  1. Here we go again... https://www.iam8bit.com/collections/legacy-cartridge-collection/products/the-lion-king-legacy-cartridge-collection https://www.iam8bit.com/collections/legacy-cartridge-collection/products/aladdin-legacy-cartridge-collection I love both games and I like the packaging for both of them, but I can't get over how much they charge for these.
  2. When I was a kid I would pick up and put down games without much thought. I was less concerned with getting to the end and more interested in exploring the levels/worlds/etc and having fun. As a result there were very few games from my childhood that I beat without using cheats. But now if I start a game I almost always finish it unless it is awful (and even then, I usually will finish). If it's a game I really enjoyed and 100% is feasible then I will go for that too. But if it requires a second playthrough I usually won't bother. Only two games in recent memory I didn't finish: Paper Mario for Wii U, and it's mostly because my save file corrupted and I didn't care enough to restart it even though I wasn't too far into it. Kingdom Hearts HD for PS3, just really couldn't get into this game at all. Probably would have loved it if I played it back in the day, but felt really dated to me a few years ago when I tried.
  3. I didn't have any glitches with Owl Boy on Switch. I enjoyed the game all the way through honestly. Just thought I would throw out an opposing opinion for those who might be on the fence. It's definitely not a perfect game, but at <10 hours it's definitely worth a play.
  4. Top 5: 1. Ocarina of Time 2. Breath of the Wild 3. Majora's Mask 4. Link's Awakening 5. Skyward Sword I grew up playing the original Zelda on NES in the early 90s but never had a SNES so I didn't get to play ALTTP when it was new. I remember seeing an ad for Ocarina of Time and immediately knew I had to get it. It's still my favorite game of all time, and Zelda is easily my favorite series. The only main series title I still need to play is Spirit Tracks. Also BOTW is the closest I've gotten as an adult to the feeling my first play through of OOT gave me. It was really more than a video game, it was an experience. I'm beyond excited for the sequel too, giving off some dark MM vibes just based off the short teaser!
  5. Charmander for sure. Can we also just appreciate how beautiful the art for the original Pokemon cards were? I love how they look
  6. Same. I'd say 95% of my game purchases this year have been Switch releases. It's been a really fun console to collect for because there are a lot of great games on it.
  7. Just finished getting 100% on Link's Awakening Switch this weekend. Dampe's Dungeons are a pain because it's just not that fun. Rest of the game was great though. Right now I'm finishing up my first (Blue Lions) playthrough of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, 2 chapters left. I plan on trying to beat the original Castlevania this weekend, and then starting Luigi's Mansion 3 on Oct 31.
  8. One of the bigger issues with NA (and forums in general really) is a lot of great informative topics can get lost easily. What if there was a subforum in the collecting section that has some of the more helpful, essential and informative threads in one place? Stickies are typically what would happen, but there would just be too many to keep stickied. I've seen some forums do this with success, and it makes it easy to find instead of having to search through a bunch of topics. If the mods decided to go that direction it could be a forum that doesn't allow new topics to be created in it, and then if a thread is deemed extremely helpful it could be moved to there and still allow posting/discussion in it, that way it doesn't get flooded with the same topics over or things that aren't that useful.
  9. I think the post-ROTS, pre-ANH period is a really interesting time for a Jedi game honestly. We have the Rebels TV series (and Solo) but not much from that era and the Inquisitors were some of the cooler things introduced in that imo, so a game where you are being hunted down sounds great. I'm excited for it. The Jedi Knight games are some of my all time favorites so I already got my pre-order locked in. A little worried about EA but as long as they aren't having the same guy that wrote the BF2 campaign story we are probably in the clear.
  10. Thank you for reposting this here, it's a big help for completing my Zelda collection so I'm glad to see this one survive NA!
