers me. I’ll continue to sprinkle in some garbage fighters because most sports and racing games are a tough pill to swallow for me. EDIT: On a disappointing note, I did manage to beat Killer Instinct Gold before realizing that the requirement was hard mode. It was everything I had to beat that cheating ass Gargos, so I’m not going to frustrate myself with it.
  5. Are you reading just the first copyright date? This is the back of an alleged 2014 reprint. I’m not sure if you can see it but it says “2007”, then a bunch of words, then “2014 Nintendo”. This is an original print. Mine is just like this and has the manual. You’ll notice that the same text only spans half the case and that both dates read 2007. There’s also the fact that the first print was made in Japan and the reprint was made in the USA and possibly other subtleties that I’m not catching quickly off hand. If that’s still not the case, I’m stumped without some more research.
  6. There was a reprint. It has a different ESRB logo, 2014 copyright, and possibly a different Nintendo logo. The second to last comment on this linked forum thread details what someone else found in a reprint: https://forums.serenesforest.net/index.php?/topic/51395-nintendo-reprints-radiant-dawn-no-seriously/page/2/#comments It basically says there’s just a disc and a slip of paper telling you how to access the digital manual. It’s also in one of those lighter recycle symbol cases.
  7. @Jeevan Sounds great! I’ll keep an eye out.
  8. @Jeevan I spent years slinking around the NA buy/sell boards exclusively so I figured I’d turn over a new leaf and make myself useful elsewhere this time around. I’ve been tinkering around with a variety of games to try to match mood. Dipped my toes in stuff like Goemon, Hybrid Heaven, Winback, Fighting Force, and Nightmare Creatures with some mixed results. I’ll keep digging to see if anything grabs me. There’s a laundry list of god-awful short fighters left that tend to match my time constraints so that’s why I’ve been gravitating toward them. And speaking of which...
  9. In the hotly contested 32/64 bit generation, Sega released the commercial smash hit “Panzer Dragoon Saga”. With sales topping numbers put forth by titles like Final Fantasy VII and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Sega effectively won this generational battle in the greater console war. Panzer Dragoon Saga remains a classic played by millions the world over and has been ported, remastered, and reimagined numerous times.
  10. I’ve never played the free NES and SNES games you get with the Switch online subscriptions but apparently you can play with or against people online. https://www.nintendo.com/switch/online-service/nes/ That way you could actually play against someone on Super Mario Kart or something else.
  11. 10 - Another day one buy for me. BotW doesn't necessarily do anything revolutionary, but it takes the better concepts of several games, mashes them together, polishes it up, and executes it very well. I enjoyed combing through every square inch of that map and hunting every Easter egg. It's incredibly well done and sits near the top of my all time favorites. My biggest gripe is the same with nearly any modern game: DLC... and it isn't going away anytime soon. There's been countless threads on countless forums beating the DLC horse to death, so it's hard to expect BotW to be different. Luckily, it's popular enough to be re-released as a "complete" version in the future.
  12. Yeah, it’s nothing spectacular. Feels like there’s an incredibly easy way to beat every level masked by a bunch of confusing filler. I bet it’s a speed runner’s dream.
  13. The relative cheapness and smaller library of the Wii U are pretty attractive. I've been contemplating whether or not to beef up my collection. Recent Switch ports and most decent third parties having ports to the 360/PS3 are keeping prices suppressed. There's decent chunk of variants that might make the chase fun and there's still a good chance of finding some mispriced titles. The library itself may even slink up in price at a fast clip once the fairly low print run for everything dries up... ...I feel like I made a similar pitch to myself for the Dreamcast a few years ago.
  14. Never played the Wii version but it sounds like it's a fairly loose remake. Daniel Craig is Bond instead of Pierce Brosnan. The maps aren't necessarily the same. There's a different-ish story. https://kotaku.com/goldeneye-for-wii-is-a-remake-with-some-asterisks-5564445 The PS3 version came out a little later. It looks like it was pretty much a beefier version of the Wii game.
  15. It's all playful tongue-in-cheek with me. I haven't posted much on these boards for people to get a solid read on my sense of humor. I saw a finger wagging at me in your other post, so I figured I'd flip a little dirt back at ya. I think the difference in opinion here lies in what you and I value in grading criteria. You put more weight into a historical approach and I'm lumping it in with everything that ever existed in today's world.
  16. Yeah, I'm sorry but those that are into controller-shaming need to take a step back and a deep breath. I never said I hated the game. In fact, it was quite the opposite. Yes, in a perfect 1997-98 vacuum the game is great, highly acclaimed, and the control scheme was fine. So if you want to remove time and controller factors, then yeah throw up 11/10 or whatever number greater than ten that you feel justifies your enthusiasm. But right now, if I'm playing Goldeneye, it would require me to spend the extra time and effort to re-learn what used to be the standard. It's kind of a pain in the ass for a decent game that doesn't quite have the same luster anymore (I know, I've done it in the past couple of years). If it's either that or play something else that's more familiar, I'll likely follow the path of least resistance and play something else. With 20+ more years of game libraries to choose from (and everything before it), I'd say that "5/10 - It's okay, but maybe not something you'll go out of your way to play" fits this sentiment quite well. It's kind of similar to when someone says that they almost exclusively play shmups over their beloved RPGs because they're easier to pick up and play.
  17. This was a day one buy for me when it was originally released. I loved it, played the hell out of it, killed 006 on the Cradle long before the twat king killed him on Game of Thrones, I Gamesharked it, and have wonderful multiplayer memories of it. The problem is that modern games have ruined my ability to play an FPS on anything but a twin stick controller or a keyboard and mouse. So this one is really difficult to go back to when I start flipping through N64 carts.
